應用商業智慧於眼鏡消費行為及市場需求

近幾年來,眼鏡連鎖產業呈現飽和狀態,加上經濟不景氣對消費市場帶來負面的嚴重影響,導致消費者幾乎以價格作為唯一的考慮因素。以品牌來說,目前仍以寶島、得恩堂、宏恩、模範、大陸等眼鏡連鎖店位居領導地位,但是單店精品眼鏡,以及隨著量販店興起的眼鏡店,則是新型態的眼鏡業後起之秀。由於科技進步,眼鏡相關商品早已臻成熟階段。而且近年來國內近視的人越來越多,且年齡層亦有逐漸下降的趨勢。 本研究主要是在探討一般消費者對於眼鏡產品的消費習性,以及區分不同消費者對眼鏡產品的消費傾向。進一步以商業智慧的角度觀察眼鏡市場,故蒐集大量商業智慧和眼鏡產品的資料及文獻,然後藉由商業智慧的流程找出眼鏡市場上有價值的資訊。對未來眼鏡業之發展方向提供具體可行之建議。

This business plan presents the process of developing an export plan for Brighten Optix, one of the largest specialty contact lens manufactory in the Asia Pacific. Brighten Optix obtains over 2/3 of its revenue from China due to its rapid growing GDP per capita and high myopia prevalence. In order to spread potential business risk, it was decided to explore new markets starting from Asia Pacific region. iCon United is a new oversea business unit for Brighten Optix; we will use iLens, the reverse geometric lens for orthokeratology, which is a special design for Asian eye, to develop new markets. The goal of this business plan is to provide our mother company with a clearer view of the next market to enter and to develop an effective marketing method that should allow 1% market share penetration in three years.

戴眼鏡對人臉辨識系統之影響

本研究嘗試不全以負面假設來看待配戴眼鏡對人臉辨識的影響。吾人將以邊緣偵測圖為基礎,以邊點強度的分析來建立一套定位眼鏡的偵測系統。同時用偵測出的鏡框位置,以邊緣點的強度、密度比較的方式,定位眼睛的位置;並以前述兩套偵測演算,採擷其過程的資訊,進一步地定位鼻子與嘴巴的位置。這些演算形成一個簡易的人臉特徵定位系統,其將可處理配戴眼鏡的人臉;吾人也將進一步地經由其處理過程與結果,分析眼鏡對區域人臉辨識的影響,進而引導出非自然物件可能對人臉辨識的阻礙或輔助。 論文也將以全域比對法中的PCA與ICA演算法作一連串的實驗,剖析眼鏡對於全域辨識的影響;此外,亦用相同的方法來測試非自然物(眼鏡)、光源亮度與人臉角度對於人臉辨識阻礙的程度,以探究是否系統值得花費更大的代價,來移除眼鏡這個被一致認定的人臉辨識障礙,並得以在辨識演算法上獲得更高的效能。 / The objective of this thesis is to investigate the efficacy of face recognition systems when the subjects are wearing glasses. We do not presume that non-facial features such as glasses are nuisances. Instead, we will study whether the inclusion of glasses will have a positive impact on the face detection procedure and how it affects the feature extraction process. We will demonstrate how to use techniques based on local feature analysis to reduce the uncertainties in the matching result due to interferences around the eyes and nose caused by optical glasses. We have also conducted extensive experiments to analyze the effect of glasses on face recognition systems based on global matching strategy. Specifically, we perform both principal component analysis (PCA) and independent component analysis (ICA) on face databases with different percentage of subjects wearing eye glasses. It is concluded that external objects such as glasses will have a negative impact on face recognition using global analysis approaches. However, the adverse influences of illumination and pose are more conspicuous during the recognition process. Therefore, one should take caution when attempting to adapt the global matching scheme to handle the difficulties caused by glasses.

台灣外移西進的傳統產業,由OEM轉型為ODM的實證研究—以某眼鏡製造公司為例

隨著國內、外總體經濟環境的快速變遷,各個產業競爭態勢已由過去的區域性競爭轉變成全球性競爭,台灣的傳統產業正面臨前所未有的低價競爭考驗,尤其是面臨中國大陸密集的勞力、土地、資金等強大優勢下,各傳統產業的企業主不僅要在其專業技術上保持領先的地位,更應該尋求在經營策略上力求轉型升級與技術創新,以避免被後進廠商所取代,擺脫製造代工的微利困境,進而確保企業本身的競爭優勢。本研究希望透過個案研究的方式,找出外移西進的傳統產業在面臨轉型升級的過程中,可能遭遇到的困境與挑戰,並藉由研究個案公司的轉型歷程,探討外移西進的傳統產業在轉型升級的前後,在新產品開發流程、新樣式設計、生產製造技術等三個構面上企業運作方式的差異。最後藉由其經營績效的表現,來驗證轉型升級的決策所帶給企業的實質利益,最後提出對於外移西進的傳統產業在面臨轉型升級時實務決策上的具體建議,以作為其他面臨經營困境的傳統產業之參考依據。 / As the fast transition of the domestic and global economic environment, every industrial competition situation has changed from the regional competition to the global one and the traditional industries in Taiwan is facing a unprecedented challenge of the low-price competition. Especially, facing the strong advantage of the high-density labors, lands and capital in Mainland China, each traditional industry’s owner not only should keep the leading position in the specialized field technologies but also search for the workable industrial transition method and the technology innovation in the management strategy in order not to be replaced by the latecomer competitors. They also want to free themselves from the low margin and micro profits dilemma by OEM and furthermore, keep the competitive advantage of themselves. This research would like to find out the possible dilemma and challenges the traditional industries which has moved the production factories to China may encounter in the industrial transition process by case study method. Also, it covers the differences about the business operations before and after the industrial transistion of the traditional industries which has moved the production factories to China in the three phases of the new product development, the new style design and the new craft technology through studying the industrial transition process of the case company. It also proved that the desicion of the industrial transistion can bring the company the concrete profits by providing the result of the business performance. Lastly, it brings up the constructive suggestions for the traditional industries if they are facing the industrial transition and practicing decisions. Hope the research could be a helpful reference for any traditional industries which encounter the delimma when operating the business.
