It is clear that in a country of continental dimensions such as Brazil there are several local cultural demonstrations that differ and intersect on one another. The main association made by the academy and the media about our counterculture is with the Tropicália movement, which brought external features adding to the local, in an hybrid art that led to its canonization. But there were other movements, although not exalted at the same level, have significant historical and cultural value. As an example there is Udigrudi in Recife, Raul Seixas from Bahia, Grã Órdem Kavernista centralized in Rio de Janeiro, the Rock and Roll and the Progressive Rock / Psychedelic especially in large urban centers, the so-called singers “Malditos” (damned), among others / O intuito desta dissertação é o de trazer à memória os movimentos contraculturais brasileiros que vigoraram nos anos 1960 e 1970. É evidente que em um país de dimensões continentais como o Brasil se tenha diversas manifestações culturais locais que se difiram e se interseccionam. A principal associação que a academia e a mídia fazem de nossa contracultura é com o movimento tropicalista, que trouxe características externas somando-se às locais, num hibridismo artístico que levou à sua canonização. Entretanto para além da Tropicália tivemos outros movimentos, que embora não tenham sido enaltecidos ao mesmo nível, possuem expressivo valor histórico e cultural. Tesis para optar al grado de Magíster en Literatura / En esta tesis se estudia la presencia de la Roma augustal en la Eneida de Virgilio (siglo I a.C.), a partir de dos premisas. Por una parte, la ciudad romana opera como matriz de la configuración del espacio del poema. A partir de la descripción geográfica, écfrasis o alusión a su espacio urbano (ruinas, monumentos, edificios, templos, estilos arquitectónicos, entre otros), la Roma de la época de Augusto se hace presente en la epopeya, transponiéndose espacial y temporalmente con los espacios de los tiempos míticos de la acción. De este modo, Roma se intersecta con la representación literaria de ciudades como Cartago (Libro I) o ciudadelas como Proto Roma (Libro VIII). Por otra parte, el pasaje de la “Marcha de los Héroes” (Libro VI) está vinculado temáticamente con el edificio romano más importante del programa político augustal, el Foro de Augusto, ya que en ambas obras se representan a los hombres ilustres de la historia romana, los llamados summi viri. La presencia de las imágenes de la ciudad en la Eneida estarían estrechamente relacionadas con el proyecto ideológico de Augusto, y con una particular concepción de la memoria respecto de la geografía urbana.

This essay aims to study the new regulation of the Swedish legislation regarding fixed-term work with a comparison to the EU directive 99/70/EC[1]. The essay also aims to study if the new legislation makes any difference for the individuals that has a fixed-term employment. The EU directive 99/70/EC is the legislation which shows how the member states in the EU are supposed to prevent employers from abusing frequent temporary employment and aims to protect the employees. Previously, an employer in Sweden could use the fixed-term contracts for temporary employments and just keep on giving the employee a temporary position in a spiral. In this way, the employer could avoid to give an employee a permanent employment and this makes for an unsafe future for the affected individual. In may 2016 Sweden, after criticism from the EU-commission, changed the Swedish legislation and aimed to stop the abusing of fixed-term contracts. Sweden wanted to try to keep the balance between the employer’s flexibility and the employee’s safety and this essay aims to investigate to what extent the change fulfills the purpose. [1] Council Directive 1999/70/EC of 28 June 1999 concerning the framework agreement on fixed-term work concluded by ETUC, UNICE and CEEP. Later know as the EU directive 99/70/EC.

Primary aim of this diploma is characteristic of changes in official works of Czech literature in the period of "Normalization". The first chapter focuses on a general description of the social situation of the 1970s and 1980s from the economic, political and cultural point of view. In the second chapter we summarized the specific features of socialist realism as an artistic method and the basic censure requirements on the literature of commitment. The basic source of characteristic of the literary process are primarily critical articles and theoretical monographies about socialist realism of 70s and 80s. In the third chapter we analyzed the selected works applying requirements of engaged critic in the representation of the normalization context or directly a social situation of the 70s and 80s. The main aim of this thesis is narrative analysis of selected texts, not the general quality evaluation of officially published works.

