<p>I detta examensarbete undersöker jag hur man kan etablera sig som låtskrivare, vilkakontakter man behöver, vilken kunskap man bör ha. Rapporten beskriver delvis minaupplevelser av marknaden samt grundas på information från intervjuer med etableradesvenska kompositörer. Parallellt med examensarbetet deltar jag i projektet Soundmasters (Sedefinition sida 3) vilket ger mig ett kontaktnät samt tillgång till karriärrådgivare.</p>

<p>I detta examensarbete tar vi upp hur vi gått till väga i genomförandet av Alive Festival -09. Vi har jobbat genom den ideella föreningen KF LIVE (Se definition) som fungerar som arrangörsgrupp i Skövde. Vi tar upp frågor som rör ekonomi, marknadsföring samt det egentliga arbete som krävs under festivaldagen. Under arbetets gång har vi hunnit införskaffa information, reflekterat över den och till sist använt oss av den när vi faktiskt genomfört festivalen. Festivalen som hölls under nio timmar innefattar tre scener med femton lokala som internationella band. I denna rapport kommer läsaren kunna ta del av de beslut vi i gruppen fattat samt få en överblick för det arbete som krävs under festivaldagen.</p>

<p>Abstract: In this study, I have searched for answers to whether teachers use pictures in their teaching with the purpose of making education easier. Can we use the pictures with a pedagogic purpose? In this study, I have interviewed middle-school teachers concerning this subject.</p><p>My results show that teachers actually use pictures in order to make the education easier for pupils but they do not do it very often. They think that they do not have the time to look for the good pictures that go with their subject and that they can show in the classroom. They also think that the pictures in the textbooks are good enough and they do not discuss the pictures very much. The pupils often do their own interpretations.</p>

<p>Rapporten kommer att behandla definitionen av begreppet homestyling, med avseende på dess ursprung, bakgrund, tillämpning och resultat, samt se hur dess marknad och framtid ser ut. Vidare kommer rapporten visa jämförelseteorier med övriga yrken och tjänster, samt se till medias framställning av ämnet. Rapporten bygger på intervjuer med personer inom branschen, litteratur och artiklar, samt en praktisk undersökning.</p>

<p>Syfte: Studiens syfte har varit att granska och diskutera kring vad en kreativ bildundersvisning är för att få en fördjupad kunskap kring kreativitetens betydelse och vad den har för vikt i samband med bildundersviningen. Detta då genom att kolla på likheter/ skillnader mellan lärares och elevers offentliga syn för skapandets förmåga i skolvärlden, men även också utifrån den lästa litteraturen. Metod: Min studie grundar sig på strukturerade intervjuer där jag valt att intervjua lärare samt elever för att få en inblick om vad de anser vara en kreativ bildundersvining. Resultat: Eftersom undersökningsområdet varit väldigt begränsat och endast tio intervjuer ägt rum kommer jag att inte dra några generella slutsatser. Jag har funnit att det är viktigt att både som lärare och elev ta sitt ansvar på allvar för att skapa en miljö som är stimulerande med goda förutsättningar för ett kreativt arbete. Jag har tyckt mig kunnat utläsa i intervjuerna att både lärare och elever anser att kreativitet är lämpligt och främjar lärarens och elevernas roll i skolan.</p>

<p>Vårt samhälle ser idag inte ut som det gjorde för 15-20 år sedan. Det har berikats av tillflyttade människor som fört med sig olika kulturer och religioner. Detta avspeglar sig även i skolan som ju är en del av vårt samhälle. Jag vill med detta examensarbete undersöka hur bildundervisningen i grundskolornas senare årskurser, utifrån ett mångkulturellt perspektiv har ändrats under de senaste 15-20 åren. För att undersöka detta har jag bl.a. gjort jämförelser mellan de olika läro- och kursplanerna från Lpo80 fram till kursplanerna 2000 i ämnet bild. Jag har även undersökt i hur stor utsträckning undervisande lärare inom ämnet bild tar hjälp av modersmålslärarna i sin undervisning. I min undersökning har jag också genomfört att antal kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare och elever. Resultatet av min undersökning visar att de intervjuade bildlärarna anser att bildämnet har förändrats under de senaste 10-15 åren. Detta beror dock inte, enligt informanterna, på ökad invandring i samhället utan mer på att teknologin fått större utrymme även inom bildkommunikation och framställning. En annan förändring till varför bildlektionerna ser annorlunda ut idag mot för 10-15 år sedan beror även att eleverna idag är mer vilsna och osäkra idag.</p>

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime. Essentially all breast cancer treatment involves surgery. The two most generally performed surgical treatments for breast cancer are breast conservation therapy and mastectomy followed by breast reconstruction. Breast reconstructive surgery is an important component of the breast cancer treatment process. The aesthetic outcome of breast cancer treatment is a critical factor in breast cancer survivors' quality of life. Aesthetics is a general term that refers to physical characteristics such as symmetry and proportion. Currently, physicians, patients, or other observers evaluate breast aesthetics in a subjective, qualitative manner. However, such assessments are typically based on vaguely defined rating scales that have low intra- and inter-observer agreement. Their qualitative nature also restricts the analyses that can be performed. Quantitative, objective measures with high reliability are needed to meaningfully relate patient and surgical variables to aesthetic outcomes and to compare the outcomes of different kinds of breast cancer treatments (e.g., reconstruction procedures). I postulated that quantitative measures of breast aesthetic properties can be designed using clinical photographs. In this dissertation, I have designed algorithms to compute objective, quantitative, reproducible measures of breast aesthetics. I have evaluated the algorithms for computing objective measures of breast aesthetic properties such as ptosis and surgical scars from clinical photographs. A preliminary observer rating scale of 11 symmetry ratings items, 14 individual breast ratings items, and a global rating on overall appearance before and after the entire rating items was proposed. Eye-tracking technology was used to understand how plastic surgeons assess breast aesthetics by recording their gaze path while they rate breast anatomy on clinical photographs. In addition to these design and evaluation tasks, I also have used the objective measures to conduct a preliminary comparison of the aesthetic outcomes of different reconstruction procedures. / text

For this master degree project I have confronted the phenomenon of a new generation of users who identify themselves more with services they can reach than with things they actually own. Such insight relates to both an increasing environmental awareness and socio-economical factors that conflict with the way the automotive industry has been developing. Commercial vehicles are a segment that could logically benefit from applying a service-approach to its design and development process. What is the aesthetic that derives from the needs of these future users? That has been the main question and focus of my thesis. My goal was to explore such aesthetic in a tangible application in the interior design of a multi-purpose van. I partner with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in this process. My conclusion is that the “Aesthetic of Use“ lies in a triangularity of vehicle architecture, surface treatment and flexibility of usage. With this understanding I developed an “evaluation key” to help me judge the ideation material in order to select the best design proposal to illustrate a service based vehicle for VW. The chosen interior design proposal represents a modular system offering two distinct configurations: Labour and Premium. The Labour architecture could be upgraded by applying and changing rentable components and would act as the base for the Premium version. The modular principle of this architecture would allow to serve the different needs of the users by mixing and combining these components.
