The purpose of this study was to explore the processes of hope in informal caregivers of palliative patients. Interviews were conducted with caregivers who were living with and currently providing care to a palliative patient at home. Saturation was reached with 10 caregivers, five females and five males, from 2 cities in Saskatchewan, Canada. <p>The design of this qualitative study was Glasers (2001) grounded theory. Broad, unstructured face to face audio taped interviews were conducted in the participants homes. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using constant-comparative method of analysis in order to identify the main concern of the participants related to hope, and the basic social processes used to resolve that concern. <p>Eroding hope was the main concern relating to hope during caregiving for a palliative patient. Eroding hope was a result of bad days, negative messages, and experiences with the health care system. The participants deal with eroding hope by using the basic social process of hanging on to hope. Hanging on to hope has 4 sub-processes: a)doing what you have to do, b)living in the moment, c)staying positive, and d)writing your own story. The support of friends, family, and health care professionals and connecting with something bigger and stronger were sub-processes of hanging on to hope that together directly affect the other sub-processes.<p>The findings of this study have direct application for the care and support of informal caregivers providing palliative care at home, as a basis for assessment and interventions that will assist caregivers to hang on to hope. Nurses and other health care professionals need to recognize and value the experience of hope for caregivers by addressing, teaching, and reinforcing the sub-processes and ways of hanging on to hope into their practice.

Complex rehabilitative care for pre-school children undergoing c urative stays is the care of which the main task is to promote the health of a child as a whole or, if impaired, to bring it back to normal. A child sanatorium is a health care facility providing long-term preventive care for child patients through its complex therapeutic and rehabilitative methods during the child{\crq}s entire curative stay. It strives for reaching the optimum health condition of a child and for the elimination of possible fallouts. Curative stays are recommended by pediatricians. Generally, curative stays are designed for children between 3 and 15 years of age. They are covered by all health insurance companies. The aim of the thesis was to find out the current possibilities of the use of curative stay offers in the Czech Republic and how the offer of such stays is used, specifically in the mountainous climatic conditions. Also, the work aimed at the factors leading to the fact that some children use the curative stays repeatedly. In order to gather the necessary data to define the aim of the thesis, the method of questionnaire was used and the technique of written questionnaire was used to collect the data. The research used parents and other relatives of the pre-school children who at least once participated in the curative stay together with their child or children. The research was conducted at the Child Sanatorium of Javorník in Šumava during the months of January and February 2007. The hypothesis based on the presumption that the opportunity to use the offer of curative stays for pre-school children is influenced mostly by socio-economic factors was not confirmed. It has been detected that the physicians play an important role in this field. The second hypothesis concerning the repetitive use of the curative stays offer as not being directly linked to the curative effect of the previous stays was also not confirmed because the reasons leading the guardian escort to the decision to send the child or children for a repetitive curative stay are directly linked to the fact that the recently undergone stay has helped the health condition of their child or children.

The topic of my diploma thesis is Health insurance and reimbursement for nursing services and rehabilitation care provided in social services facilities. I chose this topic not only because social services and related fields are currently very topical but also because I wanted to find out what changed whit regard to social services facilities with the arrival of the possibility of funding nursing and rehabilitation care. I wanted to explore opinions of people who work in this field and encounter such issues on a daily basis. Since the possibility of reimbursement for nursing and rehabilitation care has been in the Czech Republic for a relatively short period of time, I assumed that the collection of data would bring new insight into the matter. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with social services and subjects that establish and provide social services. Furthermore, I also discuss the main aims of social services. Next chapter deals with the funding of social services and the factors that help improve the quality of social services. This is followed by the description of nursing and rehabilitation care in residential care facilities. This part focuses closely on the new legal regulation and the types of residential care facilities and also analyses the term competence for the performance of health profession. The practical part of the thesis contains the results of my research work. It describes the methodology (in order to achieve the goal established and to confirm, or reject the hypotheses, I did a questionnaire-based survey and performed the secondary analysis of data). The group studied included all facilities that met the following condition: they had to be residential social services facilities located in the South Bohemian Region. The aim of my work was to find out whether the change in the legal regulation helped improve the funding of nursing and rehabilitation care in residential care facilities. It follows from my research that the possibility of reimbursing for rehabilitation and nursing care from public health insurance means more resources for a social services facility. Furthermore, the obligation to charge a particular health insurer a fee for health care implies more administrative work for the facility. I conclusion, the hypotheses suggested were confirmed and the goal of the work was achieved. My diploma thesis can serve as a full-range source of information for the facilities providing social services. It can also become a useful study material for other students.

