Genom en serie om åtta urbana interventioner i full skala, syftar projektet till att diskutera konflikter i det offentliga rummet och hur maktstrukturer manifesteras i rumslig fördelning. Parallellt undersöker projektet också arkitektrollens möjligheter att, som oberoende aktör, stimulera dialog om samhällsutvecklingen med fokus på staden och våra gemensamma rum. Att testa, analysera och interagera har kombinerats i fullskaliga experiment där reaktioner från förbipasserande och deltagare inkluderats. Det övergripande projektet utgår från grundfrågan om rätten till staden, men studerar olika platser, konflikter och kommunikationsstrategier för att testa metodens spännvidd och potential. / Through a series of eight full scale urban interventions, this project aims to discuss conflicts and power relations and how they become manifest through spatial distribution, within the public spaces of Stockholm. Testing, analyzing, participating and debating are combined into 1:1 experiments, which invite and include responses from the public. The projects study different sites, conflicts and means of communication in order to test the range and potential of the method.

Här erbjuds närhet till både historia, kultur och natur.Hotellet för skapandeverksamhet är lika mycket en mötesplats för Mariefredsbor som det är en tillflyktsort för konstnärer. Den lekfulla träbyggnaden inrymmer två former av långtidsboende för människor som ägnar sig åt skapandeverksamhet, generösa ateljéer och arbetslokaler, en publik del med restaurant, bar och takterrass. Hit kommer målare för att utnyttja ateljélokalerna, författare som söker lugn och koncentration samt, under sommaren, turister som får ta del av utställningar av konsten som producerats på hotellet.Projektet undersöker planlösningen som verktyg för en effektiv och spännande rumsdisposition. Byggnadskropparnas placering i förhållande till varandra, mellanrummen som uppstår mellan byggnadskropparna samt placeringen och gestaltningen av kommunikationsytor är exempel på metoder som syftar till att skapa intressanta och funktionella rumsligheter. / Just at the outskirts of the traditional wooden town centre of Mariefred, the Hotel for Creativity is located. The location of the site in relation to the city, combined with the beautiful natural scenery, makes the site one of the most attractive places in the city.The Hotel for Creativity is equally a place for social interaction between locals as it is a refuge for artists. The playful wooden building houses two types of long term stay for people working with artistic creations, generous studio spaces, a public part with restaurant, bar and a roof terrace. The hotel attracts painters in need of studios, authors looking for peace and concentration as well as tourists who, during the summer, can appreciate exhibitions of the art produced at the hotel.The project examines the floor plan as a tool for creating an efficient and exciting disposition of rooms. The relative placement of house volumes, the spaces generated in between the buildings and the placement and design of communication areas are all examples of methods intending to create interesting and functional spaces.
