Bendová, Šárka January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the process of learning, knowledge management and the concept of learning organization as strategic directions in the field of education, learning and development of employees. The theoretical part describes knowledge management as an essential part of the management of a successfully functioning and continuously developing organization, which is exposed to increasing pressure of competition, demanding clients and economic burden. In this case the setting of corporate culture towards the learning organization is equally important. Since the organization set up in this direction has created a suitable environment for the effective development of knowledge, skills and experience, not only in the classical form of lifelong learning, which is given in case of the general nurses by legislation, but above all the creation, development and transfer of knowledge between individuals and the team is emphasized. In the practical part, first the selected organization is analyzed including analysis of fulfilling the criteria of the learning organization followed by the qualitative research devoted in the first stage to mapping the system of education and development of the employees in the organization and in the second phase to finding the attitudes of the nurses within a...

Foreign research suggests that social support has crucial effect on amount of perceived stress, coping and quality of provided health care. Lack of support can also contribute to the development of psychosomatic diseases like headache, back pain and others. Main attention will be paid to the influence of social support on depersonalization (emotional hardness, apathy towards the patient), job satisfaction and intensive care nurses subjectively experienced health condition. Basic concepts, terms, constructs and variables will be defined in the theoretical part of this thesis. Current scientific findings about effects of social support on work and various aspects of intensive care nurses' lives will be summarized. Diagnostic methods and test used by author of this thesis will be also described. Potřeby osob se zdravotním postižením a jejich blízkých v době hospitalizace / Needs of persons with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation

Andersová, Věra January 2015 (has links)
Experience of patients with disabilities and their close persons during hospitalisation demonstrates insufficient understanding to the needs of such people. This issue is also discussed in foreign literature, wherein the need to establish the position of a specialized worker who knows very well the conditions of the health care facility and the needs of people with disabilities is emphasized. The objective of this thesis is to point out the complex issue of the needs of people with learning disability and their close persons during hospitalisation. Hospitalisation itself is a difficult and demanding situation in any person's life. For persons with learning disability, this situation is even more serious. The thesis aims at describing the experience of persons with learning disability so that it may serve as the basis for improving their health care.

Ošetřovatelská péče u pacientů s cévním onemocněním / Nursing Care for Patients with Vascular Disease

Šestáková, Anežka January 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with diseased peripheral blood vessels, namely thrombosis of veins affecting limbs and the pelvic area and acute arterial blockages in extremities. In addition to data concerning these illnesses, the thesis also presents the treatment of these patients and treatment of those patients who are given anti-coagulants either preventatively or as part of treatment. The empirical portion includes quantitative research through an anonymous survey instrument. The respondents were nurses who worked in internal, surgery, or general units of intensive care in university and regional hospitals. The goal of the research was to determine whether nurses are aware of the general areas of non-coronary blood-vessel issues and of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with warfarin and heparin, and whether the nurses were aware of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with non-coronary arterial blockages. We discovered that nurses were most aware of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with warfarin and heparin. On the other hand, the nurses had almost no awareness of the idiosyncrasies of treatment of patients with non-coronary arterial blockages. Exactly half of the respondents were aware of the general areas of non-coronary blood-vessel issues. The conclusion of the thesis...

Introduction: Quality of life is a long-term goal in nursing care. Nursing care in improving the quality of life should focus not only on physical aspects, but especially on support to return to everyday life, managing daily activities, at least to the extent that the patient has been able to handle them before staying at hospital. Quality of life was assessed before hospitalization and 3 months after discharging from the ICU. We have chosen SOFA, APACHE scoring systems to obtain data. The quality of life before hospitalization was evaluated by SF-36 and ADL, IADL questionnaires for daily activities. In the ICU dismission, the patients completed HADS (anxiety, depression), MAF (fatigue) questionnaires, 6-minute walk and sit / stand test. After the third month of convalescence, patients completed questionnaires: SF-36, IADL, ADL, HADS, MAF and 6. minute walk and sit / stand test. Results: 38 patients were evaluated. This thesis is aimed at aggressive and violent behaviour of patients towards general nurses. Theoretical part of this thesis contains chapters which are dealing with direct aggression, its' causes and also with possible defences, preventive elements and principles, which are necessary to be used in contact and communication with conflicting patient. Because this research is focused on general nurses, one chapter is also dedicated to this profession and its' difficulties. The practical part was realized by means of quantitative research. Created questionnaire was placed on the webpage of České Budějovice hospital where it could be filled by nurses for a period of one month. Data obtained from respondents were subsequently processed into tables and graphs and statistically evaluated. The aim of this thesis was to map the problem of violence and aggression of patients towards general nurses in their profession at České Budějovice Hospital a. s., to describe the problematics of patient aggression in healthcare and through method to find out the experience of general nurses with aggressive behaviour of their patients. According to this research, 95 % of respondents encountered aggressive behaviour of the patient during the last year. 94,5 % of respondents encountered aggressive behaviour of verbal character and 70 % with aggressive behaviour of physical character. Problematika používání osobních ochranných pracovních prostředků v ošetřovatelské praxi / Usage of personal protective equipment in nursing practice

KULAJEC, Lilija January 2019 (has links)
Current situation: Nurses' health can be endangered by various influences. One of the possibilities of prevention is personal protective equipment (PPE) which provides effective protection against infectious agents and other risk factors, both for the nurse and the patient. The aim of the thesis was to find out the nurses' awareness of PPE and its use. Find out which PPE nurses use and evaluate whether they use it properly. Methods: The research was carried out using a qualitative method, a technique of non-standardized in-depth interviews and observation. 16 nurses attended the interviews and were observed during 112 nursing activities. Qualitative research was supplemented by an interview with the institutional epidemiologist and a nurse from the department of epidemiology. Results: Nurses use PPE to protect their health and are well-aware of the risks. They realize that it also protects the patient. Nurses commonly use gloves, face masks and protective aprons. When choosing proper PPE, they base their choice primarily on the standard of nursing care, legislation, the nature of the activity performed, the specifics of the department, the risks involved or the type and method of transmission of the respective disease. At workplaces there are a sufficient number of several types of PPE and nurses have the opportunity to educate themselves on the issue. However, there are some obstacles to the correct use of PPE. These obstacles include: lack of information, lack of staffing, pressure on performance and time stress. During the observation the most frequent errors were found in the use of gloves and taking off PPE. Recommendations for practice: The introduction of comprehensive training on individual PPE, increased checks by managers, regular updating of standard nursing procedures, sufficient staffing and sufficient spare protective equipment at the department may contribute to increasing the level of use of PPE.
