Este trabalho é sobre gerenciamento de projetos no contexto da área de sistemas de informação, onde há características específicas e relacionamentos entre elementos tais como : tecnologia, processos de negócio, gerenciamento de mudança, comportamento humano e especificação subjetiva do produto . A taxa de fracassos em projetos de sistemas de informação permanece alta em comparação com outros projetos de tecnologia. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é contribuir para o conhecimento na área de gerenciamento de projetos de sistemas de informação, focando na investigação dos fatores de risco que podem influenciar no sucesso percebido de um projeto. Um dos desafios deste trabalho foi definir conceitos e medidas objetivas para avaliar os eventos associados com gerenciamento do risco e com o sucesso de projetos. Apoiado na revisão da literatura sobre o tema e em outras pesquisas similares, foi construído um instrumento com o qual diversas dimensões de risco e sucesso foram avaliadas em uma amostra de 180 projetos de sistemas de informação. Cada dimensão foi dividida em classes e cada classe foi detalhada em variáveis métricas em sua maioria. Depois da coleta e validação dos dados da amostra, foram aplicadas algumas técnicas estatísticas para analisar o comportamento das dependências entre fatores de risco e fatores de sucesso. A análise da direção e intensidade de influência de cada fator de risco para cada fator de sucesso reproduziu grande parte do conhecimento obtido da revisão da literatura, mas o nível de detalhe proporcionado pelo uso das técnicas estatísticas permitiu desvendar alguns aspectos que não eram facilmente perceptíveis. As conclusões apresentadas neste trabalho podem ser consideradas por gerentes de projeto que trabalham com produtos de tecnologia de informação, mais especificamente aqueles envolvidos com implantação e/ou desenvolvimento e sistemas de informação. Além disso, os resultados obtidos podem ajudar na elaboração de procedimentos práticos para metodologias de gerenciamento de risco, pois a lista de influências e dependências entre risco e sucesso é agora melhor conhecida, permitindo melhorias em políticas de gerenciamento de risco. / This research is about project management, especially in the context of information systems area, where there are specific characteristics and relationships among elements like : technology , business processes, change management, human behavior and subjective product specification. The rate of information system project failure remains high in comparison with other high-tech projects. The main objective of this research is to contribute to the knowledge in the area of project management, focusing in the investigation of risk factors that can influence on the perceived success of the project. One of the challenges was to define concepts and to conceive objective measures to assess the events associated with risk management and project success. Sustained in the literature and other similar researches, it was built a instrument with which several dimensions of risk and success were assessed in a sample of 180 information system projects. Each dimension was divided into classes and each class was detailed by variables composed by metric indicators in its majority. After the gathering and validation of the data sample, some statistical techniques were applied to talk over the behavior of dependencies between risk and success factors. The analysis of direction and intensity of the influence of each risk factor over each success factor has reproduced some knowledge from the literature and other researches, but the level of details that was able to get by the statistical techniques shed some light over some aspects that were unrevealed. The conclusions presented in this research can be considered by project managers who work with information technology products, more specifically those who work with systems information development or deployment . Besides, the analysis achieved in this work can help to create practical procedures for risk management methodologies, since the list of influences and dependencies of risk factor over success factors are better known, allowing improvements in a active risk management policy.

The master’s thesis deals with the use of fuzzy logic for evaluating the quality of suppliers of IT goods and other material for a selected company. The fuzzy model should facilitate decisions when selecting individual suppliers who should deliver goods for the implementation of IT projects. The model created in Microsoft Excel and MathWorks MATLAB should be helpful to the company's management and sales representatives.

<p>U okviru disertacije se ispituje mogućnost za unapređenje upravljanja projektima u konzervaciji i restauraciji kulturnog nasleđa. Kvalitativnim istraživačkim metodama ispitivani su rizici i izazovi sa kojima se susreću i kako njima upravljaju ovi izrazito multidisciplinarni i intersektorski projekti saradnje. Kao rezultat istraživanja i originalan naučni doprinos disertacije predložen je set preporuka za unapređenje upravljanja rizicima u projektima u konzervaciji i restuaraciji kulturnog nasleđa.</p> / <p>The dissertation examines the possibility of advancing project management in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. A survey was conducted in order to examine how increased complexity of cross-disciplinary setting influences project management challenges and risks in heritage conservation. As a research result and the original scientific contribution of the dissertation, a set of recommendations for advancement of project risk management in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage has been proposed.</p>

[pt] O gerenciamento de projetos de software enfrenta diversos desafios que devem ser superados ao longo do desenvolvimento para garantir seu sucesso. Diversas ferramentas e abordagens foram propostas na literatura para auxiliar gerentes de projeto com tais questões. Assim, propõe-se utilizar duas tendências promissoras da engenharia de software pouco exploradas nesse contexto, que consiste em desenvolver uma linha de produto de sistemas de gerenciamento de projetos baseados em agentes. O uso de linhas de produto de software permite derivar sistemas customizados segundo o tamanho do projeto. Entre os benefícios do uso de agentes tem-se a reconfiguração dinâmica do sistema a partir da exploração de suas características, como raciocínio e adaptação. / [en] Software project management faces several challenges that must be overcome throughout the development to guarantee its success. Many tools and approaches have been proposed in the literature to help project managers with these issues. Thus, it is proposed to use two promising software engineering trends barely exploited in this context, which consists of the development of a software product line of project management systems based on agents. The use of software product lines allows the derivation of customized systems based on the project size. Among the benefits of using agents it is included the system dynamic reconfiguration from the exploitation of their characteristics, such as reasoning and adaptation.

