Title: Sport and physical activities in senior population - situation and promotion in Cheb Town The aim of this thesis is to examine what way of life seniors in Cheb prefer, what physical level they achieve and what specific programs and opportunities for leisure activities for this specific group of people in Cheb is organized. Conducted survey is to provide answers to questions primarily related to the level of physical activity of seniors and integration of these activities in their lifestyle and perception and satisfaction wit treir own health and life. Results of this work are the proposals that could help engage more seniors in an active lifestyle and proposals that could be considered by established organizations devoted to work with this specific group of people. Forecast of the size and structure of the prison population in the CR Abstract: Forecasting of prison population in the Czech Republic is almost an unexplored topic. To the whole prison system as a topic is also devoted little space in the literature. The most advanced methods of forecasting of prison populations cannot be used to the Czech data, which are used in countries with a long tradition of it. The data are not connected between Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior, and also differ in their definitions. It is therefore necessary to use a simplified method, which correspond to the data sources. The process is also interfered with unexpected external factors such as the amnesty of the President of the Republic on the 1 January 2013. Models for convicted expected forecast decline in their number by the end of 2013 to 12 to 19 thousands. Models further assume that a decline in 2013 would take place, even if there were no amnesty. Models for the accused assume their fluctuation around the same values. Follow-up calculations show that the state would save significantly by the projection models variants and also the burden on prison officers in correctional facilities would be reduced to 2.1 to 3.2 prisoners per guard from the current 3.5 prisoners per guard. Planning of school capacity in the Central Bohemia Region Abstract The objective of this thesis is to show the connection among demographic trends and the development of the educational system in the Central Bohemia Region from a quantitative point of view. This thesis focuses on repletion of school facilities, availability of education at pre-primary and basic levels and the possibility to estimate the basic parameters of the education system in future years. The first part addresses issues of methodology and the education system in general and theoretical level. It focused on the literature and data sources on the subject, describing the educational system in the Czech Republic and the development of educational legislation, explaining the methodology used in the second part of the thesis. The second part deals with specific application to data from the Central Bohemia Region. This section shows the numbers of children in nursery schools, pupils in basic schools and repletion of school facilities found in the districts of the Central Bohemia Region. The spatial distribution of school facilities is shown by proportional symbol technique. Nowadays, what has become a subject of frequent discussions is the demographic trend of rapidly aging population, which significantly influences current pension system. Goal of this dissertation, besides description of relevant legislative development in Czech Republic and Poland, is to introduce theoretically possible parameters of regulation before and after pension reform (2013) assuming that rules for retirement at a particular age are valid. This dissertation works with following parameters: retirement age, replacement ratio and pension insurance tariff. Based on these parameters, three different projections have been created and described theoretically possible regulations of specific parameters of pension system while using following indicators: rate of economic dependency, ratio expenses on pension system : GDP and pension insurance tariff. The diploma thesis evaluates the capacity and financial availability of social housing for the elderly living in a town called Strakonice, comparing it to the demographic processes related to the age structure of this town. This thesis also introduces all social services relating to the ageing population of the Czech Republic and compares them with the demographic forecast process and the country's age structure. A similar approach is used when analyzing this reality in the town Strakonice. The secondary objective of this thesis is to detect all sorts of social services funding, considering the revenue and expenditure structure of elderly social housing in the Czech Republic and also in the town Strakonice. In the last part of this paper, there is an economic analysis of one residential social service, which is designed for seniors living in the town Strakonice.

The demographic structure seems to change dramatically over the next 50 years in the Czech Republic. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of expected demographic changes on the future development of a real interest rate and international capital flows. In order to simulate the impact of the expected demographic changes upon the mentioned variables we apply a computable overlapping generations model. The real interest rate development is simulated under a closed economy assumption. As a result of the future expected demographic changes labour-capital ratio tends to fall, i.e. the real interest rate diminishes. The range of a change is significantly affected by a public budget closure rule. In case of an endogenous income tax rate, the real interest rate falls down by 0.5 percentage point. On the contrary, the real interest rate decreases by almost 1 percentage point in case when public transfers adjusted. Assuming an open economy, we simulate the impact of the expected demographic changes on the international capital flows between the domestic economy and the rest of the world. In case of increasing ratio of older agents, the aggregate domestic wealth surpasses the demand for capital by domestic firms. As a result a part of domestic capital is exported abroad. Increasing level of net foreign assets contributes to positive change in ratio of the balance of payment to the domestic production in a range from 2 to 5 percentage points over next 40 years if income taxes or public transfers change respectively.

This thesis deals with the comparison of the European Union countries, in particular their schemes of pension and living standard of pensioners who use these schemes in confrontation with the economic standard of these countries. After a theoretical introduction, where various aspects of operation and theoretical construction of the pension system are introduced, there follows a brief outline of the situation in each country, completed with comparison of the values of indicators relating to the pension systems. The middle part of this thesis is devoted to the process of population aging, as the main cause of the current need for reforming the pension systems and the adequacy of extending the age for retirement. The last part of this thesis is devoted to determining the sequence of the states of the European Union by the standard of living of people in retirement age and confronting these results with the information on economic standard of these countries.

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to present a complex view of the online communication, standing on three main pillars. The first pillar is the market environment that creates the basic conditions for the online communication. Second important point is the digital communication itself. In the thesis there are described the specifics of the mostly utilized digital media. The last key element is the internet user. Thanks to many segmentation criteria we can distinguish between the users and define unique characteristics of the users that can be useful for market targeting and positioning. For that reason, the main theme of the practical part of the thesis is the segmentation of the internet population of Czech Republic. The segmentation was performed via advanced analytical and segmentation software Data Analyzer that is working with the database MML-TGI collected by the research agency Medián.

This diploma thesis summarises current approaches to age management, or human resources management taking in account the age and skills of employees in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this paper deals with the background of this concept, describes the present demographical development, its consequences in the labour field, and the problem of aging population which is visible in the need to adapt applied management strategies in organisations to this trend. There are mentioned several programmes, thoughts, and legislative measures on which the newest concepts and strategic plans in Europe and the Czech Republic are based. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on a specific level of organisations, and consists of two surveys. The first one is a comparative case study for which data were collected in two organisations which have recently implemented measures stemming from age management strategies. These measures are then specified and confronted with the statements of the employees who, in semi-structured interviews with the author, talked about the changes that were put into practice under the concept of age management, and about the discrimination of persons over 50 years of age on the labour market.
