Polyfunkční dům Křivánek / Multifunctional building KřivánekKajzarová, Monika Unknown Date (has links)
The aim of the master project is to design a mixed- use building in Brno – Žebětín. The project has three parts: architectural design of the building, HVAC design and HVAC performance simulation of kindergarten. The building is in shape of letter L. It has three floors and flat green roof. The building site includes a car park and playground. The building includes a kindergarten and flats. The ground floor is separated into two parts. First part includes the kindergarten, while the second includes entrance hall and the technical facilities for the flats in second and third floor. Both parts have separate entries. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from Porotherm ceramic blocks and the horizontal load-bearing structures from reinforced concrete slab. The HVAC includes gas condensing boilers as heat source and photovoltaics for electricity supply on the roof. The HVAC performance simulation of kindergarten is created in DesignBuilder software and includes analyses of internal environment. The project is elaborated in AutoCAD, Revit, Deksoft, BuildingDesign and DesignBuilder.

Energeticky úsporná budova mateřské školy Květinka / Energy-efficient "Floret" kindergarten buildingHajkr, Radek Unknown Date (has links)
The task of the master project is to design a single-storey kindergarten with flat extetensive green roof in Chvalčov. The building contains entrance hall, utility room, locker rooms, toilets, kitchen, school canteen, staff rooms, storage room and play rooms. The Building is divided into two similar parts. The vertical loadbearing structure is designing from ceramic blocks. The horizontal loadbearing structure is designed from reinforced concrete. The building is heated by a ground source heat pump supplying heat to floor heating. Another source of heat for the preparation of hot water and heat exchanger in the air handling unit is a gas condensing boiler. The heat pump in reverse operation cool the building via Fan-coil units. For air distribution is designed galvanized ducts and air handling units. The building uses photovoltaics to produce electricity for safe environment when using a renewable energy source and safe money when they no need buy energy from elektricity distribudion networks. The designs were elaborated in Revit, autocad and thermal assessment in Deksoft and similation 2018

This diploma thesis focuses on the design of a new kindergarten building located on a slightly sloping plot in Dubňany, South Moravia. Functionally it is possible to divide the kindergarten into three parts - administration, education and technical facilities. There are two classes, each for 24 for children, a separate common room and a pottery class. The total capacity of the kindergarten is 48 children. It is designed as a single-storey building with a green flat roof and without a basement. It is based on concrete foundation strips. Loadbearing mansory is made of sand-lime blocks, partitions are made of sand-lime blocks and aerated concrete blocks, ceiling is made of prestressed hollow core slabs. The walls are insulated with a combination of contact thermal insulation system and ventilated facade with facade cladding of fibre-cement board and timber cladding. Atypical round windows were use as a fun detail for the both classrooms and the common room.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the elaboration of project documentation for the construction of a kindergarten in Brno. The main entrance to the building is oriented to the north. The building is L-shaped and is designed as a two-storey, partly basement. There are 3 classes with a total of 72 children. External and internal load-bearing masonry of the above-ground floors is designed from ceramic blocks of thickness 300 mm. The basement masonry is then made of concrete blocks th. 300 mm cast in concrete. Internal non-load-bearing masonry made of ceramic blocks th. 115 mm. The insulation of the building is designed as a certified contact insulation system of EPS material. The horizontal load-bearing structures are designed as a ceramic prefabricated rib-and-filler floor with concrete grout. The stairs are designed as reinforced concrete monolithic. The roof is warm flat roof with an extensive vegetation layer.

This diploma thesis is focused on the design of a kindergarten and the processing of the design documentation for construction. The kindergarten is located on a large plot in a town Ostrava, an interface of boroughs Poruba and Třebovice. This object is free-standing with a partial basement. The building is divided into three functional objects – two single-storey parts and one double-storey part. There are two classes for the smallest children and a kitchen with a school canteen on the first floor. On the second above-ground floor there is a class for twenty-four children in early childhood. A class for pre-primary education and a principal’s office are also included. Vertical supporting structures in the above-ground floor are made of ceramic blocks Porotherm. In the basement there are reinforced concrete structures. Horizontal load-bearing structures are made of prestressed hollow core slabs Spiroll. The building is based on concrete strip foundations. Single-storey parts are roofed with a warm flat roof. The double-storey part is roofed with a cold flat roof with a timber truss girder. Close to the building there are two car parks – the first one is intended primarily for parents and teachers and the second one for personnel included cleaners and cooks.

The aim of the diploma thesis is processing of the design documentation for realization of the construction of a kindergarten in Havlíčkův Brod. It is a detached single-storey building that is functionally divided into three basic parts – the middle one, that contains a canteen with a preparation area and a serving hatch of food, and two connected side parts, left one and right one, each one of them is used as a classroom of the kindergarten with capacity up to 20 children for each class. The structural system of the building is created by a masonry system made of hollow bricks. The floor structure is designed of prefabricated prestressed concrete floor slabs, the roofing of the building is made of warm flat roof with extensive green vegetation covering. The external wall is supplied by ventilated facade which one is created by contact thermal insulation and by facade cladding of cement-bonded particle board. The building is set in a lightly sloping terrain.

Autism spectrum disorder in kindergarten and transitional kindergarten: Teachers' self-perceived ability to meet the needs of students transitioning from early intervention behavior therapy programsConklin, Shane P. 01 January 2016 (has links)
This qualitative multiple case study addresses kindergarten teachers’ and transitional kindergarten teachers’ self-perceived abilities to meet the needs of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who participate in early intervention behavior therapy (EIBT) programs. Systems thinking was used to examine the participants’ interactions with the school site-based and EIBT-based support systems within which they were expected to operate. Personal interviews conducted at three intervals during the first five months of the 2015-16 school year rendered three emergent themes: participants initially reported feeling more confident meeting the academic versus the social/behavioral needs of their EIBT students, but that position reversed for two participants during the course of the study; participants reported in-class support aides provided by EIBT agencies were superior to aides provided by their school districts, and; participants preferred having a single ‘go-to’ support person at their school site to having a robust, wide-ranging support system. Contains recommendations for establishing subsystems that foster inner- and intra-support system communication and raising ASD awareness.

A Phenomenological Study of Contributing Factors and Common Trends Related to Teacher Attrition in Western North CarolinaClarke, Preston 01 August 2022 (has links)
A phenomenological approach was used to identify contributing factors and common trends related teacher attrition by conducting interviews with teachers who decided to exit a North Carolina School District located in Western North Carolina. A qualitative approach allowed the researcher to gain valuable insight into the decision-making process of the 15 research participants. Data collection involved conducting one on one telephone interviews with participants by asking a series of open-ended questions that allowed for probing and follow-up questions. Analysis of researcher notes, evaluation of textual data produced by interviews, and observations allowed the qualitative investigator to identify emerging themes and patterns to answer the research questions. Family, spouse, job opportunity, money, and relocation were identified as contributing factors in the decision-making process of research participants to leave the North Carolina School district. Suggestions for future research include researchers working with school districts to develop an exit interview in the form of a quantitative research design to identify emerging themes and patterns related to teacher attrition. This will allow for the quick collection of data, and researchers will be able to conduct statistical analysis in a timely manner.
