Darbe aptariama ekonomikos, verslo ir finansų žurnalistikos samprata, problemiškas terminijos vartojimas. Pristatomos skirtingos specializacijos atmainos, ekonominės tematikos ribas formuojančios temų kategorijos. Apžvelgiama verslo žurnalistikos raida, atsiradimo prielaidos ir vystymosi tendencijos pasaulyje ir Lietuvoje, sąryšis su aprašomuoju objektu. Išskiriama verslo žurnalistikos specifika: reikalavimai verslo žurnalistams, augantis ekonominės tematikos naujienų poreikis, įtaka sprendimų priėmimui. Nagrinėjamos pagrindinės ekonomikos temų nušvietimui būdingos problemos – teorinio pagrindo silpnumas, ekonominės informacijos suvokimo barjerai, žurnalistų profesionalizacijos, rašinių kokybės klausimai, kapitalo interesai ir įtaka turinio kokybei. Praktinėje darbo dalyje įvairiais aspektais tiriamas ekonominių temų pateikimas nacionaliniuose dienraščiuose „Lietuvos rytas“ ir „Lietuvos žinios“ 1998 metų Rusijos krizės ir 2008 metų pasaulio ekonomikos krizės pradžioje. Darbas paremtas kiekybine ir kokybine turinio analize. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad ekonominei tematikai laikraščiai skiria mažiau dėmesio nei politikai, kriminalams ar sportui, o panašiai kaip kultūrai ar regionų naujienoms. It also introduces to the variety of specializations as well as categories of themes that form the ambit of economic topic. The paper reviews the development of business journalism, background and development tendencies in the world and Lithuania, as well as relation to the descriptive subject-matter. The distinguished specifics of business journalism are as follows: requirements for business journalists, increasing need for economy news, impact on decision-making. The paper also covers the research on the main problems, characteristic to coverage of economic topics – weakness of theoretical basis, economic information perception barriers, professionalism of the journalists, composition quality matters, capital interests, and impact on quality of the content. The practical part of the paper covers different aspects of research on presentation of economic topics in the national daily newspapers Lietuvos rytas and Lietuvos žinios in the beginning of the Russian financial crisis in 1998 and global economic crisis in 2008. The paper is maintained with the quantitative and qualitative content analysis. Darbe aptariama verslo žurnalistikos genezė pasaulyje, analizuojamos jos atsiradimo prielaidos bei vystymosi tendencijos. Apžvelgiami Lietuvos verslo leidiniai nuo pat jų atsiradimo iki šių dienų. Plačiau aptariama verslo žurnalistikos ideologija – santykis su viešuoju interesu, pagrindinės funkcijos, žurnalistų profesionalizacijos problemos bei nevieningas terminijos vartojimas. Pristatoma jos sąveika su praktika – čia analizuojami verslo žurnalistikos, kaip galios įrankio poveikiai, kapitalo įtaka verslo leidiniams, leidėjams bei verslui skirtų leidinių funkcijų kitimas – komercializacija. Praktinėje darbo dalyje atskleidžiamas verslo leidinių komercializacijos mastas bei verslo organizacijos UAB „AG Group“ pozicionavimas juose. Darbas paremtas kiekybiniais ir kokybiniais tyrimais. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / This master thesis presents the genesis of business journalism, also known as economic or financial journalism. The main discussion concerns the ideological principles of business journalism – relations with public interest, problematical questions about the professionalization of journalists and the use of terminology. The result of interaction between ideology and journalism - businees journalism is presented like a tool of power in the media field. The negative influence of capital to publications and publishers, media commercialization and the radical change of journalism functions are the main goals of discussion in this chapter. The investigative part of the thesis contains quantitative and qualitative analysis. In the first one there are analized four business-oriented publications: „Verslo žinios“, „Versus“, „Verslo klasė“ and „Valstybė“. The analysis presents different aspects of positioning an international company „AG group“. The qualitative analysis is made with help of an deep-cored interview with the employess of the communication department of the company. The results unveils us large scale of things like main strategies, goals of the communication department. The result of the investigation - the main themes in the publications are commercial and they are not objective. The goals of department of public communication differs from those, which are presented in the business media. The company affects the business media.