O objeto do presente trabalho cinge-se à investigação da contraposição da prescrição intercorrente com a responsabilidade tributária, duas temáticas completamente distintas uma da outra e que, por si só e isoladamente, despertam importantes discussões no campo do Direito Tributário. Jungidas, então, representam enorme problemática, amplificada em razão da negligência de nossos legisladores, da insuficiente manifestação doutrinária e, com o devido respeito, da generalidade de alguns precedentes jurisprudenciais, incapazes de alcançar a singularidade de cada uma das situações possíveis. Em meio ao caos da cobrança judicial dos créditos tributários, uma das crescentes e atuais preocupações diz respeito à demora com que as execuções fiscais são movimentadas (quer seja em razão da ineficiência das Fazendas Públicas, quer seja em razão da má-fé de alguns contribuintes/devedores, quer seja em razão da morosidade imputável exclusivamente aos mecanismos inerentes ao Poder Judiciário) e sua influência na fulminação do direito creditório das Fazendas Públicas em decorrência do reconhecimento da prescrição, mais precisamente da prescrição intercorrente, aquela que se percebe no curso do processo judicial e atualmente não se duvida de sua aplicação. Perquiriu-se, então, como esta espécie de prescrição se aplicaria aos responsáveis tributários, analisando-se a questão, sob o ponto de vista das espécies de responsabilização tributária, se solidária ou subsidiária, ou ainda, de suas principais e mais problemáticas subespécies, sendo tais, aquela dos terceiros, dos sucessores ou daquela decorrente de dissolução irregular da sociedade. Além disso, e, obrigatoriamente, foram analisadas questões intrínsecas ao assunto, tais como, a validade da aplicação de regras suspensivas e interruptivas do prazo prescricional e a definição do dies a quo da contagem prescricional para cada espécie de responsabilidade tributária. Enfim, discutiu-se a melhor forma de aplicação da prescrição intercorrente em casos de redirecionamento da cobrança judicial de dívidas tributárias por responsabilização, verificando-se, dentre outras coisas, sobre a melhor utilização de protestos interruptivos, ou ainda, sobre a obrigatoriedade da deflagração de hipóteses de incidência de responsabilidade tributária, as quais captassem os respectivos fatos geradores de responsabilização, mecanismo este eficientemente utilizado em ordenamentos jurídicos alienígenas, mas que, contudo, nos remete à verificação da decadência, previamente à prescrição e/ou à prescrição intercorrente. / The purpose of this work is restrained to the investigation of the antithesis between the interim statute of limitations and tax liability, two themes completely distinct from each other, and which, per se and on an individually basis, give rise to important discussions in the Tax Law field. However, when united, they reflect an enormous debate, which is amplified in reason of our lawmakers negligence, the lack of doctrinal pronouncement thereon, and, with the due respect, the generality of some case law precedents, incapable of reaching the singularity of each of the possible situations. In the middle of the tax credit court enforcement chaos, one of the growing and current concerns refer to the delay by which tax collections are transited (whether in reason of the inefficiency of Public Treasury Departments, for the bad faith of some taxpayers / debtors, or in reason of the slowness solely imputable to the mechanisms inherent to the Judicial Branch) and their influence on the fulmination of the Public Treasury Departments right to credit as a consequence of the acknowledgement of the statute of limitations, more precisely the interim statute of limitations, which is that realized in the course of the legal proceeding, and the application of which cannot be currently doubted. Then, it has been scrutinized how such sort of statute of limitations would be applicable to taxpayers, by analyzing the issue under the point of view of the taxpaying types, whether a co-liability or subsidiary liability, or even of the subspecies thereof, such as that of third parties, successors, or that arising out of the companys irregular dissolution. In addition to that, and, compulsorily, intrinsic matters to the subject have been analyzed, such as the proper application of staying and interrupting rules for the statute of limitations, and the determination of the dies a quo for counting the lapse of time for each type of tax liability. All in all, the best way to apply the interim statute of limitations to cases of redirecting the court collection of tax debts for liability was discussed, ascertaining, among others, the best use for interrupting objections, or even the obligation to deflagrate hypotheses for the tax liability, which would catch the respective tax liability triggering events, which mechanism is efficiently used in foreign legal systems, but which, however, lead us to ascertain the lapse of right, before the statute of limitations and/or the interim statute of limitations.

