[en] APPLICATION OF THE MODEL FOR SCM OF ARAGÃO TO SUPPLY CHAINS OF AN INDUSTRIAL GAS MANUFACTURER / [pt] APLICAÇÃO DO MODELO PARA SCM DE ARAGÃO NAS CADEIAS DE SUPRIMENTOS DE UM FABRICANTE DE GASES INDUSTRIAISMARCO AURELIO DILASCIO GUIMARAES 30 January 2007 (has links)
sucedida SCM. As
Brasileiro. Este
fabricante é considerado nesta dissertação como a empresa
focal da cadeia de
suprimentos. Cinco membros-chave desta cadeia são também
incorporados na
análise. Conclui-se que a empresa focal possui diferentes
formas de gerir a sua
cadeia em função de cada membro chave. / [en] The globalization of competition has forced the
organizations to seek and to
implement new forms to create competitive advantages.
Nowadays, as
competition occurs effectively between supply chains and
not between isolated
companies, SCM (Supply Chain Management) appears as a new
frontier to be
explored. Within this context, this dissertation has the
objective to apply the
model for SCM proposed in Aragão et al. (2004) to analyze
the supply chains
based on key-dimensions for a successful SCM. The key-
dimensions considered
in this model are: business process integrations,
identification of the supply chain
key-member, sharing of information and measures of
performance related to the
supply chain of an industrial gas manufacturer in the
Brazilian market. This
manufacturer is considered in this dissertation as the
focal company of the supply
chain. Five key-members of this chain are also included in
the analysis. As a
result the analyses, it is possible to conclude that the
focal company develops
different ways to manage its chain depending on each of
its key members.

[en] FREQUENCY SHARING BETWEEN UBIQUITOUSLY DEPLOYED FIXED SATELLITE SERVICE EARTH STATIONS AND STATIONS OF THE TERRESTRIAL SERVICES / [pt] COMPARTILHAMENTO DE FREQUÊNCIAS ENTRE ESTAÇÕES TERRENAS DO SERVIÇO FIXO POR SATÉLITE IMPLANTADAS DE MANEIRA UBÍQUA E RECEPTORES DO SERVIÇO FIXO TERRESTREERMINIO DA CAS NETO 23 March 2018 (has links)
[en] The growing interest in High-Density Fixed Service Satellite systems (HDFSS) has led to studies at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) aiming the development of a recommendation for guidance on its implementation in order to minimize interference affecting other telecommunications services. Such systems are of interest due to their flexibility in the ubiquitous deployment of small terminals, Without the need for coordination. In order to regulate the implementation of such systems, the Study Group 4 of the ITU Radiocommunication Sector, responsible for the fixed-satellite service, has developed and suggested studies aimed at creating a recommendation containing methodologies for frequency sharing involving earth stations (terminals) ubiquitously distributed. Thus, in 2003, at the World Radiocommunication
Conference of the ITU, specific frequency bands for HDFSS systems operation have been addressed, and most of the frequency bands identified are shared, on a primary basis, With the terrestrial fixed service systems (FS) and, for this reason, such studies for regulation and control of this share has become
important. The ITU main motivation for these studies is the analysis of the interference caused by the HDFSS systems deployed in a country, into the communication sevices of neighboring countries. In this scenario, this paper proposes a methodology for evaluating interference produced by a ubiquitously
distributed terminals into FS systems. This method aims at determining a coordination region, thus enabling terminals to be freely deployed outside this region, without producing unacceptable levels of interference into the FS receivers.

