[pt] Nesta dissertação são apresentados dois modelos de estoque
aplicados ao sistema de controle de estoques (Q, R), que
envolve a definição do tamanho de lote a ser encomendado a
cada vez e a ocasião de encomendar. Esses modelos têm
como objetivo a minimização do custo total anual formado
pelo custo de encomendar, de manter e de falta de estoque.
Os modelos são testados na sua forma completa e com
aproximações sugeridas por diversos autores e, em seguida,
os resultados são comparados. Além disso, é desenvolvida
uma formulação que busca simplificar a identificação dos
casos reais que podem utilizar as aproximações sugeridas
para estes modelos. Um dos modelos é utilizado para
definir níveis ótimos de estoque de derivados de petróleo
em uma refinaria da Petrobras e os resultados são
comparados com níveis de estoque praticados hoje
pela empresa. / [en] This dissertation presents two inventory models applied to
the continuous review, order-point, order-quantity (Q, R),
that define a fixed quantity to be ordered and the occasion
to order. The objective is to minimize the total annual
cost comprised by setup, backorder/stockout and holding
costs. First, these models are tested with their complete
formulation and compared with approximations proposed by
many authors. Second, it is developed a formulation
to facilitate the identification of real cases where
approximation is recommended. Finally one of these models
is applied to define optimum inventory levels of oil
products in a Petrobras` refinery and results are compared
with the level of inventory the company now holds.

sobressalentes para manutenção. Mostra-se que a gestão
eficiente deste tipo de

prejuízos, uma vez que os
seus custos são altos, mas sua falta pode gerar grandes
perdas. Além da
perspectiva econômica, os estoques de sobressalentes podem
ter funções
estratégicas importantes. Em seguida são apresentados
desenvolvimentos recentes
sobre a gestão de estoque de sobressalentes para então
propor um modelo baseado
no sistema de controle (r, q) no qual o nível ótimo de
estoque é atingido dada uma
restrição no nível de serviço. Por fim, o modelo é
utilizado para estimar o nível

inventory control to companies with a special approach for
inventory control of
spare parts. It shows that an efficient control of this
kind of inventories can avoid
large financial losses, due the high stock carrying and
stock-out costs. Besides the
economic perspective, the inventory of spare parts can have
important strategic
functions. Next, the text presents the recent development
of spare parts´ inventory
control. Then it is proposed a model based on the (r, q)
control system, in which
the optimal stock level is achieved by a service level
restriction. Finally, the
model is used to estimate optimal stock levels of some
Landulpho Alves-Mataripe
Refinery´s spare parts.

