Finanční analýza podniků procházejících insolvenčním řízením v České republice / Financial analysis of companies undergoing insolvency proceedings in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with financial analysis of two chosen companies 5 years before decision on bankruptcy and two years after this decision. The thesis is splitted into two parts: theoretical part and practical part. Theoretical part deals with the definition of the issues of insolvency firstly from point of view of law, secondly from the accounting perspective. Further definition of financial analysis, evaluation of the use of financial ratios. The theoretical part also explains the IN bankruptcy model. The practical part concentrates on selection of two concrete companies and performing the financial analysis. A period of 7 years was chosen - 5 years before decision on bankruptcy and two years after this decision. Insolvency was solved by reorganization or bankruptcy. Practical part imply the IN bankruptcy model. At the end is a comparison of the results, which is then interpreted.

Empirická analýza efektivity trhu kurzových sázek / The Empirical Analysis of Efficiency of Wagering Market

Aim of this diploma thesis is to provide empirical tests of market efficiency of tennis wagering market. In large dataset, which consists of nearly 47 thousands matches and 225 thousands odds, I am searching for anomalies, which can prove market inefficiency. Potentially profitable and exploitable betting strategies are also examined. Main tools of empirical analysis are linear probability models and logit models. Favorit-longshot bias is present in my data, this finding is consistent with results of other empirical works (Lahvička, 2013; Cain, Law, Peel, 2000). Major contribution of this paper is confirmation of home-away bias, the issue, which was not tested in tennis matches so far. The same holds for chart-bias. I am not able to find profitable wagering rules based on out-of-sample predictions of my models. Simple betting rule, which consists of betting systematically on overwhelming favorites, is derived from historical odds. This strategy yields a profit 0,0094, but it's applicability is very limited.

Attefallshus : En studie om att miljöcertifiera ett attefallshus

På grund av den pågående globala uppvärmningen och den ökademedvetenheten om människans miljöpåverkan har intresset för attbygga hållbart skjutit i höjden, såväl hos stora byggföretag som hosprivatpersoner. Studien undersöker om det på ett enkelt sett går attkonstruera ett attefallshus som uppfyller kraven för passivhus,FEBY guld, och samtidigt gör det lönsamt i längden. Attefallshusetsom studien utgår ifrån är tänkt att användas som ett fritidshusoch huset är tänkt att sedan uppföras i verkligheten. Tre olikabyggnader kommer konstrueras och beräknas för att sedanjämföras. Hus A kommer konstrueras enligt minimikraven i PBLoch BBR, medan hus B utgår från samma stomme men som medhjälp av ökad isolering ska försöka uppnå FEBY guld. Det tredjehuset, hus C, konstrueras som ett mellanting mellan de tidigarehusen för att se hur lönsamheten förändras med ökadenergieffektivitet. De ökade byggkostnaderna jämfördes sedanmed den minskade energiförbrukningen för att se vilket alternativsom var mest lönsamt. Resultatet landade i att det inte var möjligtatt uppfylla de hårda krav som råder för att certifiera enligt FEBYguld med utgångspunkt i hus A. Val av uppvärmningssystem, elelement,och val av fönster och dess storlek gjorde det helt omöjligtatt uppnå den låga årsenergiförbrukning som krävs på 26 kWh/m2.Vid jämförelse mellan hus A och C blev den sistnämnda mestlönsam, med ca 32 000 kr marginal efter 50 år. Slutsatsen som kandras av studien är att det krävs ingående förändringar i enkonstruktion för att uppnå denna miljöcertifiering och för ett sålitet hus som ett attefallshus är det ännu svårare, tillsammans medatt energipriset påverkar lönsamheten i stor utsträckning. Det hadevarit intressant att i framtiden undersöka om det finns någonannan lämplig miljöcertifiering för små fritidshus somprivatpersoner kan ha att sträva mot. / Because of the ongoing global warming and the increasedawareness of the human impact on the climate, the interest inbuilding more sustainably has become enormous, among bigconstruction companies as well as civilians. This study examines ifthere are any easy ways to construct an attefallshouse that meet therequirements for passive house, according to FEBY gold, and at thesame time makes it profitable in the long run. The house used inthis study will be used as a holiday house and will hopefully bebuilt in real life, eventually. House A was constructed according tothe minimum requirements according to PBL and BBR, whilehouse B used the same frame but in addition there was addedmore insulation to meet the requirements in FEBY gold. The thirdhouse, house C, also used the same frame but was constructed tobecome a house in between the two others to see how theeconomical part would change with increased energymanagement. The higher building costs was then compared to thedecreased energy consumption to see which alternative thatwas most profitable. The result showed that it was not possible tomeet the requirements in FEBY gold if you used house A as astarting model. The choice of heating system, electrical elements,and the choice of windows and its size, made it impossible toachieve the extremely low energy consumption that was needed,26 kWh/m2. When house A and house C were compared it showedthat the last one was the most beneficial house purelyeconomically, it was approximately 32 000 SEK cheaper than houseA over 50 years.. The conclusion that can be drawn from this studyis that there will need to be big changes in a construction of ahouse to achieve this high passive house status. The small size ofthis attefallshouse and the chosen heating system for this realestate made it even harder. It would be interesting in the future tosee if there are other environmental certification that could be moreusable for small holiday houses that civilians could strive towards. / <p>2022-06-22</p>

