A APRENDIZAGEM DE UMA CRIANÇA COM ALTAS HABILIDADES/SUPERDOTAÇÃO E TRANSTORNO DE ASPERGER

According to the Brazilian educational laws, the inclusion of students targeted by Special Education shall be in regular schools, offering them the Special Educational Services in resources room, during the shift opposite to the class hours. However, to receive such services, the students need to be identified as special education targets, that is, disabled students, those with Global Development Disorders, and those with High Abilities/Giftedness. Due to the lack of information in the field of High Abilities/Giftedness, these students continue to be neglected in their special educational needs. This research aimed at investigate the learning process of a child showing High Abilities/Giftedness associated to Asperger s Disorder, considering the executive function and the Mind Theory, thus contributing to qualify the Educational Special Services. As to the methodology, the research had a qualitative approach, adopting the case study as methodological procedure. The participants were a public elementary school student with Asperger s Distorder and High Abilities/Giftedness,his parents, teachers and Special Education teacher. Data were gathered using daily records and a semistructured interview, and were studied according to content analysis. The research allowed assessing that the educational proposals and evaluations previously made on this case basically focused behavioral issues where deficits appeared, instead of also encouraging and developing potentials in those areas where the student showed interests and presented good achievement. In order to change this reality and improve the educational services, good investments on teachers education and training would be necessary so as they could become authors of significant changes when joining the new knowledge to their professional practices. / A inclusão escolar dos alunos que são público alvo da Educação Especial, de acordo com a legislação educacional brasileira, deve ser em escola comum, ofertando o Atendimento Educacional Especializado em sala de recursos multifuncional, no contraturno. Porém, para receber este atendimento, os alunos necessitam ser identificados como público-alvo da educação especial, ou seja, alunos com deficiência, Transtorno Global do Desenvolvimento e Altas Habilidades/Superdotação. Devido à falta de informação e formação na área das Altas Habilidade/Superdotação, estes alunos continuam sendo negligenciados nas suas necessidades educacionais especiais. Esta pesquisa teve o objetivo de investigar o processo de aprendizagem de uma criança com Altas Habilidades/Superdotação e Transtorno de Asperger associados, considerando a função executiva e a teoria da mente, contribuindo, assim, para a qualificação do atendimento educacional. Quanto à metodologia, a pesquisa teve uma abordagem qualitativa, assumindo como procedimento metodológico o estudo de caso. Os participantes da pesquisa foram um aluno de escola pública de ensino fundamental com Transtorno de Asperger e Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, seus pais, seus professores e o professor do AEE. Como instrumentos de coleta de dados foram utilizados o diário de campo e uma entrevista semiestruturada. A apreciação dos dados foi feita através da análise de conteúdo. Com a investigação foi possível constatar, que as propostas pedagógicas e avaliações feitas anteriormente neste caso, focaram-se basicamente nas questões comportamentais, onde há déficits, ao invés de estimular e desenvolver também os potenciais em áreas que manifestem interesses e apresentem bons desempenhos. Para que se possa modificar esta realidade e qualificar o atendimento educacional, será necessário um bom investimento na formação dos professores, para que se tornem autores de mudanças significativas, quando unirem os conhecimentos adquiridos à sua prática profissional.

Vhodnost využití Testu struktury inteligence IST při diagnostikování dyslexie u studentů středních škol / Suitability of Intelligence Structure Test IST for high school students dyslexia diagnosis

Diploma thesis focuses on examination of the use of Intelligence Structure Test IST 2000 R in diagnostics of high school students with dyslexia. To verify the suitability of its use, the thesis compares overall results of 56 dyslexic students with results of their peers who attend the same high schools in Prague 10 (Gymnázium Voděradská, Omská a Přípotoční, Střední průmyslová škola elektrotechnická V Úžlabině, Obchodní Akademie Heroldovy Sady). Afterwards, the results of 35 students with dyslexia are compared with their results of different in the past administrated intelligence tests (Pražský dětský wechsler, Wechslerova inteligenční škála pro děti). The results of the study showed that students with dyslexia scored significantly lower than their peers from intact population in the IST 2000 R test and their final score is significantly lower than their own results from different intelligence tests. Therefore, it is not correct to evaluate the IST 2000 R test as suitable for assessment of high school students with dyslexia.

This thesis is focused on young people with hearing impairment who are educated by oral auditory method at school for pupils with special educative needs, particularly at School for the Hearing Impaired. The theoretical part is especially oriented on the characteristics and specifics of the developmental period of adolescence which is a very important milestone at the transition from childhood to maturity. It is focused on the hearing impairment issue and it also observes the psychological aspects of the people with hearing impairment. Furthermore, it deals with communication competencies of people with hearing impairment with focusing on spoken words and speech therapy intervention. The aim of the scientific examination of this thesis is to bring closer and mediate the opinions and experience of the young people with hearing impairment who are educated by oral - auditory method on their own communication skills and abilities. In this part of work the students themselves express their communication competencies. This work contains authentic parts of testimonies and brings some interesting insights of students themselves. This is a little probe into the lives of the young people with hearing impairment through their experience.