[en] SHARING AS A CONSUMPTION PRACTICE IN LOW-MIDDLE CLASS URBAN FAMILIES: AN INTERPRETATIVE STUDY / [pt] COMPARTILHAMENTO COMO PRÁTICA DE CONSUMO EM FAMÍLIAS URBANAS DE CLASSE MÉDIA BAIXA: UM ESTUDO INTERPRETATIVOBARBARA PAGLIARI LEVY 06 July 2016 (has links)
[en] This research investigates sharing as a consumption practice in Brazilian
low-middle class urban families. Given this purpose, the study adopts the
Consumption Culture Theory (CCT) interpretative perspective, using the extended
family residing in the same household as the unit of analysis. Sharing is an
everyday practice in the individuals lives in both public and private spheres.
Within the households, artifacts such as the refrigerator and its contents are
shared, as well as furniture, utensils, and physical spaces. Individuals share meals,
entertainment, and domestic chores. Outside the home, public spaces, commercial
spaces such as restaurants and cinemas, transportation, landscapes, and other
aspects of the physical world are all shared. Sharing within families is a social
phenomenon that, although it has always been a daily consumption practice, it has
practically been absent from studies on Consumer Behavior and related areas. The
theoretical framework is based on the Consumer Culture Theory, specifically on
the process of extracting meaning from consumption. The study used an
interpretative approach, based on in-depth interviews with different members of
the extended families. It followed the abductive method of systematic combining,
which is characterized by continuous comings and goings between the theory and
the field. This study contributes to increase the knowledge on consumption
practices in three main ways: i) by expanding the understanding of the
phenomenon of sharing, better outlining its conceptual and thematic borders; ii)
by studying the phenomenon in the context of the Brazilian extended family, as
opposed to the American nuclear family; and iii) by identifying specificities of
how the phenomenon manifests among low middle class urban families. New
categories emerged from the study to describe sharing, as well as comparative
elements between sharing and lending as consumption practices. The study
proposes a conceptual framework for the different types of sharing.

[pt] O COMPARTILHAMENTO DO CONHECIMENTO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS DE RAIZEIRAS DO CERRADO: UMA ANÁLISE DE PROCESSOS DE (RE)(DES)CONSTITUIÇÃO A PARTIR DE INTERCONEXÕES ASSIMÉTRICAS GLOBAIS / [en] THE SHARING OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MEDICINAL PLANTS OF WOMEN HERBALISTS OF THE CERRADO: AN ANALYSIS OF PROCESSES OF (RE)(DE)CONSTITUTION FROM GLOBAL ASYMMETRIC INTERCONNECTIONS05 January 2024 (has links)
[en] Herbalists from the Cerrado of Brazil have organized themselves around a
political and socio-environmental network, the Articulação Pacari, since 1999, from
a process marked by tensions and asymmetries between interrelated claims of rights
over "traditional medicine", identity, access to knowledge and "biodiversity" made
by these subjects and the expansion of dynamics of ownership of knowledge and
life. This research reflects on processes of (re)(de)constitution of the sharing of
knowledge about medicinal plants of herbalists, at the interface with global
connections. To achieve this central objective, it first discusses how the dynamics
of the ownership of knowledge and life are constructed, such as the interrelations
between patent, biomedicine and material property, from an interdisciplinary
theoretical approach. Secondly, it analyzes the process of creation of the Articulação
Pacari from its local, regional and global relations. Third, it investigates political,
normative and social dynamics of identity construction of herbalists members of
the Articulação Pacari from a daily life and life stories perspective. Fourth, it
discusses theoretical and conceptual aspects of the interrelationships between
identity, sharing and appropriation of knowledge of medicinal plants, and care.
Finally, it analyzes the dynamics of the constitution of the sharing of knowledge
about medicinal plants of herbalists members of the Articulação Pacari also from a
daily life and life stories perspective. The research employs qualitative and
interdisciplinary approach and uses primary (norms, documents, interviews,
participant observation, images) and secondary sources (academic literature). It is
argued that the forms of sharing of knowledge and practices around medicinal
plants of herbalists have been (de)(re)constituted in a heterogeneous and strategic way, based on interrelationships of gender, class, race, ecology, faith and care. The
research thus contributes to the understanding of how processes of claiming rights
and ways of life of herbalists are affected by the global expansion of the ownership
of knowledge and life and how these dynamics generate possibilities for
epistemological and ontological reconstruction.
