Kollektivtrafiken är en vital del för att ett samhälle ska fungera på ett effektivt sätt. Idag är det många personer som är beroende av att kollektivtrafiken ska fungera som utlovat för att exempelvis ta sig till arbetet eller för att få den vård de behöver. Kollektivtrafiken delas ofta upp i två genrer: den allmänna kollektivtrafiken och den särskilda kollektivtrafiken. Den allmänna kollektivtrafiken är bland annat den, som de flesta tänker på när de hör ordet kollektivtrafik, linjestyrda kollektivtrafiken. Kollektivtrafiken innefattar dock även bland sjukresor, skolskjuts och färdtjänst vilket inkluderas i den särskilda kollektivtrafiken. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka vilka förutsättningar som är nödvändiga för att en samplanering mellan den allmänna och särskilda kollektivtrafiken ska vara möjlig. Samt presentera vilka konsekvenser en ökad samplanering av kollektivtrafiken i Ludvika kommun skulle medföra. Med en teoretisk bakgrund, undersökningar av lämpliga metoder, den data Dalatrafik gjorde tillgänglig och genom intervjuer genomförda med Dalatrafik, Västtrafik och Kalmar länstrafik lades den kunskapsgrund som krävdes för att arbetet skulle kunna ta form. Materialet som erhölls utifrån intervjuerna och den informationen som kunde utläsas från Dalatrafiks data användes sedan för att beskriva hur kollektivtrafikssituationen såg ut för Ludvika kommun och utifrån detta nuläge identifierades förbättringsområden. Utifrån dessa förbättringsområden togs det fram åtgärdsförslag för att på ett konkret vis belysa möjliga tillvägagångssätt för att förbättra kollektivtrafikssituationen genom en ökad samplanering i Ludvika kommun. Slutligen diskuteras de resultat och åtgärdsförslag som tagits fram och även de förutsättningar som behövs för att en samplanering ska vara möjlig. Bland annat föreslås en utökning av flexlinjen och en justering av skolstarter. Dessutom ges förslag om hur Dalatrafik skulle kunna ta till sig detta examensarbete och fortsätta arbetet.

PostNord TPL manages the warehouse for BAUHAUS WEB, which has expanded since the start in 2011. PostNord TPL face the challenge of handling articles with different characteristics from BAUHAUS WEB's wide product range. In consultation with BAUHAUS WEB, PostNord TPL believes that the number of customer orders will continue to increase. PostNord TPL now wants to prepare for the spring of 2021 by identifying process improvements and efficiency proposals for inventory management. To understand the processes and identify the challenges within, a process mapping was done for the departments Delivery and Dispatch. Based on a workshop held during the thesis work, a need to relocate the items in the warehouse based on picking frequency was identified for Dispatch and a need for a correction for division of labor within Delivery. Division of labor concerns the activity logging of deliveries performed by a group leader. The items picked at the warehouse are picked according to different picking lists based on customer orders that vary from day to day. By examining the design of a picking list, it was possible to investigate if an ABC-classification would make the picking process more efficient. For storage areas with one customer order per picking list, the analysis showed that an ABC-classification favored the inventory management. The number of warehouse employees required to handle the increase in customer order during spring of 2021 was calculated with resource plans for Delivery and Dispatch. For the departments Delivery and Dispatch two resource plans each were made. The resource plan for Delivery considering logging of deliveries showed a marginal difference in number of employees. For Dispatch the resource plan considering the picking time reduction from the ABC-classification gave the least number of employees. PostNord TPL should carry out an ABC-classification to make the inventory management more efficient which contributes to fewer employees and affects the storage and refill of goods. A future study that this work can be followed up with, is to investigate whether and how the ABC-classification changes during the entire low season and the transition between high and low season.

This paper gives a thοrοugh lοοk in the use οf Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in search and rescue missiοns. The οbjective is tο identify, thrοugh a literature review, all types οf UAV, the available remοte sensοrs that can be mοunted in a UAV and what type οf data each sensοr prοvides, the methοdοlοgy οn flight planning and what is the regulatοry framewοrk, guidelines and limitatiοns, οf UAV flight in sοme οf the biggest cοuntries wοrldwide and in specific fοr the Eurοpean Uniοn and Sweden. Alsο, a brief research in the field οf machine learning was dοne in οrder tο identify the pοssibilities given in use οf οbject recοgnitiοn and avοidance techniques. In the case οf Sweden, we have alsο identified the framewοrk fοr the Search and Rescue οperatiοns accοrding tο the “Civil Prοtectiοn Act. Gοvernment Bill 2002/03:119. Refοrmed rescue services legislatiοn”, in whοse hands falls the respοnsibility tο use and implement UAVs in such type οf missiοns. The main οbjectives fοr future develοpment are the full autοnοmy οf a UAV, the energy limitatiοns in the οperatiοnal phase, the fast prοcessing οf data οnbοard and the acquisitiοn οf the data thrοugh cοmmunicatiοn links withοut the need οf a physical cοnnectiοn between the UAV and the grοund cοntrοl statiοn (GCS). Accοrding tο οur research the οptimal cοnfiguratiοn οf UAVs in a search and rescue scenariο is a fleet οf fully autοnοmοus heterοgeneοus UAVs (fixed-wing UAVs and quadcοpters) with sοlar panels attached tο the fixed-wing UAVs, a high-resοlutiοn camera, a thermal camera and a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). As the field οf UAVs is vastly grοwing the research οn the subject was cοnducted until April 1st, 2018 due tο new papers and research cοnducted in the subject regularly.

Abstract The thesis is a qualitative study of outsourcing and Insourcing/backsourcing. When developing strategies, managers need to decide between buying (outsourcing) or manufacturing (insourcing) various activities within the company. Outsourcing means that a company entrusts the management of activities and parts of the business to external suppliers and can be seen as an effective strategy for reducing costs and improving the company's flexibility. Backsourcing is a new trend and means that the company takes back activities that have previously been outsourced, mainly due to various contractual problems or to changes in the environment. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether backsourcing is an option for the case company. The purpose of the study is also to find out what types of costs resources and capabilities the case company will need in the backsourcing. The study primary informationwas collected via interviews. The method used was semi-structured interviews, conducted on site and remotely with five respondents from the company. The results of the study show that there are both pros and cons with outsourcing andbacksourcingstrategies. How and why companies were considering backsourcing was identified, as well as critical success factors specific to backsourcing, such as transaction costs, resources, knowledge, and capabilities. Based on the results and theory some analysis were made, such as the state the company is at the moment and changes that have happened in order consider its sourcing decision.