Die Thematik beschränkt sich auf das Ende, wie auf den Anfang des Kirchenjahres, genauer gesagt auf den 2. Advent. Das Thema der Parusie Jesu ist nicht unbedingt ein Hauptthema in der Predigtarbeit. Aber die Parusie Jesu ist das Hauptziel des Glaubens der Christen. Durch diese Arbeit soll der Predigtarbeit, sowie dem Thema der Parusie Jesu mehr Beachtung geschenkt werden. In dieser Arbeit wird die DDR Sozial- und Kirchengeschichte mit den Kurzbiographien der Prediger vorgestellt. Diese sind zum Teil Hintergrundinformation für die Predigtanalysen. Die Arbeit widmet sich einer Predigtanalyse zum biblischen Hintergrund und zum historischen Hintergrund der DDR, um den Stellenwert der Parusie Jesu in den Predigten zu erforschen. My diploma thesis is focused on specific topic called "How to be influenced by nature in a learning process - let the nature teach ourselves". In the first part of the thesis there are mentioned the first attempts trying to connect nature into the educational system and the history of this principle applied abroad and in our country. The main research is interested in activities undertaken in countryside during pre-school and school teaching as well as children's leisure time. The empirical part is casuistry capturing the main image of newly established school Zeměkvítek showing the way how children's learning and perceiving is affected by being in the nature during school and pre-school teaching. The results of the practical part shows that lessons in an outdoor environment contribute positively on development of children's learning. On the bases of SWOT analysis it can be stated that there is high possibility that ZŠ Zeměkvítek will develop and gain more members.

This master thesis is inspired by St. Pierre’s post qualitative inquiry and the philosophy of immanence, which support the creation of concepts through immersion in theory, philosophy, and practice. This serves as a guide of thought for the inquirer´s journey of exploration and creativity. This research departures in Latour´s concept of the Terrestrial, enriched by Haraway´s addition to the concept; and in Haraway´s theory of string figures, which is the foundation for exploring how to enact the change that is needed to survive in a world of climate destruction and business as usual. Haraway says that not all humans observe the Terrestrial from above (as Latour suggests) and invites us to go out there and find the people that never took off. For this purpose, I went to Costa Rica and had non-structured conversations with six Costa Rican leaders, who have been working for and with social and environmental causes for years. This inquiry aims to get a deeper understanding of how these stories, combined with the concept of the Terrestrial and SF theory, may help us create new concepts and develop a philosophy of Terrestrial Leadership. From a magic island to banana women, these stories tell us about how these leaders have gone through constant metamorphic processes of inner development, the discovery of their response-ability, the enactment of collaborations, and the politics of staying with the trouble in a chaotic world; in the Chthulucene. Finally, with the help of storytelling, I attempt to offer a first ontological and epistemological perspective on the concept of Terrestrial leadership and how we might benefit from it.
