A qualitative approach to the existence of random periodic solutions

Uda, Kenneth O. January 2015 (has links)
In this thesis, we study the existence of random periodic solutions of random dynamical systems (RDS) by geometric and topological approach. We employed an extension of ergodic theory to random setting to prove that a random invariant set with some kind of dissipative structure, can be expressed as union of random periodic curves. We extensively characterize the dissipative structure by random invariant measures and Lyapunov exponents. For stochastic flows induced by stochastic differential equations (SDEs), we studied the dissipative structure by two point motion of the SDE and prove the existence exponential stable random periodic solutions.

Vakeroudis, Stavros 06 April 2011 (has links) (PDF)

[pt] LEIS LIMITE PARA SISTEMAS DINAMICOS COM ALGUMA HIPERBOLICIDADE / [en] LIMIT LAWS FOR DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS WITH SOME HYPERBOLICITY

ANSELMO DE SOUZA PONTES JUNIOR 08 August 2024 (has links)
[en] The study of statistical properties of dynamical systems has been an active research area in recent decades. Its main goal is to investigate when certain deterministic chaotic systems exhibit stochastic behavior when examined through the lens of a relevant invariant measure. Some of the key tools employed in deriving such results are the spectral properties of the transfer operator. However, certain skew product systems, including random and mixed random-quasiperiodic linear cocycles, do not fit this approach. Very recent works have obtained limit laws for these systems by studying the Markov Operator. The purpose of this dissertation is to explain how these operators can be used to derive limit laws, such as Large Deviations Estimates and Central Limit Theorem, for certain skew-product dynamical systems.

[pt] CICLOS HETERODIMENSIONAIS DE CO- ÍNDICE DOIS E BLENDERS SIMBÓLICOS / [en] HETERODIMENSIONAL CYCLES OF CO-INDEX TWO AND SYMBOLIC BLENDERS

23 December 2021 (has links)
[en] In the first part of the thesis, we consider diffeomorphisms having heterodimensional cycles associated with a pair of saddles P and Q of co-index two. We prove that diffeomorphisms with cycles, which have at least one pair of non-real central eigenvalues, generate robust heterodimensional cycles. Moreover, when both central eigenvalues are non-real, the robust cycles are associated with the continuation of the initial saddles (i.e. the cycle can be stabilized). In the second part of this work we study skew product maps over Bernoulli shifts with contracting fibers and Holder dependence on the base points. We prove that systems satisfying the covering property exhibit symbolic blenders. These blenders are generalizations of the usual blenders whose main property is that their central direction may have any dimension d greater than or equal to 1.
