The description of realizations and didactic analysis of the lectures are included in the project part as well. This diploma thesis deals with the level of entry knowledge and ideas about continents of pupils of younger school age. The aim of this thesis is to investigate complex ideas and knowledge of pupils about continents through a single research conducted in the fourth and fifth grades of three primary schools. The research date is further analysed. It will focus on the source from which children learn the information; quality, accuracy, character, extent of this knowledge, and the emotional plane of cognition and preconception. The evaluation of the research as well as the key task of the work is to analyze the difference of pupils' results by individual schools, to compare the results of the fourth and fifth grades and, last but not least, to compare the level of knowledge of boys and girls. The result of the didactic application of research data, in the practical part of the thesis, is the creation of educational material in the form of project teaching for the fourth and fifth grades of primary schools. The content of the thesis is structured into five sub-units. The research part is preceded by the theoretical part, containing the theoretical starting points of the thesis and discussion with the literature related to the given issue. The second, methodological part, introduces the subject, course and processing of the research, including applied research methods and methods used in the practical part of the thesis. The core of the work is the research part which summarizes the collected data and informs about the results of the survey. The research is followed by the practical part which includes the proposal of own project teaching for the fourth and fifth grade of primary school. The final part confirms and rejects the input hypotheses of the research.

In this work we deal with the position of obsolescent words, obsolete words and historicisms in the teaching of the Czech language and literature at the lower level of a one-year grammar school. We focus on layers of vocabulary, especially on the layer of time-tagged words, we explain the terms obsolescent word, obsolete word, archaism and historicisms in the theoretical part. We also focus on the reading comprehension process. We describe the ways in which readers deduce the meaning of unknown words. We analyse the system of curricular documents, textbooks and readers used at the lower grades of eight-year grammar school by the method of detailed reading in the practical part. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, we also analyse the knowledge of pupils, their attitude to these words and the influence of the occurrence of these words on their reading and understanding.

On-line experiments by physics education at basic school The aim of this diploma thesis is to prove the usefulness of on-line experiments during physics teaching. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical one and practical one. The theoretical part deals with the teaching in primary schools, the possibility of the usage of informational and communication technologies, the increase of student´s motivation through new teaching methods and the student´s life in a school surrounding. The practical part consists of the experiment complex created by the set PASCO. The working sheets, which are given to some of the experiments, enable to attest the effectiveness of the chosen experiments in practice. The results of the didactic samplers to the particular classes are enclosed and described.

Pupils revealed how these sites have changed during the 20th century. They compared the history development with the present situation of the buildings. They explored for example the castle of Vargač, the chateau of Dobříš, so-called Cultural House, House and Gym of Sokol Association, secondary school building and Kopáček's house. The thesis Water is Life describes the natural science project realized over seven years at elementary school in Chrudim. The theoretical part is dedicated to comparison of the transmissive and constructive-based teaching. It also defines the terms: project, project- based teaching, projective method and research-based teaching. Further chapters deal with contrasting the project-based teaching with integrated theme-based teaching and implementation of the topic Water in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The analytical part of the thesis describes the process of realization of the Water is Life project from the methodology to the final evaluation. It also employs critical analysis of the project with emphasis on "projectivity" of the projects and necessity of following the basic criteria for the project-based teaching. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the problematic parts and the possible alterations of the described project. This thesis deals with teaching methods that can be used when working with pupils of primary school and it focuses on the possibilities to use inquiry-based science education (IBSE).The thesis analyses the literature and choice of topics that may be suitable for IBSE. The thesis proposes and presents four IBSE themes or comprehensive tasks respectively. All these tasks are focused on invertebrates occurring in the garden. Usability of one of these tasks was tested during science instruction in primary school. Results of this testing are presented. The individual teaching and learning procedures and particular tasks for pupils are prepared and arranged to develop their independence and desire to explore and discover. Proposed educational themes and tasks are available for IBSE in primary school.
