This diploma thesis presents theoretical and practical materials for primary school art teachers. It deals with the theme of ?Insects? and how it can be taught to pupils from the third to fifth class of primary school. The theoretical part examines the biological, didactic as well as artistic aspects of the topic. The last chapter concentrates on the project method in art education. The theoretical part is followed by a concrete art series consisting of six art activities described in detail. The work is completed with a rich picture appendix, including a CD with motivational PowerPoint presentations.

The aim of the thesis is the project of the process layout of the Motocentre in Ledenice. The project of the premises is elaborated in two versions from which one is chosen and finished to the documentation stage ready for releasing the building licence. Special attention is paid to the equipment, size of the areas needed and special demands during the manipulation with the vehicles in order to keep standard requirements and good accessibility. The construction is designed for a concrete lot in the village of Ledenice which is defined for industrial production by the territorial plan. In the thesis, are introduced all important requirements which are necessary to follow during designing; requirements for project documentation of the construction and individual acts preceding the works.

The aim of this thesis is to determine whether it is possible to develop pupils' independence by way of the project method, which is based on my own practical experience. The thesis is divided into two main parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part summarizes and evaluates the knowledge gained by studying the available literature on the topic of pupils' independence and the theme of project method. The conclusion of the theoretical part summarises the bases for the development of the self- reliance via project method. The practical part analyses my previous teaching experiences, like the use of project method in terms of pupils' independence and this analysis is followed up with the practical research, based on a new project which is focused on the development of the pupils' independence in the activating teaching methods that have not been used yet. The part of the appendix includes final pieces of pupils' works from some of the projects described in the practical part, pupils' mind maps from their projects and photo documentation of the newly realised project, which was aimed at developing pupils' independence. The diploma thesis "Medieval City - project-based learning at primary school" deals with the issue of the development of knowledge of pupils through project-based learning. The theoretical section is divided into two parts. In the first one, the principles and procedure of creating the project are defined, the link between project-based learning and cross-curricular subject Environmental Education being described. The second part focuses on the history of a medieval city. It explores particular aspects of the origin and development of the city during the Middle Ages, providing a summary of the knowledge that is passed on to pupils through the project instruction. The practical part of the thesis describes the preparation and realization of the "Medieval City" project. The aims are to bring pupils to understand life in a medieval town, its construction and development, so that they can understand its construction structure and location in the landscape, looking at a contemporary city from the perspective of its historical development. At the same time, they deepen their interest in the history of the place they live in and build a relationship to the cultural and historical heritage. The topic of the thesis focuses on the implementation and optimization of project methodology in the IT company. Introductory part of the thesis analyzes two project methodologies using some specific criteria and their suitability of application in the IT company. Next part consists of several analysis of current state project methodology in the IT company. The analysis was based on SWOT, CMMI and survey methods. Its outputs are used for the main part of the thesis afterwards. This segment consists from new design concept and the various part of the new project methodology in the IT company. Finally the thesis verifies proposed principles in practice on a pilot project, which brings recommendations for following implementation.

This diploma thesis focuses at first on COBIT and CMMI for Development methodics from a software project management support point of view. Based on those methodics is a current state of processes and software support analysis performed in unmentioned real IT company and list of necessary changes is created. This thesis also contains overview of chosen open-source tools supporting project management and describes benefits of using them in combination. Crucial part is about implementation of those selected tools, changes performed in processes and in current tailor made application. Before and after changes is process maturity state assigned based on used methodics. At the end is described verification of achieved results based on pilot operation of updated processes, and new or updated software tools for its support.

This thesis focuses on strategy of Government of the Czech Republic called Smart Administration and its implementation. Its goals are improving quality and satisfaction of citizens with public services, particularly using information technology. The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the system of governance. Whole life cycle of the strategy is being analyzed. The practical part of the thesis starts with assessment of the aimed goals and its success indicators. Then the governance system is being analyzed, how the projects are being chosen for realization and what role official authority offices play in this process. The outcome from the analysis helps to design an organizational structure of project office, like the shared center of services. The strategy is also being evaluated using measurable success indicators. There's one real project examined and its goals are compared to the strategy goals to see the compliance and integrity with the strategy. There is also a survey conducted among the project holders with an aim to get to know, how the real projects are being governed, how successful they are, and to see the opinion of the project holders on the existing governance and possible changes. The thesis provides comprehensive overview of problems of the strategy with an accent to missing project management principles.

This thesis deals with the practical use of project methodologies in real business. Basic concepts of methodology, project management, project cycle and project roles are defined in the theoretical section as well as two concrete project methodologies. The practical part are these theoretical aspects bridged into practice and daily business on examples of specific projects. Afterwards their real use in practice is evaluated and compared.

The aim of the work is create and describe solution of automation and visualization of project boards in the specific manufacturing company. Methods and tools of Business Intelligence are used in this process. Project board is arranged summary of information, which is part of the monitor, in this context. There is for example information about produced pieces, the cost of poor quality, project Scorecard, downtime analyses, bottleneck of project, and so on. The theoretical part is dealing with description methods and components of Business Intelligence and serves to explanation basic principles on the basis of which are formed data staging area, data warehouse, OLAP cubes and dashboards. The main emphasis is on the practical part, in which is detail describe process of data elaboration from source data, which are taken primarily from MS Excel files, till data visualization in the form of dashboard. As software workspace were selected Microsoft products, specifically SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio and Excel which has been mentioned before. The main output is solution that will gradually fully replace paper project boards. This solution also brings both financial and time savings in the creation and managing project boards, because this process is automated.

The diploma thesis deals with the subject of project management of a web presentation in a B2B sector. Main emphasis is given on a definition of a theoretical framework - description and determination of the different stages of the project preparation. In addition to the design process, the discussed topics are - factors affecting business success and effectiveness of the proposed solution, especially usability, credibility and conviction. The theoretical part also focuses on a testing scheme of information architecture, wire-frames as well as testing the final design. The theoretical framework is subsequently used in the second part, which deals with designing a website for a company operating within the B2B market.
