Projektová metoda na 1.stupni základní školy / Project method at primary school

The diploma thesis: "Project method at primary school" deals with the development of new knowledge and skills through the project method, analysis of the quality of its use and possibilities of its application in practice. The work discusses how teachers work on projects with new information, how they develop new knowledge and skills of their students when using the project method. Furthermore it brings author's own project the purpose of which was to allow students to invent new knowledge on their own. The project method at the first school can be carried out by either short-term or long-term projects. Effectivity and quality of teaching is influenced by versatile development of personality of each student. Results of the questionnaire survey proves that the teachers are trying to ensure students enough opportunities for development of key competencies. They strive to put students in the working mood and try to build rich information background. Teachers knowingly consider these aspects however they are not convinced whether it is sufficient for the students. Results of student questionnaire captures how students perceive the work with new information acquired during the project. Goal of the thesis is a detail description of the project methodology within the Telecommunication Company and pointing out the differences between current existing methodology and methodology standards. The thesis is not just simple description of the project methodology but addition to that it tries to (in given time & material framework) design new solutions for the project process optimalization. The aim of the proposed solutions is to increase competitiveness of the company on the market in current dynamic environment. Thesis has two main parts, theoretical and practical one. Theoretic part deals with general project methodologies and compares theirs main features and characteristics. One of the chapters is also describing Six Sigma process methodology, that will play a major role in the practical part of the thesis. In practical part, first of all I am introducing the company Vodafone Czech republic which allowed me the creation of the diploma thesis. Following chapter is focused on existing project methodology, project life-cycle and tools that the company uses in day-to-day practice. Next chapter deals with the detail analysis of the project process and by using of real samples of the company projects I try to find the optimalization of the project process in order to speed up the time to market and thus provide faster reaction to the market conditions and needs. Final chapter provides a summary and conclusion of the work done. Benefits of the diploma thesis should be following: 1)Detail mapping of the project methodology in mobile operator environment 2)Analysis of the current existing project process and project lifecycle 3)Possibility to get greater knowledge about the work of the Project management office 4)Design a possible solution that would help to increase competitiveness on the market

The diploma paper comprises basic data about regional policy of the European Union and about implementation of this policy in the Czech Republic. The thesis carries on with the system of operational programmes in the Czech Republic, gives insight into regional operational programmes and analyses the state of finances drawing. Last part focuses on project preparing for getting a subsidy from structural funds, especially on feasibility study and project application.

The theoretical section introduces terms project and project-based learning. It describes the realization of a project, its advantages and difficulties. It explores extensively the educational theme A human and His World, technology education and technological literacy. The end of the theoretical section deals with the term technological sight and also the characteristics of six selected technological sights in the Pilsen region. The practical section of the thesis involves a field research of technological sights, planning field trips, possibility to join a field trip to a selected project for primary school pupils and in the end also creating worksheets for field trips.

This thesis will deal with mapping the current state of project management in TOTAL CZECH REPUBLIC Ltd., which is part of a multinational group called Total, which operates in more than 130 countries. TOTAL CZECH REPUBLIC Ltd. creates many projects, both independently of its international subsidiaries, as well as with their mutual cooperation. A partial goal of this thesis is with the help of specific project management methodology, to analyse the selected progress of the project and subsequently design optimization. Practical work will be concerned with analysis and comparison of the current state of project management at a selected project applying the procedures of the PRINCE2 methodology. Based on this analysis, proposed solutions will arise from the methodology to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of project management.

The thesis contains ten projects; six of them were put into practice. The first part of the thesis includes theoretical knowledge derived from specialized literature. The theoretical part describes the topics of project teaching, activation teaching methods and technical and ecological education. The second part of the thesis depicts particular projects from the practical point of view. Photographical documentation and reflection from the projects, which were taught, form a part of the practical section of the thesis.

This diploma thesis deals with the matter of protection of feral animals against trafficing. The theme is composed for use at primary school within the framework of project teaching. The work is divided into theoretical and practical section, according to the content. The matter of CITES is expressed in the theoretical part, also the educational activities in the zoological gardens are described in this part (including the educational offer of the Zoo Ohrada) and last but not least the basic concepts for didactical aspect of the thesis are defined. The practical part includes a questionnaire studying the pupils´ attitude to animals generally; evaluation of educational activities offered by the zoological garden Ohrada (included evaluation of the commute); and the project itself. The outcome of the thesis is to check the service ability of the project in practise.
