A study of the relationship among organizational buyer's satisfaction, loyalty and purchasing behavior in VOIP industry: an example of PChome&Skype in TaiwanHsiao, Chin 18 June 2009 (has links)
VOIP has become very popular since Skype software was released in 2003. Due to the convenience and lower cost brought by unique P2P technology, Skype enters people¡¦s lives quickly. Skype changes the way people communicate and the way people think about VOIP. In Taiwan, PChome Online Inc. launched Skype business by Co- Branding in 2004. People tend to accept Skype very easily. As individual users became more and more, organizational user noticed this and started to use Skype. In addition to Skype, there are other competitors in Taiwan market like Mackay, APOL, and SaveCom. Taiwan Government opened the 070 VOIP business in 2007, many companies were eager to join this market. It¡¦s predictable that the opening of 070 VOIP will change the whole industry and affect VOIP, Telecommunication and Fixed Network companies a lot.
This research chose VOIP as topic. First, this research analyzed the whole market and VOIP company¡¦s marketing strategy. Then this research used empirical analysis to study customer¡¦s satisfaction, loyalty and purchasing behavior in organizational buyer¡¦s view. The studies focusing on VOIP organizational buyer in Taiwan are rare, so this research reviewed literatures related customer¡¦s satisfaction and loyalty and design scale for VOIP organizational buyer. Finally, this research chose organizational buyers of leading service provider in this market, PChome & Skype and did a questionnaire survey.
The result showed that 60% of Skype business users are located in north of Taiwan. The companies from manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing industries accounted for the mainly. 80% of Skype business users are small companies with less than 100 employees. About customer¡¦s satisfaction, the most satisfying items are ¡§software interface, convenience and channel, and good image.¡¨ The least diverse items are ¡§good image, safe online purchasing and redeeming, and convenience and channel. ¡¨ About the loyalty, each question is between ¡§slightly agree¡¨ and ¡§agree.¡¨ According to the correlation analysis, customer¡¦s satisfaction is positive correlated to customer¡¦s loyalty.

Skype pokalbių idiolektinės ypatybės / Idiolect Features in Skype MessagesDolgova, Vitalija 02 June 2014 (has links)
Šiame darbe analizuojamos trijų autorių Skype žinučių idiolektinės ypatybės. Darbo tema aktuali, nes elektroninis bendravimas tampa vis populiaresnis, todėl įvairiakrypčiai elektroninio diskurso tyrimai padeda pažinti šios kalbos atmainos ypatybes, be to, Skype susirašinėjimai idiolekto aspektu Lietuvoje dar netyrinėti.
Šio darbo tikslas - remiantis tekstyno analize, nustatyti, kokios Skype žinučių kalbos ypatybės gali atskleisti autoriaus idiolekto požymių. Siekiant šio tikslo buvo iškelti tokie darbo uždaviniai: 1) surinkti atskirus, trijų autorių Skype žinučių tekstynus, kurių apimtis yra maždaug po 10 000 žodžių; 2) naudojantis specialia Antconc 3.2.4. programa ir programos Word komanda rasti, iš tekstynų sudaryti žodžių, skyrybos ženklų ir jausmaženklių dažnio sąrašus; 3) iš gautų žodžių, skyrybos ženklų ir jausmaženklių dažnio sąrašų rankiniu būdu atrinkti kalbos vienetus, tinkančius tolesnei analizei; 4) išanalizuoti bei aprašyti tyrimui atrinktų kalbos vienetų vartoseną ir apibendrinti, kokios Skype žinučių kalbos ypatybės gali reikšti autorių idiolekto požymius. Darbas atliekamas remiantis gretinamuoju, deskriptyviniu analitiniu, tekstynų lingvistikos, kiekybiniu ir kokybiniu tyrimo metodais.
Atlikus trijų autorių Skype žinučių leksikos ir grafikos tyrimą buvo patvirtinta darbo įvade keliama hipotezė, kad Skype susirašinėjimuose atsiskleidžia bendraujančiųjų idiolektai. Tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad daugiausia idiolekto požymių galima rasti analizuojant dažniausiai iš... The theme of study is relevant, because electronic communication is becoming more popular, so different directions studies of electronic discourse can help find out the features of this language technique, moreover, idiolectic aspect of Skype communication has not yet been researched in Lithuania.
The aim of this study is to determine with reference to corpus analysis which language features of Skype messages may reveal the author’s idiolectic signs. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: 1) to collect separately Skype text messages corpus of the three authors with a volume of approximately 10 000 words; 2) using special Antconc 3.2.4 program and command to find of Word program to create the frequency lists of words, punctuation and emoticons from corpus; 3) from received frequency lists of words, punctuation and emoticons manually to select language units, which are suitable for further analysis; 4) to analyze and describe the usage of selected for the study language units and summarize which language features of Skype messages can indicate author idiolect. Study is performed on the basis of comparative, descriptive analytical, corpus linguistics, quantitative and qualitative research methods.

