1	Inventering / Inventory Granström, Ann-Sofie January 2011 (has links) Digitalt textiltryck ger mig möjlighet att skapa textilier av hög kvalitet i små upplagor utan begränsningar vad gäller rapportstorlek och färgantal. Jag kan producera hållbara och praktiska textilier med en handgjord känsla. Dessa egenskaper ger tekniken intressanta möjligheter som en överbryggare mellan design och textil konst/konsthantverk. Det ger också stora möjligheter att anpassa formgivningen efter en specifik möbel eller miljö. Detta vill jag utnyttja i mitt arbete. Jag samarbetar med två konstnärer där de tillverkar möbler och jag textilier. Vår ambition är att göra gränsen diffus mellan det massproducerade och unika, mellan konst, hantverk och design. Vi arbetar på temat illusion/verklighet och utgår från en institutionsliknande miljö. Som kontrast till ursprungsmiljön använder vi oss av fantasi, drömmar och natur för att öppna rummet och sinnet. Genom att arbeta med min formgivning utifrån ett konstnärligt sammanhang hoppas jag kunna ge textilierna ett uttryck som uppmuntrar till tankar och associationer. Eftersom textilierna är digitaltryckta behöver jag inte göra avkall på kvalitet till förmån för en konstnärlig känsla. Motiven kan reproduceras på material som lämpar sig för att faktiskt användas i väntrummet eller sjukhussalen.Old institutional furniture comes to life in a new furniture piece. The project is a collaboration with the artists an furniture makers Maria Segersäll and Rasmus Sköld. Our ambition is to make the boundary diffuse between the mass produced and unique, between art, craft and design. We work on the theme of illusion/reality with starting point in an institution-like setting. In contrast to the original environment, we use imagination, dreams and nature to open up the space and the mind. 2	Textile Influence : exploring the relationship between textiles and products in the design process Nilsson, Linnéa January 2015 (has links) Textile materials and textile design are a part of countless products in our surroundings,as well as diverse design fields and industries, each of which has very different materialtraditions and working methods. The aim of this thesis is to add to our understandingof the relationship between textiles and products in the design process, and to explorehow textiles enter and influence product design processes and how products functionin textile design processes. A further aim is to examine the effect of new textiletechnology, such as smart textiles and 3D printed textiles, on this dynamic. This thesis is the result of an interplay between theoretical work, experimentalpractice-based projects, and observation of design practice, and it presents two typesof results: Firstly, descriptions of how the relationship can manifest itself in the designprocess, which give a broad picture of the relationship between textile and productand in so doing add to our understanding of textiles as design materials and highlightsome of the additional complexities and possibilities for the design process that comewith new forms of textiles. Secondly, this thesis presents ways of describing thedynamics between textiles and products in the design process, with the intention ofopening up for reflection on how we design, and can design, with textiles. Here, themain outcome is a theoretical framework which examines the relationship from botha product design and a textile design perspective, and includes methods and questionsthat can be used to explore and define how textiles and products meet in the designprocess. 3	AMEH JAG DÅ!? : En mönsterkollektion och ett litet rop på hjälp Nilsson, Emma January 2017 (has links) Med utgångspunkt från boken Omforma : Nya strukturer för designbranschen, har jag undersökt arbetssituationen för en mönsterdesigner 2017 och hur det går att koppla till svensk mönsterhistoria. Ett exempel jag tittar närmare på är kollektionen Signerad textil som visades på NK 1954. Jag reflekterar också över samtidens besatthet av mönster från 50- och 60-talet och vad det kan skapa för konsekvenser för nu verksamma formgivare. I det gestaltande arbetet har jag skapat en varierad mönsterkollektion där jag försöker reflektera och utmana min egen designprocess.