The work focuses on the literary work of Korean writer Yun Heunggil in the context of modern Korean literature of the 1970s. The first part describes the general features of the literature in the 1970s, with an emphasis on changes in requirements placed on authors and topics in this period of modernization. The second part deals exclusively with the work of Yun Heunggil. Great attention is given to writer's history, as it has a significant influence on his early literary work. In the latter parts, the work deals with two topics, which represent the seventies in the Korean modern literature - Korean War and modernization of Korean society. Then it looks into common features of work and reccuring motifs in both categories, using detailed analysis of narrative sequences. Work also includes a sample translation of one of the author's short stories, The Man Who Left Behind a Nine Pairs of Shoes

This diploma thesis is analysing the conditions of leadership development for potential leaders in Hilti spol.s r.o.. In this intention the theory of leadership is elaborated, further existing processes inside the company are described and finally data derived from Hilti internal research are evaluated. Information is supplemented by the findings derived from an e-questionnaire created for the purpose of clarifying uncertainties from the previous research data. To identify the objectives the thesis aligns existing processes with the theory of leadership and with the empirical researches. Exploiting these data within the company it is possible to identify strengths and weaknesses of leadership development processes for young leaders as well as propose areas which would be capable of implementing new trends with focus on higher effectiveness of these processes.

[EN] The aims of the present work are to document the context and the content of the copy of August, 1975 of Architectural Design, Women in Architecture and to see the sense and validity of a re-edition or equivalent edition 40 years later. The temporary lapse of the study focuses, basically, about the year 1975 and, about 2015. The resultant study consists of the following parts: Context: a) Study of context in the 70s where it is checked both the social and economic environment and the architectural one, especially regarding to women and architecture. b) Articles that explain the incorporation of the gender perspective to architecture and to urbanism. The magazine Architectural Design 8/1975, Women in Architecture: c) A detailed study of the magazine like an object in itself. d) A critical review of some works of architecture produced by women architects that contributed to the magazine of 1975. A review of the International Seminar Women in Architecture in Valencia: a description of the debate held in Valencia and of the result of the same one, and the same for the international Seminar in London. Considerations for a new edition, today. Nocturnal op. 70 is one of the most important large-scale works written for guitar in the twentieth century. Brief biographical data and some background information on Nocturnal show how it exemplifies Britten's compositional approach. The focus of the analysis is on three structural aspects: the rhythmic, the intervallic, and the aspect of underlying pitch patterns. The rhythmic analysis discusses the distortion of rhythmic patterns by the use of compression, expansion, elisions, syncopation, and rhythmic dissonance. The pitch set analysis discusses the intervallic character of the work, identifying and correlating set types as they form networks of relationship. The reductive analysis discusses the underlying connections of focal pitches in the linear material of Nocturnal. The conclusion then correlates the results of the preceding analyses, discussing the large-scale unfolding of the form in Nocturnal.

Bovine tuberculosis (BTB) is a zoonotic disease that affects domestic and wild animals, and humans. It is caused by Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) and has a wide host range. The effective control of BTB is of paramount importance and this can be achieved through the use of accurate and comprehensive diagnostic tests. The most widely used methods to detect BTB are the skin test and in vitro gamma interferon assay which do not detect anergic animals, but serological tests such as ELISA and fluorescence polarization assay (FPA) have been found promising in ancilliary tuberculosis diagnosis. The overall aim was to study M. tuberculosis complex (MTBC) protein, mycobacterial protein bovis 70 (MPB70) as a target for serological assays in the detection of antibodies to bovine tuberculosis. The MPB70 protein was expressed, purified and labeled with fluorescein (FITC). The mpb70 gene was fragmented into three regions without disrupting predicted epitopes. The resulting protein Fragments were expressed as fusion proteins with the monster green fluorescent protein (MGFP). The recombinant MPB70 (rMPB70) and the expressed gene fragments 2&3 were tested in immunoblots and ELISAs. The rMPB70 and fragment 2-MGFP reacted with chicken antibodies raised against rMPB70 and immune sera from BTB infected buffaloes. MPB70 peptides were synthesized as an approach to identify even smaller antigenic regions. The peptides BT1G (residues 31-45) and BT51L (residues 81-95) were recognised by anti-MPB70 chicken antibodies in the ELISA and fall within fragment 1 and 2, respectively. The tracers (rMPB70-FITC, fragment 2-MGFP fusion and peptides BT1G&BT51L) were tested in the FPA, but the results failed to distinguish between immune sera from chickens immunized with rMPB70 and negative control sera. Even though the FPA was not successful, the MPB70 fragment 2-MGFP fusion protein, which was recognized by sera from BTB infected buffaloes, was tested in an ELISA using panels of sera from uninfected and naturally M. bovis infected buffaloes and cattle. The diagnostic performance of the ELISA was, however, overall unsatisfactory and hence of very limited use as a serological test to detect antibody responses to BTB as a stand-alone assay. Sera from some of the animals gave false positive reactions indicating that MPB70 was not sufficiently specific for serodiagnosis of M. tuberculosis complex infections. / Dissertation (MSc)--University of Pretoria, 2012. / Veterinary Tropical Diseases / unrestricted
