Černohlávková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
The thesis aims to explore and describe the relationships between scientific results and research projects, both in general and in three given sources: the National Repository of Grey Literature (NUSL) in the Czech Republic, the Czech Research, Development and Innovation Information System (IS VaVaI) and OpenAIRE. The theoretical part presents relationships between results and projects in the field of research information in the Czech Republic and the EU, as well as the Levels of Conceptual Interoperability Model (LCIM) and its application to the relationships between results and projects. Furthermore, the thesis examines the analyzed resources in terms of acquisition, technical processing and interoperability of links between results and projects. The research part quantifies the presence of these links in the given sources, examines the multiplicity of the links to projects, and a possible dependence of the occurrence and quantity of these links on language and type of the research results.

Lay training at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation

Katoneene, Jonah 11 1900 (has links)
This study describes and analyses lay training programmes at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation (MEF) with emphasis on: Women's Training; Conference, Research and Development; and Youth Leadership. Mindolo is seen as an expression of the church's presence in society and a symbol of hope, peace and reconciliation. Lay training programmes at Mindolo aim at equipping Christians to act as 'leaven', salt and 'light' in society. The values and morals of the African people could be the basis of such teaching. The study discusses how the term 'laity' has negative implications such as regarding the laity as non-competent or specialist because they are not priests or theologians. It illustrates that although the majority of Christians are women, leadership in the church is dominated by men. The study illustrates how critical it is for Mindolo to evaluate its original vision in light of current challenges and promises. / Christian Spirituality, Church History and Missiology / MA (Religious Studies)

The resignification of the action research by NACE School of the Future - USP: analysis of the main projects regarding Media and Information Literacies (MIL)

Vetritti, Fabiana Grieco Cabral de Mello 07 April 2017 (has links)
This study was developed in the scope of New Applied Communication Technologies for Education Research Laboratory (NACE School of the Future - USP) and aims to identify over 28 years of history the contribution of action research projects to the acquisition of competences and skills (Media and Information Literacy - MIL) by the participants, mainly teachers and students, enabling the protagonism of these actors in the learning processes. For this, the Methodological Model of Communication Research proposed by Maria Immacolata Vassallo de Lopes and an ethnographic approach was established. The methodological procedures adopted were bibliographic research, participant observation, documentary survey, mapping of action research projects, semistructured in-depth interviews and data analysis. It is considered that this is one of the possible approaches to evaluate community intervention projects, adding to the traditional metrics of performance evaluation a set of new criteria.

It examines which strategies managers used to overcome these problems in the case of the Brazilian Oil and Gas company Petrobras. By conducting an inductive case study it develops a contextual model based on the use of grounded theory. It argues that the most important categories were to overcome problems of (a) the interpersonal relationship, (b) power shifting inside the organization, and (c) making people more valuable to the organization and shows how managers tackled these challenges. It contributes with a deep analysis of HRM challenges in Open Innovation that is important for a better understanding of management problems that can come along with Open Innovation processes.

The forest of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München

Müller-Starck, Gerhard, Friedrich, Stefan, Knoke, Thomas 03 June 2019 (has links)
In this study, the historical peculiarities and the site conditions of the forest of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, München, Germany, are surveyed. Results from an extended forest inventory, which includes students' contributions, are summarized. Guidelines for current and future forest management are also discussed. The university forest supply manifold opportunities for teaching and training. In addition, they can be utilized efficiently for corresponding research projects. These forests bridge the gap between academic educational targets and actual practice. Interdisciplinary issues, research networking and links to the job market are significant requirements as well. Direct ownership by the respective university or by any other educational institution helps substantially to realize objectives in teaching and research. In the case of extemal ownership, long-lasting contracts and flexible management regulations, which grant scientific and educational liberties, are essential.

Open Source in Higher Education: A Situational Analysis of the Open Journal Systems Software Project

Quint-Rapoport, Mia 01 March 2011 (has links)
This research study looks at digital academic space, which is defined here as web-based digitally mediated artifacts produced by universities and their members. Open source software projects and the Open Access movement play large roles within digital academic space, not only because of their strong historical academic roots, but also because these projects are growing in prevalence in many universities. Framed by theories from the field of higher education and media studies, this research study is an analysis of the dynamics and effects of one open source software project that produces Open Access electronic journals. The software system, called the Open Journal Systems (OJS), originally developed by an education professor from a Canadian university, has been adopted by thousands of universities world- wide to publish electronic peer reviewed academic journals. OJS users distributed at universities throughout the world have contributed software code back to the system, by for example, creating translation modules enabling users to publish journals in a range of languages thus adding an interesting global dimension to the project. Based on interviews with the OJS software developers, administrators, and users, as well as a range of material culled from online, this situational analysis of the OJS sketches out the conditions, dynamics, discourses and professional identities that form the basis of an emerging phenomenon within universities that is named here the digitally mediated open research project (DMORP
