The paper deals with stock market indices. It reveals the flaws inherent in traditional market capitalization weighted indices, that causes a return drag. At the same time it shows how you can get rid of these flaws by using fundamental indices, and gives proofs about their superiority. The practical part focuses on building fundamental indices of czech stocks traded on the Prague Stock Exchange, dealing with historical data. It empirically demonstrates their outperformance of a benchmark market capitalization weighted index.

Bc. Ji í Ondruš The Jesus' Beatitudes in the Context of the Gospel of Matthew Anotace v anglickém jazyce: The Jesus' Beatitudes cannot be understood as a completely isolated part of Jesus' teaching. Therefore, the knowledge of the whole gospel of Matthew is necessary for their understanding. In this thesis I compare the individual words contained in the Beatitudes with the same words in the Gospel of Matthew outside the Beatitudes. By this means I find the meaning of Jesus' message in the Beatitudes contained in the Gospel of Matthew. I also present and compare ancient Greek copies (the Sinai Code and the Vatican Code) and six most famous Czech translations of this Gospel. I also compare the exegesis of well-known biblical scholars, especially what they agree on, but also what they fundamentally differ on. An important part is also a synoptic comparison with the Beatitudes of the evangelist Luke. The aim of this thesis is to get as close as possible to the meaning of the specific section of Mt 5: 1-12, which represents the lifelong program of Jesus' followers, but also Jesus. Jesus introduces himself at the beginning of the mountain sermon. He speaks not only of how his disciples are supposed to be, but also of how he is.

This master's thesis is about the most known methods for face recognition. There are described their advantages and disadvantages. This work is specialized at holistic methods for face recognition, which are working with 2D pictures of people. I implemented the automatic system for face recognition according to digital picture of face. There was, in this system, implemented these methods: KNN (K nearest neighbour), PCA (Principal component analysis) and LDP (Linear doscriminant projection). There was done some tests to compare implemented methods. The tests was done on the pictures from dataset FERET. In the conclusion of this text are considered implemented approaches and is marked the best method for face recognition from implemented.

This master’s thesis is focused on a new production technology of a rotational part. The SolidWorks software was used for create the component design. According to the proposed models, CNC program using parametric programming using mathematical functions was created in the CNC Syntax Editor Free Edition program. The final step was the experimental verification of the functionality and components compared with other type and the economical evaluation of manufactured components.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá dynamickým vykreslováním vektorových leteckých map, především letových trajektorií a navigačních bodů do mapy. Mapy jsou integrovány do mobilních aplikací, které piloti používají během letu a které nahrazují původní papírové mapy. Práce obsahuje teoretický úvod do problematiky a základní pojmy používané v letectví a navigaci. Další částí práce je průzkum, popis a zhodnocení existujících řešení a aplikací společně s návrhem a designem nového řešení. Nakonec je prezentována implementace demo aplikace pomocí WebGL knihovny a výsledné vyhodnocení a porovnání.

The dissertation thesis: THE ISSUES OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS IN THE COMPETENCY BASED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Mgr. The thesis aim is the underestanding of the competences in the pedagogical, andragogical and human resource management meanings. The thesis focuses primarily on the professional competences of the high performance, their identification, development, and the possibility of their usage in the recruitment, training and evaluation system, respective in the Human Resources Management system. The main thesis objective is the contribution to the development of science by the survay realisation in the area of the Competency Based Interview efficiency and the encouragement of a further investigation of this method. The thesis deals with the Jesus' logia about vocation contained in Matthew 8, taking into account the synoptic parallel of the text in Luke. The original Greek text is, first, translated into Czech and then linguistically analyzed. The thesis further examines the original setting of the logia and their foundation in the hypothetical Q source. With the help of selected commentators (France, Hagner, Osborne, Fausti) are the logia and their meaning interpreted within the wider context of contemporary research. These modern interpretations are supplemented by views of the early Church Fathers. The method used in the present thesis is the analysis of the original text and a comparison of relevant commentaries.

This thesis deals with the Featured Driven Development (FDD) agile methodics. To support this methodics, an information system has been created, providing all team-members with instruments to follow the methodics. This multi-user system is implemented as a web-based application, enabling creation of a feature list,  plan a project, support the cooperation among the feature team members and watch the project progress in an illustrative way. To improve the visualization possibilities, a wide range of reports aimed at the company management and the client is provided.

In my diploma thesis I have described several management theories and concepts used in practice and illustrated them with examples from the practice. The theory does not always coincide fully with the praxis, there are rather some common points. Both the company I write about and its management system are very specific, therefore it is a very interesting example, but not generally predicative. I would be glad if this thesis could also serve as a well- arranged material for the people in our company. In the theoretical part I have treated the management theory first in general and then several particular theories or concepts which I examined more deeply. These are the manager theory, the motivation theory, critical success factors, management by objectives, knowledge management. The empirical part concerns the practical use of these theories the company of my interest. The whole thesis is thematically wide, but the extent is limited here. Therefore it does not contain whole descriptions of the theories, but rather insights and some chosen elements. Also the empirical part does not fully examine the function system of the company and the work in it, but chooses the elements corresponding with the theoretical concepts described instead.
