School canteens can significantly influence children?s eating habits and can demonstrate them perfectly good principles in food selection. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the interest of school management and pupils? parents in the introduction of organic food in school canteen menus. The questionnaire survey was targeted at primary school and their school canteens that lie in the statutory city of České Budějovice and its immediate surroundings.

The central aim of my thesis is to compare the objectives of the concept of Waldorf education since the foundation of the education until the present time. At the beginning the thesis deals with Rudolf Steiner, who founded thiseducational system almost one hundred years ago. Here its aim is to represent the basic ideas of Steiner, which later served as a basis of Waldorf education and became popular worldwide. Development of Waldorf schools worldwide, especially in the Czech Republic, is another part of the thesis. Furthermore, I compare the aims of Waldorf educational concept at the beginning and today. I describe changes that have occurred mainly in the Czech Republic, but I could not omit changes abroad. In my thesis I try to capture the positives and negatives of Waldorf schools compared to traditional schools.

Analysis of the secondary education in the Vysočina Region in context of demographic development Abstract The aim of this thesis is to show the link between the demographic development and the development of the educational system, particularly on the example of the demographic development of the Vysočina Region and its impact on the secondary education in this region. The Vysočina Region was chosen because it is characterized by numerous specifics that distinguish it from other regions (e.g. a large number of small municipalities, rural and traditional characteristics of the region and lower education attainment of the population). Firstly, the current demographic development of the region is evaluated, secondly the development of the educational system is evaluated in its context. Afterwards, we examine the development of the number of secondary schools, the structure of their fields of education and their territorial distribution in the region. We also evaluate the current capacity of the secondary schools. The core of the analysis is the creation of derived forecast of the number of pupils in the various districts of the region through the use of rates of participation in secondary education in the districts. This document deals with the private enterprise in the field of early childhood education and child care. Summarizes the various possibilities and forms of these institutions, which can currently be found in the Czech Republic, discusses their attributes. The aim is to draw attention to important facts and pitfalls related to the establishment and operation of private nursery schools to be included in the register of schools and school facilities. The work includes an internal analysis of strengths and weaknesses and the external analysis just as micro /macroenviroment political, environmental, socio-demographic, economic and legislative framework. This diploma thesis "Development of model of goals, instruments and performance indicators for digital advertising campaigns for universities" deals with the issue of marketing commu-nication and is specifically focused on advertisement of higher education in the Czech repub-lic. Theoretical part examines goals of marketing communication, instruments of digital adverti-sing campaings and their performance indicators. In practical part, this knowledge is further modified to suit the specific segment of higher education and there is created a model of goals, instruments and performance indicators. This model is then used as a base for analysis of the digital campaign Buď dobrej!, which had been made for the University of economics in Prague, specifically for the Faculty of informa-tics and statistics. Using the results from the previous analysis, we made practical recommendations, which further expand the model created in the practical part.

The diploma thesis deals with the age category of children which are under three years old and their potential to be accepted to nursery schools in this region. The thesis generally summarizes all the current knowledge about that if is it possible to place the children of this age into pre-school institutions and under what conditions. This master thesis "Undergraduates establishing their families in the context of the family policy in the Czech Republic" offers a new view upon a dilemma of college-educated women within the Czech society in establishing their families - it is focused on the parenthood strategy during the university studies. The thesis provides analysis of both positive and negative aspects of the parenthood decision and it investigates what sort of support is given to the undergraduate mothers in the Czech Republic. Measures that could be introduced to the framework of family policy in order to create suitable conditions for the undergraduates establishing their families during the studies are proposed. Subjective views of seven respondents, describing their life as an undergraduate mothers, are included in the analytical part to help approach the undergraduate parenthood strategy development. The key underlaying basis for this thesis is the assumption that undergraduate parenthood could be a suitable life strategy for a number of women undergraduates, should the government support improve.

Theme of the diploma thesis is architectural study of school buildings in Ostrava. It combines a kindergarten, primary and secondary school – a grammar school. The school is situated next to the cultural cluster Černá louka in Ostrava – the new designed cultural center of the city, and also on the bank of the river Ostravice. The main idea is adaptation of the scale of school spaces due to children of a different age, an orientation of classrooms to south-east and at the same time to the river bank. The kindergarten is separated from service and volume of the school, the primary school and the grammar school are united in one two- and three-store building with an inner yard. The buildings are accessible for pupils from an entrance square near Černá louka, the entrance for public is situated on the new designed street connecting Černá louka and Nová Karolina. The complex offers also sport facilities, a gym, a swimming pool and exterior sport ground which is accessible from the cycling track along the river Ostravice. The exterior look of the buildings is based on the construction, the reinforced concrete structure from white architectural concrete, and is animated by shading panels from corten sheets.

The location of Černá louka is situated between the city-centre of Moravská Ostrava and an area of Slezská Ostrava next to the confluence of two rivers – Ostravice and Lučina. The development at the building site of Černá louka is a result from an international competition 2010, which winner was the project Culture Meadow from studio Maxwan. The main idea of the project is to concentrate cultural and educational buildings around a culture meadow. This design has been used as a default situation for the master´s thesis. The complex of schools is situated at the parcel of existing Miniuni-site between cultural cluster Černá louka and the residential quarter Nová Karolina. The volume of the school with its front-spaces reacts to the surrounding structures. In the middle of the complex arises a half-public open space, where are located the internal entrances. Because of the placing of the school next to the city-centre the multifunctional pitch is situated on the roof of the gym. The design of the school respects principles of the age differentiation just as the horizontal integration. That´s why the substance makes up a symbiosis of 5 parts - common space, gym, first and second level, gymnasium. These parts are connected together and at the same time enable to use individual parts separately. The building of kindergarten with its garden is separated from the school because of differential needs of the smallest children.

This thesis is focused on learning texts reading comprehension of pupils in primary schools for hearing impairment pupils in comparison with primary schools pupils of mainstream education, in connection with the textbooks. The whole issue is put into the theoretical framework of reading literacy and teaching texts information. Specifically, there is a reading literacy in the concept of international studies, and also a brief overview of the findings drawn from the textbooks, their functions, research, evaluation and comparison. The comparison of the concept of primary school textbooks for the hearing impaired with textbooks for mainstream schools through standardized assessment tools is included too. In this thesis, there is a research of learning texts comprehension for pupils from 3rd to 9th (or 10th) years of primary schools for the hearing impaired and analogous grades of primary school pupils of mainstream education. The research design is based on Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS), one part of this research is translated into Czech sign language.
