Ready Mixed Concrete Industry Competitive Analysis

Huang, Mei-Ping 23 July 2012 (has links)
ABSTRACT Recent years the reducing number of public works projects has been a very serious situation. We had 380 billion and 360 billion projects in 2009 and 2010, in 2011 we only got 180 billion by the big amount of shrinkage of up to as much as 200 billion. In addition, more un-sold houses has been gradually increasing, which makes the relative reduction of the use in concrete can be expected, not even mention the follow-up addition works will be inevitably shrinking. The reduced Shipments plus the up-price of gravel, cement, oil, tires, etc, our industry is forced to raise a lot of the cost. The current situation is extremely unfavorable to the business. The requirements of concrete is being able to reach required strength after 28 days of compressive strength in order to satisfy suppliers and construction companies, in any case the price of course is the first consideration, so the ready-mix concrete companies have price competition in order to get orders, which will cause the poor quality and the shortage of quantity. And this is temporary means of the operation, eventually we will be out of the market by running the business in this way. In the future, I hope to seek the best business strategy through competitive analysis, but also reduce operating costs. As long as we streamline the organization and transformation of the management model, we should be able to get through the crisis, and enhance the industrial competitiveness. Eventually the undesirable industry will be naturally eliminated and the market will back on track.

Avant-garde nu och då : ett föränderligt koncept?

Howells, Annie January 2017 (has links)
The Golden Avant-Garde: Idolatry, Commercialism, and Art.

Ottemo Källström, Frida January 2006 (has links)

Examining K-6 Teachers' Stages of Concerns Related to Implementation of i-Ready

McKinley, Cristy 01 January 2019 (has links)
Low reading proficiency rates have been observed throughout the United States including a rural school in southwestern New York State. Although the Outstanding School District (pseudonym) purchased i-Ready, an adaptive diagnostic and instructional program, only 35% of students in Grades 3 through 8 demonstrated proficiency in reading in 2018. The problem is that i-Ready has not been implemented as intended. The purpose of this case study was to investigate teachers' concerns related to implementation and use of i-Ready. The guiding research questions examined the teacher's most common concerns and challenges faced during implementation. The Concerns-Based Adoption Model served as the theoretical framework, specifically using the Stages of Concern dimension to discover feelings and perceptions of teachers. Purposeful, criterion-based sampling methods were applied resulting in 8 teachers being selected. Quantitative data were collected using the Stages of Concern Questionnaire. Analysis included converting raw scores to percentile scores, plotting each, and visually representing the findings. The results will provide information needed to make decisions about the use of the program, the challenges encountered in implementation, if professional development is needed, or if the program should be discontinued. Data analysis indicates concerns primarily in the “self” category indicative of limited use of i-Ready and challenges during implementation include limited time and information necessary about how to effectively use the program. The implications for social change include the potential of adding to existing literature on effective innovation implementation and further developing the knowledge base on effective reading interventions, which will lead to enhanced academic success and the ability of students to become productive members in their communities and societies.

The Rate of Intramuscular Tissue Temperature Reduction Between Wetted Ice with Elastic Wrap and Game Ready®

Anderson, Courtney Rae January 2020 (has links)
In recent years, the Game Ready® unit has become a popular cryotherapy modality to treat musculoskeletal injuries. The purpose of this study was to determine which cryotherapy method, wetted ice bag with elastic wrap or Game Ready®, decreases triceps surae intramuscular tissue temperature the most during a 30-minute treatment. The independent variables were the cryotherapy modalities (Game Ready® and wetted ice with elastic wrap) and time (baseline, 10, 20, and 30 minutes). Twenty patients participated in this study. Wetted ice with elastic wrap decreased tissue temperatures significantly greater than Game Ready® at 20 minutes (P = 0.03), and 30 minutes (P = 0.02). Since wetted ice with elastic wrap produced a greater and faster decline in intramuscular tissue temperature compared to Game Ready® on medium pressure, this cryotherapy modality should be utilized in the immediate care phase of the injury repair process.