This thesis examines the applicability of cloud computing systems in project management. The main objective is the definition of the requirements on a project management software tool and their subsequent application in the specific area of cloud software providers. The theoretical part of the thesis studies the essential aspects of the principle of software provision services. The first part is dedicated to the history and general definition of the concept of cloud computing. The second theoretical part describes the basic principles of project management. Project management is not examined as a whole but instead, the emphasis is put on a specific area of human resources management. The theoretical part also contains the definition of the requirements, which are used as assessment standards for the practical part of the thesis. The practical part introduces an overview of 10 selected providers of cloud-based applications. The previously defined assessment standards are applied subsequently on each subject. The generated evaluation data are used to verify the defined hypotheses supporting the concept of cloud computing applications in project management.

This master´s thesis focuses on the design and realization of a property development project. This work describes the steps from the preliminary plan to the sale of an individual construction plot for construction. The primary objective of this master´s thesis is the evaluation of project efficiency.

Despite the social and non-profit character of the Third Sector companies, this segment also looks for best management practices focused on results. From this perspective, thinking about how management by projects can promote positive change by leveraging actions and resources, this work aims to explore, through a case study, what are the success factors of the projects in a Third Sector Company, on health sector, specialized in oncology, in a time frame of twenty two (22) months. Multiple evidence sources were used: analysis of historical documentation of four (04) projects of avarage and high complexity, observation and accompaniment of five (05) professionals at the implementation stage of a highly complex project, verification of qualitative research maturity’s results in projects and research of project’s portfolio, through the report of twenty (20) health and administrative professionals. In the academic area, several studies had as its study object the critical success factors of the projects. However, is still needed to explore the subject on health sector. / No atual cenário empresarial, em consequência da velocidade das mudanças e do dinamismo das informações no mundo contemporâneo, vem sendo amplamente discutido como as organizações podem responder de forma célere a esses movimentos e, assim, construir uma vantagem competitiva para assegurar a sustentabilidade dos negócios. Não obstante o caráter social e não-lucrativo das empresas do Terceiro Setor, esse segmento também caminha na busca de práticas de gestão baseadas em resultados. Nessa perspectiva, pensando em como a gestão por projetos pode promover mudanças positivas pela potencialização de ações e recursos, este trabalho tem como objetivo explorar, por meio de um estudo de caso, os fatores críticos de sucesso dos projetos em uma empresa do Terceiro Setor do ramo da saúde, especializada em oncologia, em um horizonte temporal de vinte e dois (22) meses. Foram utilizadas múltiplas fontes de evidências: análise da documentação histórica de quatro (04) projetos de média e alta complexidades, observação e acompanhamento de cinco (05) profissionais na fase de execução de um projeto de alta complexidade, verificação dos resultados da pesquisa qualitativa de maturidade em projetos e investigação do portfólio de projetos, através do relato de vinte (20) profissionais de saúde e administrativos. Na área acadêmica, diversos estudos tiveram como objeto os fatores críticos de sucesso dos projetos. No entanto, existe a necessidade de exploração do tema no ramo da saúde.

Nesse sentido, buscou situar o segmento museus de ciências como instituições importantes ao desenvolvimento de um Sistema Nacional de Inovação, bem como estabelecer a diferenciação entre o objeto de estudo e os demais museus de ciências, que em geral, comungam de uma mesma missão (guarda-chuva). Nessa análise foi possível identificar um conjunto de diretrizes, proposições e metas elaboradas para adequar o museu às estratégias corporativas. O modelo de gestão foi estruturado após análise dos principais modelos de gestão de portfólio. Sugere-se ao final para a implantação do modelo a criação de um Núcleo de Inovação Permanente para o Museu da Vida, o NIP-MV. / The present work had as objective the elaboration of a management model to line up the projects of the Museum of Life to the corporative strategies. The work sought to point out the segment of science museums as important institutions to the development of a National System of Innovation, as well as establishing the differentiation of the object study and the to other science museums, that in general, shares the same mission. In this analysis it was possible to identify a set directives, proposals elaborated and goals adjust the museum to the corporative strategies. The management model was structured analysis of the main models of portfólio management. It is suggested at the end for the implantation of the model the creation of a Nucleus of Permanent Innovation for the Museum of Life, the NIP-MV.

This Thesis looks at the current situation in the UNICORN a.s. company and analyses how the projects are managed in the company. The Thesis suggests recommendation for improvements in this field according to ČSN ISO 10 006 Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for quality management in projects.
