Formy spolupráce rodiny a školy na počátku školní docházky / Forms of family and school colaboration in primary school

The thesis deals with the process of building up partnership between family, school and the class teacher at the very beginning of school attendance and the possible forms it can take. The theoretical part describes both, the family and school, as an educational institution, defines these concepts from the legislative and pedagogoical point of view. It proceeds further with showing the historical development and its logical continuation in contemporary tendencies to build up the relationship between family and school, which can happen in two ways; the first possibility is to view the position of the teacher as the dominant person in the process, another possibility is democratic, humanistic, child-oriented. The latter attitude is presented as "Step by step" (literally "Staring together"in the Czech usage). The empirical part brings up the author's actual research work, suggesting strategies and possibilities of partnership between parents and school, in the alternative offer of activites devised to involve the family into the educational process. The parents can choose according to their actual possibilities. The diploma thesis deals with the application of Japanese fairy tales in drama education lessons at Primary school. The goal of the thesis is to consider the suitability of Japanese fairy tales in the drama education lessons. The thesis is devided into the theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part I deal with a brief theory of fairytales. The second chapter is about Japanese fairy tales. The classification of Japanese fairy tales is described and there are also some examples. The third chapter is about fairy tales in the drama education. The practical part serves to verify the goals of the diploma thesis. Four Japanese fairy tales, in which drama education methods and techniques were used, are processed and reflected. All the lessons were realised at Primary school.

The diploma thesis The Bible and Its Adaptations for Children addresses the question of the quality of children's Biblical adaptations. It aims to compile a comprehensive set of criteria based on relevant literature which children's adaptations should meet. These criteria should become a practical tool for primary school teachers to make it easier for them to select quality stories for their lessons. The entire first chapter is devoted to the Bible and should serve as a general knowledge base of the book. The second chapter describes children's literature in terms of its specifics and psychological characteristics of young readers. A special place in this chapter belongs to myth (as one of the essential biblical genres) and the Bible itself, and the examination of their place in children's literature. The chapter on children's literature also includes a section the aim of which is to explain the role of illustration in children's books and to remind us of its crucial position in children's literature. The following chapter deals with the term adaptation, first from the general literary point of view, and then it focuses on the child recipient and the peculiarities of adapting the Bible. (in English) In the text of this diploma thesis, the author deals with the realization of healthy lifestyle education within the family and the school. Firstly, this thesis sorts accessible information about health and a healthy lifestyle. It looks into the family and school environments, their interaction, and the possibilities to a healthy lifestyle. It describes the main principles of the "Healthy School" program, a health support program, in the following areas: environment, healthy teaching and learning, and open partnership. The aim of the thesis was to determine whether the elementary school Lesní in Liberec still employs the Healthy School program, which it has been involved in since 2002, for its healthy lifestyle teaching. Structured observation via observation sheets, in-depth interview and school documents analysis were used in the case study. The findings are stated in the practical part of the thesis which brings a real perspective on the healthy lifestyle education on the particular school and the issues that may be connected with it.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of education of pupils with a different mother tongue in the Czech Republic; the target group are children in the age of compulsory education (approx. age 6 to 15), the target location is Prague. The topic is elaborated from the perspective of the actors of language management - state institutions, elementary schools and non-profit organizations. In the theoretic part, those subjects are characterized; the focus concentrates on the current legislation, the possibilities of funding of teaching Czech as a second language, the methodical support from the state. Non-profit organizations are characterized more in detail and their general role in civil society is explained. The practical part of the thesis describes and analyses the current situation: it identifies problems each actor is dealing with and mostly it captures their positions in the system and mutual interaction. The structure of this part is based on the activities of the non-profit organizations - their offer of the extracurricular, language-education courses for pupils with a different mother tongue, support of elementary schools and people working with this target group as well as communication with the Ministry of Education and active effort to improve the current support. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and provide a summary of the existing knowledge and teachers' attitudes regarding the usage and sources of interactive electronic learning materials in primary schools. Furthermore, the thesis compares the theory with real-life experience. The theoretical part introduces the current sources and possibilities of the use of interactive electronic learning materials in primary schools. Moreover, it defines the interactive electronic learning materials and the implementation of modern technologies in education. The research part analyses the opinions of the teachers and the challenges they perceive in the incorporation of interactive electronic learning materials into their teaching. Furthermore, it supports the theory with the practical application of interactive electronic learning materials in various primary school subjects. The concluding part confronts the theoretical knowledge with the practical experience. This diploma thesis deals with the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases in children and their prevention. It briefly describes the influenced risk factors of these diseases and the prevention of their occurrence. It also focuses on preventive programs of cardiovascular diseases in our country and in the world and describes them in more detail. It also provides an overview of current biology textbooks for the lower-secondary school and their evaluation based on whether and to what extent they deal with the issue of cardiovascular diseases. The aim of the thesis is to create a program directed at the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in children at the lower-secondary school, to use it in practice at a selected lower-secondary school and to evaluate its effectiveness in a subsequent questionnaire.

The thesis named "Opinions of opinions of contemporary mothers on the upbringing and education of children up to three years " examines and describes the services of day care centres for children up to three years in the Czech Republic in context with the family policy of our country and the Barcelona aims. Contemporary education possibilities of children up to three years in the selected states of EU in connection with their respective family policy are outlined too. The thesis also includes a research investigation of problematic questions concerning the upbringing and education of children up to three years, whose aim was to determine the concrete opinions and attitudes of the examined group of 75 mothers with children up to three years towards the family and non-family care in the region of Mladá Boleslav and its surroundings. It also examines which options of the children early care are used by mothers most often and what are the reasons behind. In the practical part of the thesis the general awareness of mothers about the options of the day care for children up to three years, including the personal attitude towards the nursery, was established.
