Využití EEG ve vyhodnocování emocionálních stavů člověka / The use of EEG in assessing the emotional state of a person

Strakoš, Libor January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is focused on EEG processing and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotion space. First part consists of theoretical research about emotional responses of human subjects on sound, image and video stimuli. Emotions are examined from aspect of physiology and psychology. Furthermore technical overview of measurement, analysis and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotional space is discussed. Based on gathered knowledge measurement setup with audiovisual stimuli was designed and measured with two independent instruments – EGI GES400MR in laboratory conditions and Emotiv EPOC device in non-laboratory conditions. Signals were processed and emotions were classified based on chosen features. Performance of classifiers in multiple feature selection setups was evaluated.

Regulace lipolýzy a re-esterifikace v bílé tukové tkáni - možná role FGF21 / Regulation of lipolysis and re-esterification in white adipose tissue - possible role of FGF21

Špiláková, Blanka January 2019 (has links)
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a unique peptide hormone involved in the energy homeosta- sis, as well as in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. Numerous animal studies suggest that FGF21 may be used as a potential treatment for obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. It was found out, that FGF21 counteracts the development of obesity presumably by increasing energy expenditure through activation of thermogenesis in brown and white adipose tissue. FGF21 apparently also inhibits lipolysis. However, the specific mechanism of action of FGF21 is not clear. In our experiments we studied the antiobesogenic effects of FGF21 on mice model of diet-induced obesity at thermoneutrality. It is assumed that this model approach (in contrast to housing mice at standard laboratory temperature) mimics closely the metabolic status of humans. During the 4- to 8-day FGF21 treatment we observed a gradual reduction of lipid content in the brown and white adipose tissue and liver, especially in combination with β3-adrenergic stimulation. We have confirmed that FGF21 inhib- its lipolysis and also stimulates browning in certain adipose tissue depots. Furthermore, we have found that the effect of FGF21 on fatty acid secretion by adipose tissue is not mediated by changes in the fatty acid re-esterification...

Změny centrální reaktibility v průběhu termické stimulace monitorované pomocí elektromagnetické tomografie (sLORETA) / Changes in central reactibility during thermal stimulation monitored by electromagnetic tomography (sLORETA)

Richtrová, Eva January 2020 (has links)
Title: Changes in central reactivity during thermal stimulation monitored by electromagnetic tomography (sLORETA) Objectives: The objective of this thesis is to determine whether there are any changes in central reactivity during local thermal stimulation by heat and cold and to compare the effect of analgesic electrical stimulation by TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) applied after single thermal stimuli. The brain activity was scanned from the scalp EEG and the results were evaluated by using sLORETA program. Methods: Twelve young, healthy people over the age of 21 participated in this study. The requirement for the participation in this experiment was good health condition without any neurological or other diagnoses. The electrical activity of the brain was being recorded throughout the whole experiment using a 32-channel EEG cap. The measurement had multiple parts. During the whole experiment, the participants were lying on the therapeutic table and all stimuli were applied locally to the right hand. Firstly, the EEG was recorded while participants were resting with closed eyes for five minutes. Then we realized a measurement of a two-minute long application of electrical stimulation of TENS in above-threshold sensitive intensity, which was individual for each participant. The...
