Previous issue date: 2017-04-16 / The main objective of this research was to investigate the critical success factors for cloud ERP projects in the scenario of Brazilian companies. In addition, the secondary objectives were to identify the perception of benefits resulting from this implementation, in the aspect of improving organizational performance and the elaboration of a matrix to support the management of such projects, based on a review of the literature and the data collected from the field research. The method of the data collection was a self-directed questionnaire, and the statistical method was the canonical correlation, to answer the main research question. In addition, a factorial analysis and a multiple linear regression were run to investigate possible relationships between the independent variables (critical success factors) and the dependent variables (benefits) of the research model. The results obtained did not validate all the critical factors present in the literature, and those that were proven empirically were regrouped in new dimensions, being: security information and alignment of compliance, and communication and management of stakeholders. / O objetivo principal deste estudo foi explorar os principais fatores críticos de sucesso de projetos ERP cloud, no contexto do cenário de empresas brasileiras. Adicionalmente, os objetivos secundários consistiram na identificação da percepção de benefícios resultantes dessa implementação, sob o aspecto de melhoria do desempenho organizacional e a elaboração, com base na revisão da literatura sobre o tema e nos dados coletados na pesquisa de campo, de uma matriz para apoiar a gestão de projetos dessa natureza. Para responder à questão de pesquisa, o método de coleta de dados foi o questionário autodirigido e o método estatístico foi a correlação canônica. Adicionalmente, foi realizada uma análise fatorial e uma regressão linear múltipla para investigar com mais profundidade possíveis relações entre as variáveis independentes (fatores críticos de sucesso) e as variáveis dependentes (benefícios) do modelo de pesquisa. Os resultados obtidos não validaram todos os fatores críticos presentes na literatura, e os que se comprovaram empiricamente foram reagrupados em novas dimensões, sendo: segurança da informação e alinhamento do compliance, e comunicação e gestão de stakeholders.

Idag tillämpar nästan alla verksamheter någon form av affärssystem och har kommit att bli ett betydande system för verksamheter. Under de senaste åren har även molnbaserade affärssystem vuxit fram vilket möjliggör verksamheter att använda hela eller delar av sitt affärssystem över internet istället för att behöva sköta all hantering av det fysiska lokalt. Det molnbaserade affärssystemet kan leda till flera fördelar för verksamheter då det kan öka flexibiliteten, skalbarheten och minska kostnader. Det blir bara fler verksamheter som väljer att gå över till det molnbaserade dock finns det vissa som arbetar kvar med det traditionella. Med utgångspunkt från detta är syftet med denna studie att se vilka aspekter det är som påverkar valet att gå från det traditionella affärssystemet till ett molnbaserat. För studien har tidigare litteratur studerats och intervjuer har genomförts för insamling av empiri. Tidigare forskning ligger till grund för det teoretiska ramverk som ligger till grund för de intervjufrågor som tagits fram. Det har intervjuats tre olika respondenter där alla har god förståelse kring ämnet och antingen arbetar i ett affärssystem eller arbetar som leverantör av dem. Det har främst ställts frågor kring de fem olika aspekter som vi anser varit betydelsefulla i denna studie. Men även frågor kring fördelar och nackdelar av de olika affärssystemen. Detta har krävts för att vi författare ska få en så god förståelse kring ämnet som möjligt. Utifrån det insamlade teoretiska material och empiri utfördes en analys där den tidigare litteraturen framfördes mot den insamlade empirin för att kunna få fram en helhetsbild över hur verksamheten förhåller sig kring ämnet och vilka aspekter det ser är betydande vid valet av affärssystem. Avslutningvis leder detta fram till en slutsats som presenteras med de allra mest väsentliga aspekter som har kommit fram i studien.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the world globally and the way humans conduct their work today. Face-to-face meetings have since before the pandemic been the most standard and effective way to do business, but due to the recommendations from the Swedish Public Health Agency workshops conducted by ERP-consultants does now have to be executed digitally. The transition from physical to digital meetings has imposed major challenges for consultants such as replicating the communication, lack of engagement and a higher risk for becoming fatigued. However, there is little to no research from an ERP-consultant's perspective on how to facilitate and conduct workshops as well as how it has now been affected by the ongoing global pandemic. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to gain an understanding of workshops conducted by ERP-consultants, comparing the process of a traditional workshop to digital workshops. In addition, understanding which strengths and weaknesses can be found with traditional and digital workshops. The study also aims to create guidelines that will help ERP-consultants to achieve higher quality in digital workshops. The data was gathered via semi-structured interviews with five ERP-consultants and was split into two stages; first stage aimed at identifying strength and weaknesses, further the second stage of interviews aimed at evaluating the created guidelines. From the interviews several strengths and weaknesses were identified, and the weaknesses acted as a foundation for the creation of the five guidelines. In conclusion, 1) there are strengths in traditional workshops that are lost in digital workshops, and 2) there are added strengths in digital workshops that could not be fulfilled in traditional workshops. Lastly, the study found that the traditional workshop and the face-to-face communication can not be fully replaced by the digital as it is human nature to connect and socialize with other people.

Today's organizations are characterized by digitization, development and growth. A wellimplemented ERP-system that match the processes of an organization can lead to a number of benefits. ERP-implementations and critical success factors are a well-researched area. Nevertheless, a great number of ERP-implementations are still considered as failures, which makes further research around the area considered relevant. This study aims to investigate what is critically related to important success factors in implementing ERP-systems. The study began with a literature study in which 15 scientific articles were reviewed, of which 69 success factors were identified. Of those, the six most common were selected as the basis for this study. In order to answer the purpose of this study, interviews were conducted with project managers who had a lot of experience from ERP-implementations. Using the results from these, as well as the collected theory, comparisons have been made between them. This, in turn, has resulted in a finding that communication is a key part of the entire ERP implementation and in all the critical success factors investigated in this study. Hence, the interaction between supplier and customer is seen as critical in ERP implementations, so they understand each other, have shared expectations and a realistic commitment to ERP implementation.

Affecting Usability During ERP Systems Implementations : A case study in a Medium-sized Swedish Company in the Rehab SectorPaulander, Adam January 2021 (has links)
An ever-increasing amount of people are using ERP systems daily, but the usability of these types of systems remains low. They are often complex and hard to use. End-users’ dissatisfaction with systems of low usability can result in the product becoming ineffectively used. Providers of ERP systems are the ones with the best possibilities to attend these usability issues, but there are possibilities for the customer to affect the outcome of the system’s usability during the implementation process. The first purpose of this study is to assess where different aspects of usability can be affected during the implementation process of ERP systems. Its second purpose is to create a framework to which a company’s current ways of working with usability during ERP implementations is assessed and addressed. In the study, a collection of previous studies in relevant fields was conducted. Primary empirical data was collected in three semi-structured interviews conducted via Zoom. Further empirical data was gathered via forms. The study showed from reviewing the literature that different aspects of usability can be affected during different phases of an ERP implementation process. It further found that the company in question did affect usability to an extent during their implementation process. However, some aspects of usability were not considered by the company when implementing ERP systems.
