INTELLIGENT UAV SCOUTING FOR FIELD CONDITION MONITORINGSeyyedhasani, Hasan 01 January 2018 (has links)
Precision agriculture requires detailed and timely information about field condition. In less than the short flight time a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) can provide, an entire field can be scanned at the highest allowed altitude. The resulting NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) imagery can then be used to classify each point in the field using a FIS (Fuzzy Inference System). This identifies areas that are expected to be similar, but only closer inspection can quantify and diagnose crop properties. In the remaining flight time, the goal is to scout a set of representative points maximizing the quality of actionable information about the field condition. This quality is defined by two new metrics: the average sampling probability (ASP) and the total scouting luminance (TSL). In simulations, the scouting flight plan created using a GA (Genetic Algorithm) significantly outperformed plans created by grid sampling or human experts, obtaining over 99% ASP while improving TSL by an average of 285%.

Možnosti etické výchovy ve skautském prostředí / The possibilities of ethical education in the scouting environmentFOLDYNOVÁ, Judita January 2019 (has links)
The work deals with the possibilities of ethical education in the Scout environment. First, it describes the Scout idea, such as the Scouting principles, Scout values, law, promise and ethical education. It also deals with the origin and development of Scouting in our country and in the world and its main representatives. Furthermore, it describes particular Scout activities that take place not only within small groups but also in very large ones, not only in local communities but also in the world. There are meetings of peers but also of all generations. Several life stories from the totalitarian regime demonstrate courage and loyalty to the Scout promise. Using interviews and questionnaires, a picture of how members perceive the Scouting is made - what they value, what they learnt, whether it helps them to cope with difficulties. Last but not least, a chance to criticize contemporary Scout affairs is given. Overall, Scouting offers many opportunities how to influence both individuals and the society in ethical matters and how to make the world a little better. It enables upbringing for true humanity, helps us to fight against consumerism and individualism.

Scoutförskola : En förskola med scoutprofil / Scout preschool : a preschool with Scout profileTruedsson, Christina January 2011 (has links)
Due to the interest of starting a preschool with a scout profile in my circle of acquaintances I chose to write my report about how the scout method would work in a preschool. I did this by comparing the origin of scouting and preschool. I based my report on the following questions: Are there any similarities or differences with curriculum, education act and the scout method that can make it easier/harder to work with the scout method in the preschool? There are many theorists that have had influence on the preschool. Give some examples of their theories that could affect the scout preschool? What is the difference between a teacher and a scout leader? What would a preschool look like if you included the scout method in the daily activity? With the help of my literature studies I compared the scout method against the laws and rules to make sure that the scout method doesn’t contradict them. The result I came to is that you can work by the scout method in a preschool.I base this on that the education act is a law, the curriculum is a guideline and the scout method is the basic principles. This means that you can have the scout method as the basic principles of a preschool.

Krize maskulinity mezi chimérou a stereotypem. Gender a česká společnost na přelomu 19. a 20. století / Crisis of masculinity between chimaera and stereotype. Gender and Czech society on the turn of 19th and 20th centuryMareš, Jan January 2012 (has links)
1 Abstract This paper asks, whether a crisis of masculinity can be found in Czech political movements and communities at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. We analyze the development of gender orders between 1870 and 1910. There the imagination of separated spheres created an asymmetric gender order, yet partial shifts were evident. The ideals of masculinity and feminity were influenced through nationalism, which led to an emotionalization of masculinity by the beginning of the 20th century. The integration into the national body enabled the feminity to take positive use of the prevailing stereotypes. A change came after 1900, when the idea of degeneration appeared, attacking the contemporary form of masculinity denotating it as false. It follows a case study of the emergence of the Czech scouting. The establishment of scouting in Britain and America is today interpreted as a reaction to the crisis of masculinity, which makes it a good starting point for observing the crisis in another culture. The crisis manifested itself indirectly, on an abstract level, as a criticism of the state of the culture. Some of the scout founders considered this an opportunity, to set up a new culture by colonizing the nature (a feminine attribute). There were presuppositions for a feeling of crisis in the Czech...

Outdoor Education Also a way to work with Group Development? : Scouting and School in SwedenNilsson, Mickaela January 2007 (has links)
<p>I will present some voices from the fields of scouting as well as from outdoor focused schools and tell about their feelings for outdoor education and how they think it can be useful to help children develop a sense of belonging in a group. With a hermeneutic perspective on research I have aimed to show that there is a difference in how teachers and scout leaders look upon the effective use of outdoor education and how they use it both as an instrument for learning and as a tool for group development. I have been looking upon the questions with a holistic point of view and with progressive thoughts of education on my mind.</p><p>I visited and participated in three school groups and three scout groups during some hours. The children were in the year span of 3 – 11 years. I interviewed the four teachers that works with outdoor education in different forms and five leaders active in three different scout groups/scout organisations. My pre knowledge and my preconceived notions has been my platform in this research. This research is a bit to small to prove anything but I state that my research show that there is benefits to gain from using the outdoors in a higher degree in learning situations. Also group development through leadership could give large benefits in Swedish schools if there is a conscious awareness about cooperative learning and leadership skills.</p>

Výchova mládeže a německé mládežnické organizace skautského typu v českých zemích / Outdoor education ane German scout-type youth organizations in the Czech landsJelínek, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
"Outdoor Education" and German Scout-Type Youth Organizations in the Czech Lands Title: "Outdoor Education" and German Scout-Type Youth Organizations in the Czech Lands Abstract: The thesis deals with the formation and history of German youth organizations in the Czech Lands. It especially covers those organizations that either directly referred to the Scout movement originating in the UK or US, or at least adopted the fundamental educational methods and principles of working with the youth which were typical for these movements. These organizations marked a revolutionary change in the approach to youth and their education. Such a change was possible thanks to a series of philosophical, pedagogical and political transformations in the society. Scout movements were especially built on the modern philosophical theories based on the ideas of American and German philosophers. However, the roots of this approach to nature and to human education can be traced to the early modern era, when the first modern approaches to teaching appeared and were generally applied under the changing economic and social environment of a modern society. In addition to philosophy, the movement was also influenced by a number of other social, political, ideological and cultural phenomena. The origins of these organizations can be seen...
