Key success factors for managing special events : the case of wedding tourism / L. de WittDe Witt, Leonie January 2006 (has links)
The primary goal of the study was to identify key success factors for the management of
wedding tourism in South Africa. This goal was achieved by firstly conducting a literature
study to determine the key success factors of strategic management for special events as
stated in books, articles and other sources. Secondly, wedding tourism was analysed to
provide an overview of the wedding tourism industry and weddings as tourism products.
Thirdly, the results of the empirical research were discussed followed by the conclusions
and recommendations made with regard to further research.
From the literature study, aspects regarding strategic management were discussed
namely, the strategic management process, marketing for special events, human resource
management, financial management and operational management. These aspects were
included in the questionnaires for the empirical research. Two different questionnaires were
developed, one for wedding planners and one for owners/managers of wedding venues in
the Gauteng and North West provinces. The purpose of the questionnaires was to gather
information on the key success factors for wedding tourism and to gain insight of the
wedding tourism industry. Personal interviews were held with wedding planners and
owners1 managers of wedding venues; questionnaires were also distributed via email. All
the data was processed by the North-West University's Statistical Consultation Services. A
confirmatory factor analysis was done to produce a small amount of factors. The following
factors were identified: strategic planning; SWOT analysis, human resources, financial
management, market segmentation, promotion and operational management.
After analysing the data it was clear that operational services like ensuring high levels of
hygiene, having a liquor license, accessibility, secure parking and that services must meet
the needs of guests were considered extremely important aspects for a wedding venue.
The following aspects were considered extremely important by wedding planners: services
must meet the needs of guests, offer unique products and develop a checklist as control
mechanism.
Owners of wedding tourism products and wedding planners have to consider and apply the
key success factors in order to grow the industry and create sustainable products. / Thesis (M.Com. (Tourism))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2007.

Bride squadHuarancca Escobar, María Luisa, Jiménez Armijo, Daniel Enrique, Juskamayta Ferro, Cesar, Li Loo, Andrea Mey Len, Santisteban Arbaiza, Sergio Andrés 01 July 2019 (has links)
Bride Squad is a business model that meets the demands of the bachelorette market, providing innovative products that complement the themes proposed by event. The problem that made us develop this project is the almost non-existent offer of quality products that can be used at a bachelorette party of a friend, sister or daughter. We decided to investigate some market components, such as: the origin of the problem, consumer preferences and the needs to include these in the market to solve the problems.
Subsequently, through interviews and surveys and the analysis of secondary sources, we were able to validate the following hypothesis: "People who organize a bachelorette party cannot easily find a store that provides them with accessories and clothes that match their tastes". In this work we provide extensive research on this market, such as: market size, external and internal analysis, validation experiments, and so on. Additionally, we applied administration tools; such as, canvas model, flowchart matrix, Gantt diagrams, SWOT, Peyea matrix, EFE and IFE matrixes, among others.
Finally, we made use of financial tools, which together with the estimated sales forecast, allowed us to present the Income Statement and Balance Sheet. With these and the cost of equity, we determine the NPV of our business model; as well as, the appropriate ratios to affirm that our model is economically viable and scalable. / Trabajo de investigación

Pentecostal, 10 and 16 traditional church of the Pentecostal church, being subdivided
into groups in relation to marital satisfaction. We work with the theme of
marital satisfaction as the key as the present work, corroborated with the most
points already stated in previous research, with emphasis on gender relations as a
variable differential marital, surprising the greater number of women satisfied with
respect tomen, the influence of religion can be seen in relation to paternal
identification models, acting as a support network and training for moral and ethical
values. The kinds of conflict and ways of facing the evangelical sample is similar to
that of couples, regardless of religious variable / Pesquisadores têm estudado sobre a interface da religião nos casamentos,
religiosa

Previous issue date: 2006-10-10 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior / This dissertation is an analysis on the meaning of marriage and funerary rituals in the
social organization of a small peasant community in the northern area of Rio de Janeiro
State. Taking into account those rituals, we show up how death and union - as ways of
social reproduction of life - even if being central issues in the everyday life of any
community, are dealt with in peculiar ways, yet mobilizing cultural resources shared with
other communities, assuming previous social and moral configurations and having as effect
their reinterpretation and rearrangement. In order to accomplish this task we carried on
ethnographies of marriage and funerals, interviews, and narratives besides following
families daily lives before, during and after those events: what they think , how they act,
what they speak about themselves and how they connect inside and outside of their social
spaces.

Vývoj svatebního obřadu v komunistickém Československu / "I was eighteen and got married out of real love." Evolution of wedding ceremony in Communist CzechoslovakiaHodačová Balvínová, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this master's thesis is the study of the development and changes of the wedding customs in the years 1948 - 1989, i.e. during the period of communistic Czechoslovakia. These developments and changes were monitored by oral history quality research - by the direct interviews with participants in discussions and comparison with available sources and photographic documentation from the weddings in each period of time. The work is focused more detailed on the influence of the socialism and its economic and cultural conditions over the development of wedding practices and customs and then on deviations from the Western, or better to say non-communistic model of changes in wedding customs in Europe during the post-war period of the 20th Century. The research was pursued at the regional level. The narrators were selected with regard to their responsibility for the appropriate generation and to the time they have married.
