Křížkovský, Matyáš January 2016 (has links)
The presented work is devoted to the development of Czech environmental movement in 1990's which is accompanied by academic debate about de-radicalisation. The aim of the thesis is to explore what sort of particular changes in the field of political ideas could be identified behind notional de-radicalisation. For this purpose is first laid out the historical context within which the movements were created onto their political ideals. It is followed by an introduction of the theoretical approaches to analyse these ideologies, outlining the basic methodological assumptions for a morphological analysis of the journals of Hnuti Duha. This analysis shows that between the periods 1991-1994 and 1998-2000 can be seen significant ideological transformations that are linked both with the inclination to certain elements of conservative thought and partly an inclination to a non-political politics. Zpěváčková, Barbora January 2020 (has links)
From 1948 to 1989, the newspaper Rudé právo was the central press authority of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. Its content that was presented to the public, was ideologically focused in accordance with the current propaganda line of the Communist Party. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the situation began to change and, above all, domestic political content began to go through considerable change. This thesis analyzes the domestic political articles that were published in the Rudé právo during 1989 - eleven months before the Velvet Revolution and the period after the Velvet Revolution until the end of 1989. This work captures what topics the texts dealt with, which topics were preferred and which were neglected. Vliv institucionálního prostředí na vývoj ekonomik postsocialistických zemí

Mádr, Michal January 2017 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with economic consequences of established institutional environment in the post-socialist economies. The institutional environment is associated with political arrangement. The main aim was to investigate whether level of political environment affects economic performance in the post-socialist economies. The level of political arrangement is expressed by two groups of indicators. Firstly, a standard expression using the three indicators is employed (Freedom in World, Polity2, Liberal Democracy Index of the V-Dem Project). Secondly, the level is associated with the individual political regimes (democratic and authoritarian regimes; liberal democracies and non-liberal regimes). Based on received results of linear regression analysis, it can be argued that the higher level of political institution supports economic performance. Simultaneously the individual analyses indicate liberal democracies achieve the highest economic performance within the individual political regimes whereas democracies have similar economic outcomes to authoritarian regimes. The first partial aim was to verify opposite relation, it means whether factors of economic performance representing the Modernization theory have affected formation of political regimes in the post-socialist area. Probit regression analysis was used for attainment of the partial aim. The analysis identified the individual factors of the Modernization theory (level of economic development and schooling) have had impact on establishment of liberal democracies. According to the results of probit analysis the other two theories explaining establishment of political institutions were discussed, namely the Early Developed Institutions and the Natural Resources Curse. In the last part, the second partial aim was achieved by testing reciprocal causal link between level of political system and economic performance with using the test of Granger causality. The results indicate there is not reciprocal causal link in Granger approach between the observed variables. Simultaneously the reciprocal causal relation occurs only within liberal democracies.

Imigrace do Itálie v letech 2005 - 2009 a role EU: Pohled italských politických stran / Immigration to Italy in the years 2005 - 2009 and the role of the EU: A View of Italian political parties

Bořkovec, Matouš January 2011 (has links)
The thesis inquires into the stances of italian political parties towards the issue of immigration in the years 2005 - 2009 with a particular concern for the role of the EU in this policy area. Using a theoretical clasification of Zincone the thesis analyses parties' documents, electoral programmes and newspaper articles in order to identify the main issues and approaches adopted by the italian parties during the selected time period. The thesis proves to some measure the hypothesis that right- wing parties adopt mainly functionalist, legalitarian and identitarian approaches to immigration, whilst left-wing parties adopt solidarist, human-rights based and multiculturalist approach. In the run of the selected time period there was an increasement in the security rhetorics even by left-wing parties, so a political competition for ownership of the security issue was observed. Also a hypothesis was partially proved that left-wing parties want the EU migration and asylum policy to have a wide impact, whilst the right-wing parties want mainly the EU to help the member-state with the fight against illegal immigration and with negotiating readmission agreements.

Dopady společenských změn souvisejících s integrací imigrantů na mediální a politickou scénu Nizozemska / The impact of social changes caused by the integration of immigrants on the medial and political scenes of Belgium and the Netherlands

Koska, Adam January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the phenomenon of immigration and integration, which started to play a crucial role in the sphere of Dutch politics and media in the mid-nineties of the twentieth century. The start of a public debate about this topic and the gradual withdrawal from the multicultural integration model have caused immigration, integration and - since 2001 - also Islam to become among the key topics that the Dutch media have refered about and that political parties have taken stances to. Political entities that could be described as "anti-immigrant" perceive the topic of immigration as the cornerstone of their political identity, but "mainstream" political parties have eventually also had to re-evaluate their stance to this topic. Regarding immigration and integration, the media are exposed to conflicting pressures of political correctness on the one side and the appeal to their audience on the other. One of the ways how to increase the appeal is through the allure of controversy, which is something that the can be achieved by stigmatisation of Islam, especially since 2001.