High School of Online Cello Playing: A Quantitative Analysis of Online Music Instruction via Video Conferencing ApplicationJanuary 2019 (has links)
abstract: Video conferencing applications, such as Skype, have long been used in classroom settings. Although musicians have been conducting online lessons for years, and institutions such as the Berklee School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music offer online music classes, scholarly research concerning online video conferencing music lessons is limited. Most studies of video conferencing lessons are based on subjective answers, making it difficult to yield conclusive results. As such, the only basis to evaluate the efficacy of video conferencing lessons are those from opinions. This study offers quantitative research on online video conferencing lessons. Between September and December 2017, 22 cello students from Muscatine High School received weekly private online lessons. Students filled out surveys using a Likert scale to rate these lessons and how they felt video and audio quality affected them. Students also received in-person lessons during October 23 or 24 to compare this experience to online lessons. The responses collected throughout the semester were compiled and sorted to reveal data trends. Using information derived from the data, this study concludes that online video conferencing lessons were less productive than in-person lessons but were still effective. In addition, average lesson ratings improved significantly after meeting in-person. Abstract
¡§Human Needs Drive Technology.¡¨ Since internet comes into action, it brings dramatic changes in human culture. Internet technology does not change only the way of communication or how the business activity moves, but it also creates a whole new life model. Especially after the rising of instant messaging software, the real-time communication model is formed. Many studies on instant messaging focuses on the pros and cons of the software itself and the benefits it has generated. Besides, their study groups are more focused on people with specific roles, such as sales, marketing staff, or students. The results obtained often do not cover the aspects on people with multi-roles.
This study report takes EMBA students as the object of study, mainly because they carry the characteristics of both a student and a business man, whose behavior may lead us to see the general value that the instant messaging can generate. The study focuses on the behavior and motivation of EMBA students using instant messaging software, and it further discusses the changes that the instant messaging can bring at their study and their jobs.
9 EMBA students are chosen to conduct the case study, interviewed face-to-face and via instant messaging. The study finds that the instant messaging software have brought very positive benefits for EMBA students in their jobs, school work, and even in their interaction with their family.

Analýza voice over IP protokolů / Analysis of voice over IP protocolsBoháček, Milan January 2012 (has links)
In the presented work we focus on both implementation and protocol of the voice over IP application Skype. We analyse several versions of Skype clients and deduce inner workings of the Skype protocol. We present details about the cryptographic primitives used by the Skype clients and their impact on the security of the communication. We emphasize several places of suspicious leaks of the internal states of random generators and deduce rules for the detection of the Skype traffic on the firewall. In the end, we mention a simple enhancement of the current Skype clients that, in practice, can detect an ongoing eavesdropping.

