This dissertation presents a contribution to the study of a single-phase voltage inverter (VSI – Voltage Source Inverter), with current output, applied to the processing of photovoltaic (PV) solar power connected to single-phase electric distribution network. By controlling the average current, it is possible, in a single stage of power processing, to track the maximum power point of PV array and inject into the grid a current with low total harmonic distortion (THD) and in phase with the AC mains voltage. To implement the control system it is used a low cost Texas Instruments' analog integrated circuit UC3854, which includes a power factor correction typical function. Equations concerning analysis and design steps, simulation results and experimental data obtained from a 720W prototype are included in this document.

Návrh konfigurace napájecí sítě rozsáhlého strojírenského podniku / Design of supply network configuration for large engineering company

Němec, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This master-thesis analyzes issues of suggestion configuration of power supply network of industrial business. The option of the scheme of the configuration, the voltage level, the way of compensation of the reactive power, the way of the suppretion of the energetic interference and other requirements is included in the main tasks. This option has to be convenient with the requirements of the industrial business. The important point of this proposal is to prevent the influence of the superordinate distribution network. The compensation which keeps the power factor in the prescribed limits is one of the precautions against the influencing of the network. The second precaution is the elimination of energetic interference. The higher voltage, the fluctuation and the asymmetry of the voltage are the interferences which have the biggest impact on the industrial networks. The master-thesis offers the summary of the possibilities and ways of the elimination of the basic elements of the energetic interference.

Analýza toků jalového výkonu v distribuční soustavě / Load flow analyses of reactive power in distribution system

Krátký, Michal January 2014 (has links)
This thesis is focused on issues with transmission of reactive power though the distribution line of E.ON area. The goal is to find out where and in what rate are overflows of reactive power and to project the correctional steps to minimize this overflow. In this solution, there were used data of dispatcher measurement, which were processed by created source code in Matlab. The processing was analyzed for final conclusion. There were discovered shortages in overflow of reactive power in transfer between distribution and transmission line and in unsuitably regulated capacity power factor in Planá power plant and wrong automatic regulation of turns in 440/110kV substation Dasný. The action to minimize overflows of reactive power was projected by decompensation reactor placed in T101 and T102 transformers in substation Tábor.

Bernáth, František January 2014 (has links)
This work deals with the deployment of distributed power sources into the electric power grid. The nature of these sources causes that the massive integration may experience problems with power quality in the local context, and also overall reliability of supply in the range of interconnected power systems may be endangered. Work is focused on local voltage quality problems with special emphasis on analysis and design of tools (e.g. reactive power compensation units of power plants or dynamic voltage control by transformers 110/22kV) for voltage control in power distribution systems. These tools should be used as a part of uniform concept of voltage control. The proposed concept is involved.

Christovão, Monclar Nogueira January 2020 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The increasing consumption of electricity, the high costs and the environmental restrictions made it paramount the efficient use of such energy, as well as actions and programs to promote energy conservation. Several agro-industrial companies in Brazil produce their own animal feed by mashing cereals and grains with the use of electric-motor machines, which are many times oversized and operate at expensive fee times (peak time). This activity is responsible for great part of the electricity consumption and directly impacts the production costs. This study developed a mathematical model of electricity billing for a laying poultry farm that opted for the green fee modality. This model uses mathematical equations containing the electric variables required for the calculation of the electric bill. The main electrical parameters are: the power and the load factors, the power demand, and the active consumption. Currently in Brazil, there are two fee modalities for Group A consumers: the green and the blue hourly fees. The proposed mathematical model can be used for both modalities, and there are specific equations for each of them, which should be entered into the software Mathematica developed by Wolfram Research. The manager of the poultry farm provided 12 electric bills, and their data was entered into the software that created three-dimensional surface graphs and contour maps. Such graphs showed the inversely proportional relation of the bill amounts with the power and load fac... (Complete abstract click electronic access below) / Mestre

Castro Júnior, Wanderley Araújo de January 2020 (has links)
Abstract: This paper presents an evaluation of the aspects of the installation of photovoltaic distributed generation systems in consumer units subjected to reactive charging in Brazil. The assessment of possible technical and financial impacts is carried out on the basis of applicable legislation and regulations. Measurement modes are addressed, the tariff system applied to the unit studied, a comparison is made with other types of consumer units with distributed generation (DG). Operating projections are carried out under defined conditions, using the equation defined by current legislation and standards. A case study is also performed in a real consumer unit. As a result we present graphs that illustrate the behavior of the photovoltaic generation curve, demanded consumption, measured consumption, as well as the behavior of the power factor in units with installed photovoltaic distributed generation system. This makes it possible to measure any positive and negative points of the installation of DG in this type of consumer unit. In the case study are also presented in table form the values and percentages of economy of the unit, comparing with the period without distributed photovoltaic generation. Finally, the possible impacts on return on investment time, negative contributions on the electric power quality of the electric system are evaluated and proposals of solutions to solve or mitigate the problems are presented. / Mestre
