I presupposed from formulation of the paradigms using theoretical concepts of public policy, education and management to practical analyses Project phases. I put the cardinal emphasis on the implementation phase, which I remeted to research. I evaluated the Project implementation as extraordinary successful on the base of outputs of expert interwiews, focus group and questionnaire within a scope of the research. I tried to compare this Project with another one, similar project settled in any other Member Strate of the European Union. I reached that similar projects in other Member States have not been realized, the only comparable one was Portugese Project in the programming period 1994 - 1999 focused on increasing competitivness of students of high schools. This finding led to conclusion that the Project realized at BUT was unique and its successful realization could be considered as a leading case in the area of Structural Funds of the European Union in the Czech Republic.

Prevence šikany na základních školách / Prevention of bullying in elementary schoolsHerák, Robert January 2014 (has links)
In my diploma thesis I analysed the success of the implementation of the policy on the prevention and solution of bullying at primary schools in the Czech Republic. I was based on the theory of implementation and street level bureaucracy. The hypothesis for the success of the implementation of this policy is the acceptance of schools, teachers, and the Director of the schools. To analyze the success of the implementation of the policy on the prevention and solution of bullying, I took advantage of the available professional literature, I've analyzed the current documents, which shall submit to the Ministry of Education (for example Methodological guideline for the prevention and solution of bullying), I have used the knowledge from the survey, focus groups and regular meetings of Directors, which realizes the company SCIO. I graduated five structured interviews with Directors of elementary schools. In the next section, I focused on the quantitative research, survey for the Director of elementary schools. I focused on the Director of elementary schools, because they are the key actors for the implementation of educational policies and have enough information about the everyday school practice. The first section of the quantitative research deals with the education of teachers in schools the issue of...

Historie nerovných příležitostí v USA: Segregace hispánských dětí ve školách / Historie nerovných příležitostí v USA: Segregace hispánských dětí ve školáchVeselková, Eva January 2015 (has links)
A History of Unequal Opportunity in the U.S. Segregation of Latino School Children Half a century has passed since the U.S. Supreme Court famously stated that separate educational facilities are inherently unequal. After all this time, separate facilities are still the reality and they are still unequal. This thesis examines the educational experience of Latino children in the United States from the twentieth century up to the present, with the main focus on the area of the American Southwest. The history of Latino school segregation is examined from the legal perspective, focusing on the significant court cases in which Latinos fought against segregation and for equal educational opportunities. A special attention is paid to Mendez v. Westminster federal court case, which has ended de jure segregation of Latinos after the World War II. While the topic of school segregation in relation to Latinos is often overlooked by professional literature and little known to the public, it is very important as Latinos represent one fourth of all public school children in the United States today. This paper concludes that, because of school segregation, the educational history of Latinos in the United States is one of unequal opportunity. Moreover, the educational opportunities of Latino children remain...

Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague Institute of Sociological Studies, Department of Sociology Bc. Richard Lukáš Obstacles of improvement in pre-graduate teacher education: qualitative case study of faculty of education (Master Thesis) Consultant: doc. PhDr. Arnošt Veselý, Ph.D. Prague 2016 Abstract Institutional and organizational context of teacher training on faculties of education is not sociologically well developed topic, even though it is essential topic for the future of society. The goal of this work is to explore where are obstacles of improvement of teacher training on faculties of education in Czech Republic. I answer this question through the case study of a selected Czech faculty of education. I discovered several obstacles of improvement of teacher training by realizing interviews with faculty heads; analyzing the frames, which they use for framing their experiences with the obstacles; and analyzing the institutional context of teacher training on the selected faculty (intervention heuristic investigation). In the institutional view, the main obstacles are several external factors (e.g. state funding, role of Accreditation Commission etc.); specific history of teacher training in Czech Republic; structure of the faulty and organization of the studies there; and the...

Legal and biblical standards; service and pastoral work at church schools. Praha 2010DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Eva January 2010 (has links)
Presented master thesis deals with description of the gradual development and positions of the church schools in CR during the last 20 years. These schools are then complemented by the schools of theology at CR universities. This thesis is in a certain way a continuation of a bachelor thesis, successfully defended in 2007 at the School of Education of Charles University. The thesis describes in brief the history of education and pedagogy in general, church schools including. Then there are specified all the pertinent valid legal regulations for operation of church schools based on experience of the author from a managerial position of such a school for many years. The role of the general management and management of human resources on one side and the theological reflection of the church schools on the other side is discussed. In detail, the equipment of the facilities and their economy is analyzed as well as the goals and calling of these schools. In a wide spectrum of opportunities open to church schools in 21st century their potential can be used through new and fresh methods for evangelizing, mission and pastoral care.