Dagens informationssamhälle, erbjuder nya sätt att interagera, att etablera relationer och att bibehålla kontakten mellan människor.Teknologi och terapi blir ett sätt att upprätthålla en terapeutisk relation med hjälp av Skype som informationsteknologiskt hjälpmedel. Syftet med studien är att undersöka psykoterapeuters upplevelser avden terapeutiska relationen inom psykodynamisk psykoterapi via videokommunikation. Frågeställningarna fokuserar på terapeuternas användning av de psykodynamiska teorierna, beskrivning av den terapeutiska relationen samt hur den terapeutiska alliansen byggs vid videokommunikation. Studien hade en kvalitativ forskningsansats med en hermeneutisk metod. Sex terapeuter som bedrev terapi på Skype harintervjuats. Resultaten visar att terapeuterna upplevde att det fanns en distans i relationen som kunde användas positivt för att utreda något djupare i terapin. Terapierna blev mer ordrika då överföringaroch motöverföringar inte kunde identifieras lika lätt som vid ett fysiskt möte. Den terapeutiska alliansen upplevdes skörare på Skype. Slutsatser av studien var att bedriva en psykodynamisk psykoterapi på Skype behövde terapeuterna anpassa teorin till teknologin. Distansen irelationen användes som ett hjälpmedel för att terapin skulle utvecklas till en insiktsterapi men kunde även verka till att försvaren förstärktes. / Today's information society, is offering new ways to interact, to establish relationships and maintain contact between people.Technology and therapy is a way to maintain a therapeutic relationship with the help of Skype as an information technology tools. The purpose of the study is to examine psychotherapist’s experiences of the therapeutic relationship in psychodynamic psychotherapy via videocommunication. Research questions focuses on the psychotherapists' use of psychodynamic theories, the description of the therapeutic relationship and how the therapeutic alliance is being built in videocommunications. The study was a qualitative research approach with a hermeneutic method. Six therapists who pursued therapy via Skype were interviewed. The results show that therapists felt that there was a distance in the relationship which could be used positively to investigate deeper into the therapy. The therapies became wordier as transferense and countertrancferences could not be identified as easily as in a physical meeting. The therapeutic alliance felt more fragile on Skype. Discussions from the study shows in order to pursue a psychodynamic psychotherapy on Skype the therapists needed to adapt the theory to the technology. The distance in the relationship was used as a means of therapy to be developed into insight therapy but could also seem to strengthen the defenses.

Previous issue date: 2009 / A telefonia convencional é uma tecnologia que permite que pessoas possam, através da fala, se comunicar à distância. Esta tecnologia é basicamente composta pela rede de telefonia pública (PSTN) e por diversos equipamentos, dentre eles o telefone. Com a popularização da Internet, vislumbrou-se a capacidade de utilizar esta rede para efetuar chamadas telefônicas, de maneira semelhante ao sistema de telefonia convencional. A partir de então foi desenvolvida a tecnologia de voz sobre IP (VoIP), que adota um conjunto de técnicas e protocolos permitindo que a voz humana possa se propagar através de uma rede de comutação de dados, como a Internet. Esta tecnologia apresenta diversas vantagens, como a redução dos custos, flexibilidade e o desenvolvimento e agregação de novos serviços. Dentre estes novos serviços, este trabalho foca os serviços de conferência e de convergência entre redes. O serviço de conferência é a capacidade de estabelecer uma chamada entre três ou mais pessoas simultaneamente. O serviço de convergência entre redes é a capacidade de se efetuar uma chamada entre um computador conectado à Internet e um telefone que se encontre na PSTN ou vice-versa. No entanto, por dependerem da Internet, estes serviços estão sujeitos a uma baixa qualidade da voz, devido à variabilidade das condições de rede. Sob este contexto, este trabalho propõe uma metodologia para analisar o comportamento e o desempenho destes serviços, quando submetidas a condições variadas da rede. A partir de um ambiente controlado de rede, foram simulados diversos cenários de utilização destes serviços e configurados diferentes valores para os parâmetros críticos, como o número de participantes, capacidade do enlace, atraso, perda de pacotes e variação do atraso (jitter).
