This work deals with the operational management of production in the selected section of the company. In the theoretical part explains the concepts of Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, Productivity and related terms. Introduction The practical part of the thesis describes the production program production system and the organization of the production process in a selected section of the company. The next section is an analysis of workplace policy and pre-assembly lines. Followed by an analysis of work and identifying current shortcomings. The next section are designed to improve a specific solution of identified problems. The last part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of implemented improvements and their benefits.

Snížení výrobního taktu na montážní lince / Reducing production cycle on the assembly line

The master’s thesis deals with the reduction of the production cycle at the assembly line of pumps in a particular company. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to introducing the company's history, products, and selected economic indicators. The following part is a theoretical analysis of types of assembly lines, their characteristics and methods for determining the consumption standards of time. The practical part analyzes time efficiency of a specific assembly line. The results of the analysis are presented in table and graphs based on three proposals that are designed to reduce the production cycle. The final part provides techno-economic overview and valuation of improvements designed according to the key indicators presented in the thesis.

The first part of thesis is focused on methods of work measurement, method improving quality eight disciplines problem solving and one of the many basic methods lean production 5S. The second part of thesis is introducing company, company's history, products and distribution drive units for rail vehicles. The following part is focused a distribution of production hall, description of workplaces and detailed description of assembly line. The practical part is focused on time frames of assembly operations and theirs compare before and after balancing of assembly line. The last part of the thesis deals evaluation of results balancing of assembly line with focus on productivity.

This master´s thesis focuses on possible rationalization of the testing operations the door drive units of the rail vehicles. The aim is to propose solutions to increase productivity and reduce operating costs. The first section briefly describes the history and basic principles of lean manufacturing. The following is the description of the assembly and testing of the door drive units including the analysis of the current state of testing workplaces. The following section identifies critical areas and reserves that could be used to increase productivity. In next chapters are proposed kinds of rationalization, their evaluations according to the cost of implementation and the possible achieved effects. Chosen variant is elaborated in more details. The last part deals with the economic evaluation and verification of the proposed method in conditions of the real production.

The impact of entrepreneurship on economic performance in Central and Eastern Europe

Entrepreneurship is viewed by scholars and policy makers as an important factor contributing to increased levels of economic performance. New businesses are conduits of innovation, connecting resources and ideas within the economy and fostering competition. Central and Eastern Europe is a special case regarding entrepreneurship, due to its communist legacy. The surge in entrepreneurial activities caused by the process of market liberalization ultimately affected economic development in the area. This thesis acknowledges the importance of studying entrepreneurship in Central and Eastern Europe, and aims to analyse the impact of new business formation on economic performance in the region. To do so, the thesis creates a comprehensive guide of theoretical frameworks linking entrepreneurship to measures of economic performance and applies them to the Central and Eastern European area. The thesis also develops an empirical study using regression analysis with regional Eurostat data, which shows that new business formation has a significant, positive impact on GDP levels in Central and Eastern Europe. This diploma thesis deals with diversity management in international company and in companies in financial field, and also deals with productivity and effectiveness of employees and work teams. The main goal of the thesis is to make suggestions and recommendations to change or improve access to diversity management in compa-nies. Recommendations are about age, gender and intercultural management and also about work-life balance. Important goal is also discover the influence of age and gender to productivity of employees and effectiveness of work teams. Research is divided into two parts. In the first section is quantitative questionnaire - there are applied exact methods (statistical analysis). The second part is qualitative research – there are applied methods of semistructured interviews (team leaders, experts of productivity, HR managers and also leaders). The last part of the thesis contains suggestions and recommendations for better using diversity management and for maximization of team productivity.

The thesis deals with the topic of implementation of machine translation (MT) in an SME with an emphasis on legal translation. The theoretical part brings together the existing research relevant for this topic, focusing in particular on the specifics of MT between Czech and English, the task of post-editing (PEMT), including the skills and competences required from post-editors, recommendations for, and experience with, MT implementation, MT evaluation, PEMT productivity and translator attitudes towards MT. In its empirical part, the thesis draws on a case study of MT implementation in a Czech language service provider (LSP), with a focus on selecting a suitable MT tool and incorporating it in the workflow. Furthermore, an experiment is performed with professional translators, aimed at measuring productivity of translation and post-editing in terms of the time spent in the respective tasks and analysing and comparing selected aspects of the output produced by the translators and post-editors participating in the experiment. The analytical model employed is an error-based human evaluation model. Lastly, a questionnaire is used to ascertain the experience of translators/post-editors with MT and their attitudes towards this technology. This thesis describes and followed evaluation of the effectiveness the payroll system in selected company. The theoretical part of the work process knowledge issues payroll system, including methods leading to evaluate the effectiveness of the payroll system. The practical part is a description of the selected company and its payroll system. In the analysis are processed indicators leading to evaluate the effectiveness of human capital, which are indicators of labor productivity. On the basis of the results arising from the analysis are applied at the end of the practical part includes suggestions that can lead to increased efficiency of human capital of the company.
