Návrh přesné napěťové reference v ACMOS procesu / Design of precise bandgap reference in ACMOS processKacafírek, Jiří January 2010 (has links)
In this thesis the principle of voltage reference especially bangap reference is described. Below are described two circuits of this type designed in ACMOS process. There is handmade evaluation of error analysis to identify main error contributors and also monte-carlo simulation. Also statistical analysis is made on the circuit. Results of all methods are compared. Error of reference voltage is compared for both circuits. Circuit with bigger error is optimized to achieve a better precision. Obtained results showed a good agreement of all methods, which evidences importance of hand error evaluation.

Hydromorfologie jako nedílná složka ekologického stavu vodních toků / Hydromorphology as a component part of ecological condition of water bodiesKujanová, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
Today, the study of fluvial-morphological processes is focused on evaluating hydromorfological status of streams and on proposing restoration measures. A fundamental prerequisite for assessing the current hydromorphological status of streams is establishing reference conditions for each stream type that serve as a benchmark and represent the target status after restoration. The aim of this thesis is to describe type-specific hydromorphological reference conditions for rivers on the territory of the Czech Republic with the help of determining river types, developing the REFCON method for establishing reference sites and recording characteristics of reference status. The approach to establishing reference sites is based on meeting the criteria of having minimal anthropogenic impact that are first assessed using cartographic data and subsequently verified through field survey. Parameters - altitude, sinuosity, and valley floor slope - for classifying river reaches into types were determined on the basis of the results of statistical methods applied on 3197 river reaches covering the whole territory of the Czech Republic. The classification of river reaches into 9 river types was verified through field survey at 44 sites. Detailed field survey and measurements of characteristics of natural channel...

A Combined Approach to Generate Age & Sex Dependent Reference Intervals in PediatricsVogel, Mandy 27 April 2018 (has links)
The presented thesis describes the historical evolution of growth and laboratory reference values and the methods for their creation – leading finally to a family of methods applied in the WHO Multicentre Growth Reference Study (MGRS). The following part describes these methods, their assumptions, and model diagnostics. The original article at the beginning of part III combines these methods with resampling to be able to use LMS -type methods on data containing different dependencies like follow-up measures and family relationships. This method has been applied in the estimation of reference values of several laboratory values in the context of the LIFE child study. Three papers are already published and are also presented.

The -go Morpheme and Reference Tracking in Jicarilla ApacheFerrin, Lee Shanideen 14 August 2023 (has links) (PDF)
Jicarilla Apache is a Southern Athabaskan language with a complex verbal structure, including a prefix template with positions for more than ten affixes. Little has been done to document or describe the language grammatically or typologically, but one of the morphemes that has been described in the literature is the suffix -go. The morpheme can be found in elicited speech as well as in narrations. This morpheme is one of the few verbal affixes that can appear after the verb stem and plays a role in many subordinate clause constructions. It has been described as a temporal marker, a feature of certain auxiliary verb constructions, a marker of habitual aspect, and a required part of causative constructions, among others. Such a wide variety of uses can make it difficult for language learners to know when this morpheme should be included. But there is one function that would account for all the previous descriptions and provide a simpler paradigm for funderstanding what triggers the presence of -go: namely, that of reference tracking. No referent tracking function of -go has been described, yet many of the functions of -go provided in the literature can also be explained as the result of a system of reference tracking. This thesis argues that Jicarilla features a reference tracking system that combines foregrounding functions with the features of switch reference, according to the definition of foregrounding found in Simpson (2004) and the definitions of switch reference found in van Gijn (2016a) and Stirling (1993). This is demonstrated by reviewing all the examples of -go in the available literature, including Goddard (1911), Jung (2002), and Phone, Olson, Martinez, & Axelrod (2007).

Previous issue date: 2009-08-30 / The lipid profile is a group of lab tests that include triglycerides, total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). However, serum non-HDL-C, Apo A-I and Apo B levels, as well as the lipids
ratios (TC/HDL-C, LDL-C/HDL-C and Apo B/Apo A-I), have been described as better predictors of cardiovascular diseases. Reference intervals are tools often used to
help the evaluation of the people s health state. These days, Brazilian studies still use the reference intervals of lipids and lipoproteins from other countries, ignoring
differences between the populations. Therefore, this study aimed to establish reference intervals for lipids, lipoproteins and apolipoproteins in adults of Rio Grande
do Norte/Brazil. Healthy individuals (96 men and 283 women) between 18 and 59years old formed the reference sample group. The samples were collected after
fasting 12 to 14 hours. Information on lifestyle and dietary habits of the participants were obtained through questionnaire. The serum glucose level and renal and liver
activity were evaluated by laboratory testing. The results of lipid profile were analyzed according to sex, age and mesoregion of Rio Grande do Norte, with significance level of 5% (p < 0,05). The lower and upper reference limits were identified by the 2.5 percentile and 97.5 percentile, respectively, and assurance intervals of 90% was calculated for each of these limits. Among the determinants of lipid profile analyzed, only a few significant differences were observed according to
sex, but in terms of age, the groups of smaller and older ages were most likely different. When evaluated by region, the means of West region shown the most
significant variations. Not many studies were useful to compare the reference intervals determined in this study. Thus, it becomes necessary to carry out similar
studies in other regions of Brazil and of the world given the clinical importance of reference intervals / O perfil lip?dico ? definido pelas determina??es laboratoriais dos triglicer?deos, do colesterol total (CT) e das fra??es do colesterol (HDL-C e LDL-C).

Westberg, Nathalie, Persson, Sara January 2015 (has links)
This study examines subjective occupational status and what factors influence and indicate subjective occupational status among employees in the municipal sector. The study also investigates if subjective occupational status has any significant connections with stress and worrying. The aim of this study is to examine if income, education, age, gender and length of employment has any significant effect on the subjective occupational status. We also aim to investigate if subjective occupational status affects the respondent’s levels of stress and worry. The material for the study was collected via a questionnaire with 268 respondents. The survey was done via the internet and sent out to the respondents via e-mail. We are utilizing the reference group theory in our analysis of the material. Reference group theory states that subjective social position is created by social comparison. Individuals tend to base their position in the social hierarchy and compare themselves with individuals who are similar to them. This leads to that many people places themselves as average. The results of the study show that it is only income which is affecting the subjective occupational status. We also found that subjective occupational status does not have any connections with stress apart from causing the respondents some worry over not having time to complete their work assignments.
