Sujeto liberal y patologías sociales / Sujeto liberal y patologías sociales

Pereira, Gustavo 09 April 2018 (has links)
Liberal Subject and Social Pathologies”. This work presents thelimits of the idealization of the liberal subject. Its distinctive characteristics, which make this subject one that is scarcely vulnerable to circumstances and assume the possibility to evaluate ends and preferences, limit the awareness of phenomena of colonization of the world of life. Only by modifying such idealizationthrough deep self-reflection shall these colonizing phenomena be overcome. On the other hand, this new type of subject shall be able to participate in the relevance of personal behaviour as regards consumerism and the applicability of principles of justice.

Based on the analytical and interpretative method of the Sociology of Knowledge of Karl Mannheim, the present work defends as central hypothesis that, in the specifically Brazilian case of the 21st century, the neo-Pentecostal evangelical churches present a greater competitive power and adaptive flexibilization to the deep and radical socio-cultural transformations Unleashed by the radicalization of modernization processes in times of contemporary globalization of capitalism. Acting on human subjectivities (in the "ego"), by giving them exactly what they lack as competitive agents: the motivational force of faith for social action as a successful entrepreneurial "business man", as well as for strength of mind To be virtuous and victorious in increasingly competitive markets, due above all to the radical sense of the idea of conversion present in Neo-Pentecostal evangelical communities. The power and power of the sense of the Pauline notion of present conversion among NeoPentecostals offer their believers a set of utilitarian and pragmatic responses to human beings who are immersed and submerged in the narcissistic and hypercompetitive societies of the "ego." It is the power to be born again, to wish to be another, by giving the converted faithful the expectations of developing self-confidence in self. Therefore, these are forms of religiosities interested in contributing to the happiness of the individual in this world, and no longer in an outer world beyond. And, for this very reason, it is a form of desacralized religiosity. Paradoxically, however, if the Neo-Pentecostal evangelical communities point to the presence of evil (through the personification of the devil's figure) in the very social relations that have been degenerated by the excessive individualism of contemporary modern societies (from anxiety, substantial emptiness of the "I" , Discouragement, addictions, use of psychotropic medications and psychostimulants, assumption of self-blame for failure, feelings of impotence as well as being able and efficient enough to fulfill their duties, divorce, union homoafetivas and homosexuality, depression and etc.) It not only makes a diagnosis of the social reality centered on the perversity of the figures of atheists, agnostics, homosexuals, divorcers, prostitutes, addicts, etc., but as they also have a therapeutic effect: that of denying one's own Modernity, through the annulment and non-recognition of the process of expansion of new demands for rights. Building, carrying, a potentially immunizing and conservative religious identity.

Problematika osob bez domova / Problem of homelessnes

Konopásková, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis Problem of homelessness Supervisor: MUDr. Jiřina Ondrušová Author: Bc. Veronika Konopásková Year of submission: 2013 Annotation The topic of the thesis is the problem of homelessness in contemporary Czech society. Specifically, it focuses on the concept of homelessness, its forms, history and presence in the Czech Republic. Further, I describe the lifestyle of homeless people, their health (physical and mental) and the problem of alcoholism among the homeless. I deal with homeless people as crime offenders and victims as well. Some of the practical problems of living as homeless are mentioned (loss of personal documents, the issue of homeless foreigners or the dependence on social services). The example of the Prague branch of civic organisation Naděje illustrates the range of social services for the homeless. Another part of the thesis is a case study of five homeless people. Further, I focus theoretically on public attitudes towards homelessness, including conducting a search of surveys published on this topic. An important part of the thesis is carrying out a quantitative survey on public attitudes towards homelessness. After describing the objectives, methodology and implementation of the survey, an extensive statistical analysis of data from 595 respondents follows along with...

Monfared, Leila 09 1900 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the study of distortions of communications between the vulnerable children served by the Imam Ali Society and its staff. These communications were studied by looking at three dimensions of the experiences of those children, namely, the psychosocial dimension (paths and stories of the children placed in foster homes), the community dimension (family and close social groups) and the social one. It was carried out by employing Habermas's theory of communicative action (1987) while taking into account the ethico-political structure of the Iranian society. For this purpose, we also introduced concepts of vulnerability and violence in order to objectify communication distortions in the case of vulnerable children. The problem was approached as an ethical conundrum in the children and staff interactions regarding the following questions: in which direction is the communications between the children and the staff in the Imam Ali Society Shelter taking place? Are they more in the direction of constraint or rather in the direction of cooperation? The methodology of this research is part of a logico-pragmatic approach based on argumentation. It is based on certain theoretical contributions of natural logic (Grize, 1996) and the discourse ethics theory (Habermas, 1987-2013). According to our results, there is a zone of violence and increased vulnerability, source of which is mostly routed in Islam. This research also leads us to identify a zone of vulnerability, where the vulnerable are exposed to both visible and silent violence from social structures, making their condition more and more vulnerable and precarious. In addition, the children's lives are colonized by a communication directed towards a "non-dialogue" in the social space rather than one dedicated to their protection. The study indicates that communications established in the shelter of the Imam Ali Society are based on Islamic ethics, leading thereby to paths representing processes of religious recognition and socialization. This research identified the existence of a strong religious constraint i.e., silent violence. For this reason, these spheres of life do not fulfill the preconditions for realization of a Habermassian ethical discourse theory. Our work demonstrates a cycle of silent violence embedded in the Iran's social structures, disrupting communication in the context of vulnerable children. The consequence is the emergence of deformation processes that lead to communication distortions. This research paved the way for a new line of research on communication distortions revealing new pathogenic aspects of a constraint exerted by a politico-administrative power.

Podzimková, Marie January 2016 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the socio-educational work methods of the probation and mediation services and of its workers in relation to their clients with imposed probation supervision and on the opportunities for development and support of their healthy social functioning. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part initially are defined the basic concepts and terms, then it is described the target group of conditionally released from prison clients, which currently are under supervision of a probation officer. The thesis sees the imprisonment as a difficult life situation and it deals with the influence of penitentiary environment on the personality of the convict in relation to his further development. In the second part are described the specific activities of the probation and mediation service workers in relation to clients from the target group. The thesis focuses on the socio-educational work of the probation officers, as well as social workers or other organizations for social prevention and their impact on the social stabilization of individuals, belonging to the target group. Here the concept of social stabilization is concretized and related to individual areas, which should be implemented within the probationary period. The practical part shows...