Previous issue date: 2005 / Resumo: A concorrência cada vez mais acirrada, efeito principalmente ocasionado pela globalização, tem forçado as empresas a buscarem melhores práticas de atuação no mercado para garantirem a sobrevivência ao longo prazo. Por isso, neste trabalho procurou-se aplicar ferramentas para melhor gerenciamento do estoque de uma operadora logística situada na região de Campinas (SP) que presta serviço para uma grande multinacional também da região. Aplicouse técnicas de previsão de demanda na tentativa de compreender a demanda futura visando uma melhor programação da produção para a operadora logística. Devido ao fato de tratar-se de uma demanda altamente irregular, evidenciou-se que os métodos de previsão aplicados (Média Móvel, Suavização Exponencial Simples e Suavização Exponencial de Holt) não representam a melhor forma para gerenciar a produção e os estoques na empresa estudo de caso deste trabalho. Por isso, foi aplicada a metodologia de revisão contínua do estoque como forma de melhor gerenciar a produção para garantir a melhoria do nível de serviço prestado ao cliente. Foram estabelecidos os parâmetros de estoque de segurança, ponto de reposição do pedido, estoque máximo e quantidade a produzir de cada uma das dez embalagens reoperadas pela empresa que é o estudo de caso desse trabalho. Essa metodologia mostrou-se eficaz e parece gerar bons resultados / Abstract: As a result of the globalization process, the competition among the enterprises has increased so much, forcing them to search for best market practices to warranty their survival in the long term. The objective of this thesis was to apply tools to a better inventory management in a logistics operator, located in Campinas (SP), that serves a big company located in the same region. It was applied demand forecast techniques trying to understand the future demand aiming a better production programming to the logistics operator. But due to a very irregular demand of the system, it was showed that the forecast methods here applied had not helped to establish the best way to manage the case study company production and the inventory. Due to that, it was applied an inventory continuous review methodology to assure the improvement of the service level served to the client. It was established some parameters as safety inventory, reorder point, maximum inventory, and production quantity of each of the ten packages the logistics operator needs to reoperate. Previous issue date: 2017-12-22 / A presente dissertação foi desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado Profissional em Gestão e Avaliação da Educação (PPGP) do Centro de Políticas Públicas e Avaliação da Educação da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (CAEd/UFJF). Ela discutiu quais meios a Gerência da Merenda Escolar (GEDIME) utiliza para levantar o saldo da merenda escolar dos depósitos/estoque das escolas da Coordenadoria Distrital de Educação 4 (CDE4), da Secretaria de Estado de Educação e Qualidade do Ensino do Amazonas (SEDUC/AM), durante a operacionalização do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE). Essa preocupação baseia-se na determinação legal da Constituição Federal (CF) que estabelece atendimento aos alunos, durante todo o ano letivo, com fornecimento de alimentação escolar. A pesquisa teve como questão central: Quais os desafios da GEDIME para a otimização do controle do saldo de merenda das escolas estaduais da capital do Amazonas, em específico a CDE4? Como objetivo geral pretendeu compreender como a gestão de estoque dos suprimentos da merenda das escolas da CDE4 é realizada. Como objetivos específicos, buscou: a) descrever como acontece o processo de distribuição e controle da demanda de gêneros alimentícios na rede estadual de educação do estado do Amazonas; b) analisar as dificuldades encontradas no controle dos estoques de suprimentos da merenda escolar nos depósitos das escolas pesquisadas. O estudo, de abordagem qualitativa, utilizou como instrumentos metodológicos questionários para os gestores das escolas e entrevistas semiestruturadas com os demais atores envolvidos no processo. Os resultados apontaram a necessidade de planejamento estratégico para reduzir os gargalos logísticos, além de melhorias na qualidade dos alimentos de alta perecibilidade. Partindo dos dados produzidos pela investigação, propôs-se, ao final, uma ferramenta de gestão a ser utilizada pela SEDUC, ou seja, um Plano de Ação Educacional (PAE), composto por ações que buscam a melhoria das problemáticas evidenciadas. / The present master´s dissertation was developed under the scope of the Professional Master in Management and Evaluation of Education (PPGP) of the Center for Public Policies and Education Evaluation of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (CAEd / UFJF). It discussed the ways in which the School Meals Management (GEDIME) uses to raise the balance of school lunch of the stores from the schools that belong to District of Education Coordination 4 (CDE4), of the Secretariat of Education and Quality of Teaching for Amazonas State(SEDUC) / AM), during the implementation of the National School Meals Program (PNAE). This concern is based on the legal determination of the Federal Constitution (CF) that establishes the provision of school meals to all students, throughout the school year. The research had as central question: What are the challenges of GEDIME to optimize the control of the lunch balance of state schools in the capital of Amazonas, specifically CDE4? As a general objective, it wanted to understand how the supply stock management of school lunches from CDE4 is carried out. As specific objectives, it sought to: a) describe how the process of distribution and control of the demand of foodstuffs in the education network of the state of Amazonas happens; b) to analyze the difficulties found in the control of supplies of school meals of the researched schools. The qualitative study used as methodological tools questionnaires for school managers and semi-structured interviews with the other actors involved in the process. The results pointed out the need for strategic planning to reduce logistics bottlenecks, as well as improvement in the quality of foods that tendency to perish. Based on the data produced by the research, it is proposed, at the end, a management tool to be used by SEDUC, that is, an Educational Action Plan (PAE), composed of actions that seek to improve the issues highlighted.

Managing amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram in a North West public hospital : a supply chain analysis / Liezel van GeemsVan Geems, Liezel January 2014 (has links)
Professional nurses and their patients are directly influenced by insufficient medication, causing a decrease in the quality of care, delays in hospitalisation and it might lead to resistance. In some cases professional nurses have to leave the unit in search of medicine. Amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram for intravenous administration is prescribed to the majority of patients in the medical units in public South African hospitals. Yet there are intermitted insufficient stock levels and challenged inventory systems for amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram in some public hospitals. This fact is positioned against the background of a South African health system that has undergone major changes since the fall of Apartheid in 1994 and amidst major positive changes, is still challenged by overburdened hospital admissions and a quadruple disease burden.
The aim of this research was to enhance optimal levels of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram in medical units in public hospitals to ensure sufficient stock levels and timeous administration. The aim was achieved by identifying and describing the current supply chain of intravenous amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram in two medical units in a district (level 2) public hospital in the North West Province (from here referred only as North West) by identifying inefficiencies in the current supply chain and to formulate recommendations for management to enhance the supply chain of intravenous amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram to medical units in public hospitals.
An exploratory case study approach was followed to explain the supply chain of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram by utilising a qualitative, descriptive, explorative and contextual design. A case study approach was chosen as it examined single units within the context of real life as environment, which in this case were medical units in a level two public hospital, North West. The case selection was motivated and described, followed by case records of policies and standard operational procedures. Field participants included all levels of nurses (professional, enrolled and auxiliary) in medical male and female units on day and night duty, and the head of pharmacy [n=8]. Non-probable, purposive sampling was conducted according to inclusion criteria after all levels of ethical clearance and consent were granted. Three semi-structured individual interviews followed, after which two focus groups were conducted. Thematic analysis of transcriptions was done, followed by an analysis of case records regarding where after all results were integrated. Results indicated complex organisational, unit-specific and behavioural challenges that impact on the supply chain management of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram and insufficient stock levels are predominantly positioned within retailer and customer aspects of the supply chain. Despite
well-formulated standard operational procedures, the realisation thereof lacks, implicating a greater need for managerial control. Recommendations were formulated for management to enhance the supply chain of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid 1.2 gram in medical units in public South African hospitals integrated with good pharmacy practices.
