Stress inför examination : En kvantitativ studie bland högskolestudenter

Stress är ett vanligt förekommande problem som drabbar många individer. Bland studenter upplever ungefär en tredjedel stress. Stress kan uppstå i olika situationer och för studenter kan en sådan situation vara förberedelse inför examination. Syftet med studien är att undersöka stress i relation till examinationsformer samt att undersöka om det finns något samband mellan ålder och stress bland högskolestudenter. I denna kvantitativa studie har en tvärsnittsdesign tillämpats och data har samlats in med hjälp av enkäter. Populationen var studenter vid Mälardalens högskola och urvalet bestod av 101 respondenter. Resultatet visar att majoriteten av studenter upplever stress inför skriftlig examination och ungefär hälften av studenterna upplever stress inför muntlig examination. Resultatet påvisar även att hälften av studenterna upplever stress lång tid innan skriftlig examination och att ungefär en av sju studenter upplever stress lång tid innan muntlig examination. Det finns dessutom ett svagt samband mellan ålder och stress. / Stress is a common issue that affects many individuals. Among students, approximately one third experience stress. Stress can arise from different situations, and for students, one of those situations can be preparation for an examination. The aim of this study is to examine stress in relation to examination and to examine the correlation between age and stress among university students. In this quantitative study, a cross-sectional study design was applied and data was obtained using surveys. The study population existed of students at Mälardalen University and the sample existed of 101 respondents. The results reviled that the majority of students experience stress before a written examination, while approximately half of students experience stress before an oral examination. Furthermore, results reviled that half of the students experience stress long before a written examination, while one of seven students experience stress long before an oral examination. Also, there is a weak correlation between age and stress.

Hur uppfattar enhetschefer sin arbetsbelastning utifrån krav-kontroll och stödmodellen? : En kvalitativ studie utförd bland enhetschefer i en mindre kommun i Mellansverige / How does unit managers experience their workload based on Karaseks & Theorells demand-control and support model?

Syftet med studien var att studera enhetschefers upplevelse av arbetsrelaterad stress, samt hur stressupplevelsen och balansen på deras privatliv varierade. En kvalitativ metod genomfördes med hjälp av en semistrukturerad intervjuguide. Utifrån syfte och Karaseks och Theorells krav-kontroll och stödmodell utformades fyra frågeställningar. Sex enhetschefer intervjuades och det insamlade materialet analyserades med hjälp av en deduktiv tematisk analys. De fyra huvudtemana: krav på arbetsplatsen, kontroll över arbetssituationen, vikten av socialt stöd samt balansen mellan arbete och privatliv var förutbestämda utifrån teorin. Det övergripande resultatet visade på att respondenterna upplevde höga krav och låg kontroll på arbetsplatsen. Vidare framkom det att det sociala stödet var av stor vikt i respondenternas arbetssituation. Modellens förutsedda stressupplevelse stämde överens med enhetschefernas faktiska stressupplevelse och balansen mellan arbete och privatliv visade sig vara begränsad. / The purpose of this study was to study unit managers' experience of strenuous work and work-related stress, as well as how the stress experience impacted on their privacy. A qualitative method was carried out using a semi-structured interview guide. Based on the purpose and Karaseks and Theorell's demand-control and support model, four questions were formulated. Six unit managers were interviewed, and the collected material was analyzed using a deduction thematic analysis. The four main themes: workplace requirements, control of the work situation, the importance of social support and the balance between work and privacy were predetermined based on theory. The overall result showed that respondents experienced high demands and a low level of control at the workplace. Results also showed that social support was of great importance in the respondents' work situation. The model's predicted stress experience was in line with the unit managers' actual stress experience and the balance between work and privacy proved to be limited.

Problémy začínajících učitelů / Problems of novice teachers

The diploma thesis with the title Problems of beginning teachers. This deals with the issues of beginning teachers during their first years of practice and it also points out the existing forms of support which are available to young teachers in their first years. The theoretical part describes who can be considered a beginning teacher and the preparations of beginning teachers in Czech Republic and abroad. It defines key pedagogical and professional competence problems that new teachers experience at the start of their career. It offers solutions on how to deal with common issues and it also points out the forms of support which is available. The empirical part analyses specific problems which can appear at the start of their careers. Methods used for this analysis consisted of a questionnaire of 70 new teachers and the interview of 2 new teachers from the same primary school. The objective of this method is to find out the problems facing new teachers which appear in the first 3 years of their practice and to see if these issues were the same as the concerns that they had before they started teaching.