Persvaze neverbálních prostředků v současné žurnalistice / Persuasion of Nonverbal Devices in Contemporary Journalism

Medial communication was and still is very important in society. Until recently was the most important type of media communication the journalistic. In 20th century appears the television broadcasting phenomenon, that among others influences the prezent form of journalistic. Expressive changes are in verbal representation and graphic prezentation of informations, we note the shift of using the means, that are press media trying to impact on recipients. This research is focused on the characteristic of nonverbal means of persuasion. The objective is description of the influence over readers in current tabloids and quality newspaper. The base of the research is the analysis of 348 newspapers, collected from october 2006 to october 2007. Subsequently the comparsion of nonverbal means of persuasion was done in 4 czech nationwide newspapers. The research is focused mainly on type characteristic and frequency of these means in each periodical and their mutual comparision.

Mírový versus válečný žurnalismus: etické aspekty reportování o mezinárodních konfliktech / Peace versus war journalism: ethic aspects of reporting international conflict

This thesis deals with the ethical aspects of reporting wars and conflicts. First of all, it defines the ethical principles in journalism and the ethical dilemmas that journalists face in the war as well as the rules enshrined in the ethical codes of the media. Afterwards it focuses on the specifics of international conflict reporting and defines two ways to deal with it. These are, as the title suggests, war journalism, which emphasizes violence, the aspects of warship itself and the elites, and peaceful journalism, which focuses on civilians, deescalation of violence, and peace-related solutions. In the practical part, this work aims to find and define individual signs of peace and war journalism in reporting of global news media. Finally, the characteristics of these two approaches undergo a comparative analysis to find out what ethical rules apply to these approaches and what extent they differ. Analyzed media are Reuters and AFP news agencies and the British print media and their internet versions The Guardian and The Telegraph. Selected conflicts include the 2008 South Ossetian war and the Pillar of Defense, a conflict in the Gaza Strip dating back to 2012.

The thesis deals with the presence of the technology team in various types of newsrooms of investigative journalism. The aim of the work is to find out the degree of representation of the technological component in the Slovak and Czech newsrooms. In case of their absence to find out the work process of journalists in more technologically demanding tasks. The theoretical part introduces the basic terminology of this field and this part is based on the data from quantitative study from 2019 conducted under the auspices of the ICFJ. In the practical part, qualitative research will be carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with representatives of selected newsrooms.

The thesis The use of language in modern internet journalism in comparison with print focuses on use of language in texts on the Internet and in print media. The texts which were selected for exploration are movie reviews. The theoretical part describes the terms used in the work (film review, internet journalism, etc.). It also tries to clarify the issue of Internet publishing and the differences between online publishing and printed media. It then briefly describes the history of the Internet and its establishment as a counterpart to the printed media. It also deals with the description of the media from which the texts were sourced. The practical part presents the results of the analysis. The work compares the differences in texts published on the Internet and in printed media, as well as the advantages of online publishing - with all the potential of hypertext. The concluding part of the work evaluates whether the researched articles are different and how.

Úspěchy zlínského hokejového klubu ve vybraných médiích / Successes of the Zlín ice-hockey club as reported in chosen media

This diploma thesis deals with the media presentation of three chosen successes the Zlín ice-hockey club has achieved since the 1990s. The practical part is constituted by a quantitative content analysis that studies three different types of newspaper and their online counterparts (a community paper the Zlínský deník, online at: zlinsky.denik.cz, a national paper with a developed regional supplement the Mladá fronta dnes, online at: idnes.cz and a national paper the Právo, online at: sport.cz) in three periods of time (the Czech ice-hockey league finals in 1995, 2004 and 2014). The analysis studied 873 media articles in total. In general, the extent of coverage increased strongly between the years 1995 and 2004. The coverage of the finals by the community media was the most detailed, just as supposed. Quite surprising was the extent of coverage by the Mladá fronta dnes that was larger than expected. The core of sports reporting didn't really change across time, titles or information channels. The news, stories and game evaluations comprised the biggest part of the coverage. But it was the form of reporting that kept changing. The most observable trends were the growth of visual content in time and the increasing position of the Internet. Especially in 2014, its usage was quite extensive.