This diploma thesis deals with the development of trade relations within the Central European area, with a particular focus on the Czech-Polish, Czech-Hungarian and Hungarian-Polish business cooperation. The first part is focused on the analysis of documents of cooperation (with particular emphasis on the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, Polityka, Rzeczpospolita, Wprost) and will dedicate a historical reflection of demonstrable commercial relations between the countries in the region. Emphasis will be placed into a period of the 20th and 21st centuries, will not remain unnoticed such phenomena, such as the transition from a centrally planned economy to a market economy, and the phenomenon of traditional Polish-Hungarian friendship that significantly, both in the past and currently exhibited not only in business cooperation. The second part will be focused on the analysis of daily practice, particularly through sociology and economics will focus on the analysis of the specific impact of inflation and taxes, or the issue of unemployment in these countries (CZ, PL, HU). The local church during the starting period in China, has established the scope of immigrant expansion, that was policy development of localization and globalization; due to the political changes, the local church developed to Hong Kong, Taiwan and the South East Asia. In the early stages of development in Taiwan, brought into a hundredfold increase in numbers so far has become the second largest Christian community in Taiwan. And the local church in Taiwan following the development model carried out in mainland China area previously, being one base of global development and expands to all continents. For the time being, there are about two hundred thousand believers on the earth and expands the territory of faith in the world actively. This paper begins from the core of faith, studying the faith and the practices of religion in the local church from the view of religious non-profitable organization. Leadership and Innovation : The relationship between leadership in a company and the company’s ability to be innovative

The purpose of this explanatory thesis is to study how leadership relates to innovation performance. The research findings aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of this relationship, and what actions management can take, in order to increase innovation performance. The thesis creates a model for the leadership stimulus influencing innovation performance. A survey was designed, based on the model, to assess the attitudes towards the studied parameters followed by the conclusive data processing, empirical findings, analysis, and conclusions. The stimulus used in the study was Visionary Leadership, Learning Organisation, Incentives and Resources spent on innovation.The originality and value that this paper adds, is to analyse the joint effects of different leadership dimensions with regards to innovation performance in one single study, and also make a compound correlation of these dimensions. The study validated the positive relationship between the compound leadership dimensions and innovation performance. Furthermore, the study shows that the strongest direct correlation was between visionary leadership and innovation performance as well as between learning organization and innovation performance. However, the research could not establish any clear relation either between incentives and innovation performance, nor resources spent on innovation, and innovation performance.
