A Boolean Cube to VHDL converter and its application to parallel CRC generation

Hantoosh, Majid January 2011 (has links)
The primary outcome of this thesis is found in three contributions. First, we developed an automatic converter from the cube representation of incompletely specified multiple-output Boolean function, given in Espresso format, to VHDL. The converter is designed specifically for updating functions of Feedback Shift Register (FSRs) in the Galois configuration, namely it reads in the description of a combinatorial function and adds register stages to the appropriate positions. The converter can handle both, Linear and Non-Linear feedback Shift Registers. The second contribution is modifying the automatic converter to design a tool which gives the user the opportunity to see the hardware characteristics of its circuit quickly from the espresso format of its design. The third contribution is applying the resulting converter to evaluate the results of the CRC generation algorithm presented in [6]. We computed the hardware characteristics such as area, timing and power dissipation on most popular CRCs in ASIC and FPGA technologies. Furthermore, we introduced a simple interface used to provide the user a good estimation of the power diagram during the executing time which is similar to probing the current of the circuit.

The role of Dynamic Capabilities in the internationalization process of Chinese Multinationals : the Case of Haier, Huawei and TCL.

Barré, Geneviève 23 September 2014 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the role of dynamic capabilities in the internationalization process of Chinese corporations since China’s entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001, even though these companies did not have a clear prior competitive advantage over their Western competitors. The study of three Chinese multinational enterprises – the Haier Group, Huawei Technologies and TCL Corporation – is conducted in the framework of the Dynamic-Capability View (DCV). It aims at identifying the nature and the foundations of the dynamic capabilities developed by these corporations during the internationalization process. This process is characterized by the combination of a significant investment in technological innovation and an accelerated internationalization, jointly contributing to creating and sustaining of competitive advantage. These two elements of the corporate strategies benefit from the strong support of the Chinese government.

Conception optimale de structures cinématiques tridimensionnelles. Application aux mécanismes de transmission en rotation

FAUROUX, Jean-Christophe 19 January 1999 (has links) (PDF)

Automatická konfigurace síťových prvků Cisco akademie / Automatic configuration of intermediate networking devices used in Cisco academy

Verner, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
his semestral´s thesis deals with proposal and system implementation for automatic configuration of Cisco network devices. This system is called AutoConf and it is intended for distant copying configuration files from eagle-server to the switches and routers in Cisco academy laboratory. It is handled by web pages placed on eagle-server. In this system, user can create new laboratory exercises with configuration files for network devices and then these files could be used for configurations. Informations about done configurations are saved in relation database MySQL. Network devices which will be configured by system AutoConf have to be connected with eagle-server. To setup their connection settings was created decision-making mechanism. If it detects physical connection between network device and eagle-server before network device starts, it will set network device for communication with eagle-server.

The impact of china's outward FDI

Unknown Date (has links)
For the very first time in 2000, China proposed a clear strategy to have corporations ‘going out,’ encouraging and supporting competent state-owned and private enterprises to invest overseas market. With the backup of the state, this policy enables Chinese corporations to get into the global economic market by means of outward foreign direct investment. In this way, they can affect the operation and management of foreign enterprises so as to advance their own technologies, control channels, and to acquire necessary resources. Moreover, they may combine economic power with political strength effectively, enhancing the comprehensive national power of China gradually so that China may increase its international status to become a superpower in the world. Though market economy is introduced in China, its political system, socialism, remains the same. The Communist government makes the decision concerning its operation and the economic system. In other words, the intervention of the state in the market is furtherer and wider than that of capitalist countries. In order to understand how the state controls enterprises in terms of the operation of outward foreign direct investment, its development, and the influence, the study adopts state capitalism of international political economy as the approach to analyze the function and influence of the state government on outward foreign direct investment. Moreover, the study is aimed at concluding the characteristics of Chinese pattern of outward foreign direct investment by adopting the British economist, John Dunning’s, the theory of investment-development cycle to compare and analyze the outcome of Chinese outward foreign direct investment in the scope of the whole world. After comparing and analyzing how the china overall and enterprises case about development and influence of outward foreign direct investment, it is discovered that China’s ability of outward foreign direct investment is increasing. China has the ability of economic autonomy and is transforming from a country of periphery to a core country. Overall, the development pattern of China’s outward foreign direct investment is indeed different from other major countries. The similarity lies in that there is a significantly positive relationship between the outward foreign direct investment of China and other countries and their domestic economic structure. That is to say, when the development of economy has reached a certain level, frequent outward foreign direct investment and its effects will then appear. On the other hand, the difference lies in that private enterprises in other countries are internationally competent and play an important role in outward foreign direct investment. However, in China, state-owned enterprises have more advantages and capabilities than private enterprises in terms of outward foreign direct investment. The motivation of investment is determined by national policy and the demands of economic development. Moreover, due to the scale being small, private enterprises in China need to improve their international competitiveness. Therefore, they don’t exert as much influence in the global market.
