Dorinio ugdymo kokybės kriterijai bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos 5-10 klasėse / Criteria of moral education quality in general education school, forms 5-10

Jaraminaitė-Ūsienė, Milda 04 July 2012 (has links)
There are big works already done and still to be done through the past ten years in practical range of Moral Training: renewed Moral Training programmes, textbooks and teachers are being prepared, seminars are organized, but situation is still not improved and does not meet public expectations. We can say that problem is relevant, complicated and versatile and there is a lack of comprehensive research of the problem. It is important to review aspects of Moral Education quality more widely and find out if criteria of Moral Education quality are the same in teachers’, pupils’ and parents’ opinion.

What was the purpose of this task? : An investigative study of students' perceptions of explicit task objectives

Birkby, Josefin January 2015 (has links)
Taking its starting point in the often debated subject of Swedish compulsory school students’ performance scores in surveys such as PISA and a lack of motivation towards schoolwork that transfers to low performance and does not facilitate a good learning climate, this study aims to investigate how teaching practice can affect this. The study is partly connected to formative assessment in that it focuses on one of the key strategies of the process; making the objectives and goals of schoolwork transparent to students and sharing these with them. Grounded in research both on formative assessment but also on motivation in connection to foreign language learning, it is hypothesised that sharing the objectives of a task with students will improve not only their performance on it, but also their motivation level and their perceptions of the task being of value to them and of benefit for their learning. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach where a group of 50 students were given five pairs of tasks out of which five were given without any explanation of the objectives (the A version) and five were given with an explanation of the objectives (the B version). Accompanying each task was a questionnaire and the answers to the questionnaires together with performance scores on the tasks served as the raw data for analysis. The study can be said to have strong ecological validity since it investigates teaching practice that commonly occurs in classrooms as teachers on an everyday basis choose to either share the objectives of schoolwork with their students, or do not.The analysis of the data gathered showed that there was no general improvement in performance scores on the B-version tasks where students were given an explanation of the objectives beforehand. Neither were they more motivated, nor felt that the tasks were more valuable or perceived they had learnt more. The findings thus pointed to the opposite of the hypothesised outcome. However, there proved to be a correlation between performance scores and motivation which in turn could encourage further research on the motivation of students in foreign language learning. A discussion of the manner in which the objectives and goals of tasks are communicated to students further opened up for a possible research angle to pursue where the focus would be not only on sharing the objectives with students but on discussing these and making them meaningful to students on a personal level.

Exploring pediatric chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) diagnostic criteria and determining the efficacy of multidisciplinary treatment in managing pediatric CRPS

Son, SungJun 20 June 2016 (has links)
Currently, there is a dearth of knowledge regarding pediatric Complex Regional pain syndrome (CRPS), whether it is in regards to its pathophysiological mechanisms, pediatric-specific diagnostic criteria, validated diagnostic tests, conclusive treatment regimens, or validation of invasive and noninvasive treatment protocols in the pediatric CRPS population. It is imperative to first explore and establish a pediatric CRPS diagnostic criteria in order to optimize diagnostic accuracy for clinical and research purposes. This study first examined the efficacy of the Budapest criteria, a validated diagnostic instrument for adult CRPS, in the pediatric population. The test was administered to 221 pediatric patients at the Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center (PPRC), an intensive day treatment program at Boston Children’s Hospital for youth with chronic pain, and included both CRPS and non-CRPS chronic pain patients. Utilizing the Budapest criteria, secondary analyses were performed to determine whether the pediatric CRPS patients had an alleviation of their diagnosis from admission to discharge from the program. The Budapest clinical decision rule (to satisfy at least 2 signs categories and 3 symptoms categories) was utilized in examining the data. The sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio (PLR), and negative likelihood ratio (NLR) of the Budapest criteria in the pediatric sample were 0.56, 0.95, 10.39, and 0.47, respectively. The low sensitivity and high specificity was in contrast to the adult findings, and suggests that the Budapest criteria would be appropriate when the primary purpose is to identify stringent research samples as opposed to maximizing clinical diagnoses of CRPS. The likelihood ratios indicated that while satisfying the Budapest clinical decision rule may conclusively increase the probability of the pediatric patient actually having CRPS, a negative test does not significantly decrease the probability of the patient having CRPS. Therefore, modifications that appropriately increase the sensitivity while maintaining the high specificity of the Budapest Criteria are recommended. Repeated measures ANOVA resulted in a significant decrease of the Budapest signs and symptoms score in the 94 pediatric CRPS patients in the sample, both in the Clinician + Budapest (satisfied the Budapest clinical decision rule) and Clinician Diagnosed (did not satisfy the Budapest clinical decision rule) CRPS cohorts (p < 0.001). This further authenticated the use of a multidisciplinary treatment approach in managing pediatric CRPS, as the program was successful in alleviating the patients’ signs and symptoms. Further research must be conducted to explore the improvements that can be made to the Budapest Criteria for its use in pediatric CRPS so as to maximize its diagnostic accuracy. Overall, this study corroborated the use of interdisciplinary treatment regimens for pediatric CRPS, but further rigorous investigation is necessary to elucidate the mechanisms behind pediatric CRPS and the rehabilitation programs’ success in managing CRPS.

Candidate: Zuzana Očovská1 Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Vlček, CSc.1 Consultant: PharmDr. Martina Maříková2 1 Department Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University 2 University Hospital Hradec Králové, Hospital Pharmacy, Head of the Division of Clinical Pharmacy Title of the master thesis: The analysis of drug-related problems potentially leading to hospitalization among geriatric patients Hospital admissions due to drug-related problems (DRPs) represent a relevant clinical issue with significant economic consequences. Polypharmacy and age-related pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic changes make elderly patients particularly prone to develop DRP. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis was to introduce the issue of drug-related problems and to outline the results of previous studies concerning drug-related hospitalizations among geriatric patients. The aim of the practical part was to determine the prevalence of DRP potentially leading to hospitalization and to identify the most common medication classes involved in these DRPs. Over the period of six months 200 admissions to geriatric ward of III. Internal Gerontometabolic Clinic of University Hospital Hradec Králové have been retrospectively evaluated in order to determine whether the...

Ready for Euro?

Staňková, Andrea January 2008 (has links)
Recently, there has been a broad discussion regarding the timing of joining the Euro zone. The mainstream opinion is that the sooner the Czech Republic joins, the better. However, as this thesis indicates, especially the econometric model, the Czech Republic is not ready for doing so. Hence, an early accession may not be beneficial.
