Využití interaktivní tabule na 1. stupni ZŠ / Interactive Whiteboard and its Possibilities of Usage in the Primary Education

The thesis examines the use of the interactive whiteboard in the lower primary schools since the interactive whiteboard is a commonly used teaching aid nowadays. Based on references to literature and an empirical study, the thesis aims to describe the various possibilities of the efficient usage of the interactive whiteboard in education. The theoretical part opens with the description of information and communication technologies in general and the usage of the interactive whiteboard in the classroom. It focuses on its advantages and disadvantages, lists examples of its features available, and closes with an illustration of interactive teaching. It also introduces SMART Notebook collaborative learning software and describes its features. The empirical part employs both the quantitative and the qualitative research. The quantitative part is based on a questionnaire aimed at teachers at lower primary schools and investigates how the teachers use the interactive whiteboard in their classrooms. The qualitative part is devoted to a set of interactive materials designed for the subjects Czech language and Maths, which were subsequently tested in the third grade of a lower primary school.

ABSTRACT: The aim of the thesis is the illustration, using the principle of clarity in the teaching of foreign languages and an analysis of interactive textbook for Russian Raduga po-novomu 1 in comparison with its printed form. The basis of the work creates the monitoring of progress of the concept of clarity, the using of visual aids and different teaching methods from J. A. Comenius to the present, when we have a modern education technique at the disposal, which allows the application of the principle of illustration in all its forms. The survey questionnaire form is designed to measure the level of popularity of modern teaching techniques for visual teaching. 1 Abstract The subject of this thesis was creating of teaching material for an interactive whiteboard using the SMART Notebook program. The material was created in form of interactive presentations designed to be used in chemistry lessons at secondary schools. The unifying theme of presentations was the 14th group of the periodic table of elements. The thesis also includes a description of the way the presentations were made and instructions for teachers how to work with them. It also introduces some advantages and disadvantages of working with the SMART Notebook software. The thesis is concerned with the use of computers and ICT technology in nursery schools in the Czech Republic, those in particular where children have the opportunity to work with Kid Smart computers. The assignment should chart and analyze the information and communication literacy of school directors, to document available ICT technologies suitable for nursery schools, and define potential barriers that prevent their wider usage and to propose measures to directors that would lead to a gradual overcoming of these issues. A comparison with the situation abroad includes schools in Iceland and Portugal. A portion of this thesis deals with research regarding this topic and its subsequent evaluation. The assignment should provide directors with a well arranged description of available ICT for nursery schools and should familiarize them with the appropriate software for managing administration.

The diploma thesis focuses on support of teaching in chosen subjects in the second year of elementary school using interactive white boards with new technology SMART lab. It is focused on evaluation of publicly available interactive teaching portal applications, which occurre in high numbers, however they are obsoled or inappropriately created. Subsequently, the thesis includes a research which pays attention to the usage of the interactive white boards in chosen subjects in the second year of elementary schools located in Vysočina region. The main aim is to ascertain knowledge of teachers when using this technology. The examined subjects were chosen of the result of the questionnaire survey which was sent to teachers from the first grade of the elementary school.

In its theoretical part, this thesis treats possibilities of using no-touch technology Leap Motion in elementary school lessons for operating interactive applications focused on physics education. The thesis investigates the ways in which it is possible to operate already published applications which are not programmed specifically for a no-touch technology and which are, however, intended for work with an interactive whiteboard or for a standard computer work. Their advantages and disadvantages are discussed as well. The thesis deals, among other things, with the availability of relevant applications and offers a summary of information about Leap Motion technology and of opportunities for replacing interactive whiteboards. The thesis also includes a description of the technology and of the potential for developing your own applications. The aim of the practical part is to create a new didactic application which will be tested in lessons. This part also includes a poll which will find out what is the interest in Leap Motion technology among teachers.

The main aim of my thesis is to create a suggestion of my own teaching materials for teaching the topic "The Earth in Space" in the context of geography on the 2nd stage of Primary schools which includes not only workbook for students but also a methodological guide for teachers and additional outputs usable for an interactive whiteboard. The teaching text itself corresponds to the principles defined in the current educational documents. The theoretical part evaluates the significance and status of the material in the curriculum in the context of the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education and the school educational programmes of schools monitored. The next chapter is devoted to the didactic analysis of current educational textbooks and workbooks for the 2nd stage of Primary schools which includes the subject matter. The thesis also contains an overview of selected modern elements in the teaching of geography.

The main aim is to create the multimedia educational programme in the SMART notebook 11, the special programme for interactive board. The thesis also contains a methodological guide for teachers which was created with educational programme. This programme corresponds to the principles of the current educational documents (Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education). The theoretical part deals with the didactic analysis of current educational textbooks and workbooks of geography which are designed for the second stage of Primary school and included the subject matter. There was made a research by a controlled discussion with geography teachers to get a notion of time allocation and volume in teaching regional geography of Australia and New Zealand.

The thesis deals with the comparison of physics textbooks for primary schools. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the representation of individual sets of textbooks in primary schools in the South Bohemian Region, to develop and test custom teaching concepts revolving around thematic unit of 'Simple Machines'. This work is addressed primarily to teachers as a tool to enhance teaching effectiveness, to support the imagination and to increase interest in physics among pupils. These are the reasons why thematic unit, called Simple Machines, has been developed in form of interactive presentation, whose contribution and efficiency has been practically verified directly during physics classes in few selected primary schools. Benefits have been verified through accredited didactic tests and their evaluation and results are processed at the end of this thesis.

The diploma thesis ``Teaching the czech language with the help of smart board`` concentrates on the work with the smart board during the lessons of Czech language. The aim of this thesis is to make a CD with three lessons taught in the practise. This work is divided into two parts {--} the theoretical and practical part. Some basic terms concerning the interactive board and its facilities are explained in the theoretical part. It also deals with the overview of the types of the smart boards, interactive textbooks, interactive exercises, interactive classrooms etc. Some softwares are mentioned here too. There is also a part mentioning some news when teaching with modern technologies in the Czech Republic. The basis of the practical part is to create a manual on a CD that will be proved in the practise and will be able to be used in the future teaching of Czech language. The CD will contain three exemplary lessons. The next part of the theoretical part will be a questionnaire gained by the teachers who teach Czech language with the help of smart board and their notes and opinions. Every single chapter and its subheads serve for its own dividing.