Magistro darbo objektas – Lietuvos interneto žiniasklaida. Darbo tikslas –– išanalizuoti Šiaurės Kaukazo regiono konfliktų (1996–2008 m.) vaizdavimo ypatumus Lietuvos internetinėje žiniasklaidoje, taip pat nustatyti, kurios – į taiką, ar į karą orientuotos žurnalistikos principus atitinka šis konfliktų vaizdavimas. Pagrindiniai darbo uždaviniai: Remiantis moksline analizuojamų sričių literatūra, išnagrinėti karinių konfliktų vaizdavimo žiniasklaidoje prielaidas, esamas karo žurnalistikos tendencijas ir kryptis, aptarti interneto žiniasklaidos ypatumus; žvelgiant per tarptautinės teisės prizmę, išanalizuoti Šiaurės Kaukazo regiono karinių konfliktų ypatumus, aprašyti jų sąsajas; remiantis pirmojoje darbo dalyje pateikta medžiaga, empiriškai ištirti konfliktų vaizdavimo Lietuvos internetinėje žiniasklaidoje tendencijas. Mindaugas Savickas The subject of this scientific research work is Lithuania’s internet media. The objective is to analyze the features of Lithuanian Internet media coverage of the North Caucasus conflicts (1996–2008). Also to estimate which journalistic principles – peace oriented or violence oriented – this media coverage of conflicts involves. The main goals of the research are: while using the scientific literature of the topics involved, to analyze the background in which the representation of military conflicts is made and to look at the tendencies and trends of war journalism, as well as the features of internet media; to discuss the properties of the conflicts in the North Caucasus region in regard to principles of international law and to characterize the links between them; to explore empirically the tendencies of the military conflict representation in Lithuania’s internet media considering the material given in the first part of this research work. The dissertation analyzes the iReporter project, which allows viewers to become involved in Czech Television broadcasting. The dissertation is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with participatory (citizen) journalism, both abroad and in the Czech Republic. I attempt to outline the history and present of public involvement in the production of news, with a focus on TV- related participatory journalism and Czech Television in particular. The dissertation describes the way in which viewers became increasingly involved in TV broadcasting over time, be it in movies, TV series, entertainment programs or news reporting. I also explain how television began to utilize new media, mobile journalism and social networks, all of which brought it much closer to its viewers. The theoretical study is followed by a practical part focused on the iReporter project. For example, it provides information about the people in charge of the project, the number of participating contributors, the process a video takes to get on the screen, the regions with the most active iReporters and the programs/shows which use their videos the most. Šiandieninė visuomeninė vis dažniau susiduria su technologinėmis naujovėmis. Kažkada neįsivaizduojami technologiniai stebuklai, kaip antai, radijas, televizija, kompiuteris, tapo realybe. Šiuolaikinės technologijos pranoksta visuomenės lūkesčius. Pamažu visuomenė įeina į naują skaitmeninę erą. Šių dienų informacija ir žinios žmones pasiekia akimirksniu. Tradicinės žiniasklaidos žengimas į skaitmeninę erą atvėrė vartus į staigų naujos informacijos perdavimą, virtualų bendravimą, artimesnę sąsają su visu pasauliu. Lietuvoje skaitmeninėmis technologijomis, jomis perduodama tekstine, garso bei vaizdo informacija vis labiau domimasi. Skaitmeninės eros žurnalistika yra aktuali, nauja ir mažai nagrinėta tema Lietuvoje. Tai parodo ir itin skurdus lietuvių literatūros sąrašas apie skaitmeninę mediją. Žengdami pirmuosius žingsnius skaitmeninėje eroje, turime plačiau su ja supažindinti ne tik skaitmeninės eros vartotojus, t.y. jaunąją kartą, bet ir vyresniąją kartą, kuri sunkiai suvokia, kas tai yra. Modern technologies surpass society‘s expectations. The society little by little enters the new digital era. The information and knowledge of these days reach the people momentarily. In Lithuania it is more interested in the digital technologies, their transferred textual, audio and video information.