Podíl logopeda na komplexní péči o osoby se syndromem demence / Participation of the speech therapist on comprehensive care of people with the syndrome of dementia

The dissertation deals with issues of the dementia syndrome and the speech therapy as a part of its therapy. It describes basic types of dementia, risk factors affecting its formation, diagnostics including the most famous diagnostic tests, the general treatment of dementia, and institutions, where the care for people with dementia could be realized. Subsequently it namely focuses on the speech intervention for this group of people. As a part of this dissertation a workbook with the plan for the treatment of impaired communication abilities in dementia was created. Tests were carried out with four individuals with dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease. The results, even evaluated just subjectively, show that this plan might be appropriate as a cornerstone of speech intervention for people with dementia, which in our country is not very broadly spread in our country. Úroveň pohybových schopností dětí mladšího školního věku ve vybraných sportovních hrách / Motor abilities of younger school-age children in selected sports games

The goal of the thesis is to determine the level of motoric abilities of the children in primary school age (years of birth 2006 and 2007) who do the selected sports games such handball, football, volleyball and basketball. I tested the level of motoric abilities using the test battery Unifittest (6 - 60) what is suitable tool for testing. The testing was carried out in six sports clubs in the Central Bohemian Region and the Vysočina Region. I compared the level of motoric abilities of the children in primary school age doing the sports with standard population and subsequently made a comparison between selected sports. The other task was also to determine whether the structure of sport performance of selected sports will influence the level of motoric abilities of the children in primary school age. The research-oriented part proves that there is no significant difference in average results. The testing showed that handball and basketball players have the highest levels of motoric abilities. The research also showed that the sportsmen in primary school age have the worst results in the tests focused on physical condition of players. The aim of this thesis is to verify the effectiveness of children's listening activities in the preschool period from five to six years of age, to introduce the utilization of methodology connected with listening to the music by Jaroslav Herden in terms of preschool education, and to demonstrate the importance of motivation and integrative activities for the development of attention together with the overall harmonious development of children. In the theoretical part, I analyse the input of music into the consciousness of children in terms of basic psychological features and functions which are important for perception. I introduce basic musical abilities, particularly musical creativity and imagination. The theoretical part is concluded with the clarification of basic means of expression and shape features, which are important not only for the music perception as such, but also the music perception in an ontogenetic context. Moreover, I also present the philosophy of educational thinking concerning the listening activities proposed by Professor Jaroslav Herden. In the practical part, I introduce a comprehensive authorial project involving the methodology of Jaroslav Herden's music tailored to children who are aged from five to six years. The thesis deals with communication abilities of pupils attending special elementary school. The theoretical part summarizes the general knowledge of communication, the development of speech in the healthy population and impaired communication abilities. It also deals with the description, the etiology and symptoms of mental disability, Down syndrome and combined disabilities, especially cerebral palsy. The final part summarizes knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication used for patients with severely impaired communication skills. The practical part consists of the interpretation of the results of the research, dealing with the analysis of the communication skills of pupils from special elementary school, especially comparisons of evaluations of this communication by family members and professionals who work with the specific person. The result of the research is the fact that the communication skills of students from special elementary schools are very individual and family assessment and key worker may not coincide. It always depends on the type of disability, support of families and professionals as well as the personality traits of the individual. Good results in psychiatric health care and factors affecting them in Finland and in Greece

Abstract The aim of this study was to compare the development of the psychiatric health care services, the views about what things can be regarded as good results in psychiatric health care and the factors affecting on them in Finland and in Greece. The study can be used as a point of reference when developing and comparing mental health indicators in and between the European countries. The psychiatric health care services in both the countries appeared to have gone through similar phases of development: isolation, psychopharmacal treatment, work and other activities, psychotherapies and finally, patient-oriented combination of all the methods. The number of psychiatric in-patient beds has decreased in mental hospitals and increased in general hospitals, and the number of rehabilitation and service homes has also increased. The data sets were collected by interviews and from written documents and statistical data sets concerning Finland and Greece (OECD health care data set 2000, European Commission 1997, 1999a, 1999b, 2000, 2001, World Health Organization 1996a, 1996b, 2001a, 2001b). In Finland 44 workers and decision-makers were interviewed within the area of one hospital district, and in Greece, 35 workers were interviewed in two psychiatric hospitals. The qualitative data sets were analyzed with methods of content analysis. The international and national quantitative data were analyzed for similarities and differences. The frame for the comparison was outlined based on the literature and the results of the interviews. In both countries, good results in psychiatric health care included well-being, functional abilities, service capacity and economy. Well-being in both the countries meant alleviation of the symptoms of the illness and satisfaction of the basic physical, psychic and social needs. In Finland patients' positive feelings were emphasized, while in Greece, the value of of equal rights for sick and healthy people was underlined. Functional abilities included the ability to take care of one's everyday life. In Greece the long-term mental patients needed to relearn the skills of daily living, while the Finnish system emphasized patients' ability to use the skills they had but did not use because of their illness. Adequate service capacity in Greece meant the accessibility of the services close to each person's place of residence, while in Finland possibilities to get information and guidance about matters concerning oneself and one's relatives were considered especially important. Economy meant the relationship between the costs and the results. In Greece patients needed sufficient pensions to be able to live outside the hospital. In Finland the challenge was to produce sufficiently high-quality services with the available resources. The factors affecting good results were related to the patient/client and his/her relatives, the health care staff, the methods of treatment, the organization of the system of care and the society in question. The importance of the patient's family, the professional skills of the staff, and the availability of both outpatient and inpatient treatment and medication were emphasized. / Tiivistelmä Tutkimuksessa vertaillaan psykiatrisen terveydenhoidon kehitystä sekä käsityksiä hoidon tuloksellisuudesta ja siihen vaikuttavista tekijöistä Suomessa ja Kreikassa. Tutkimusta voidaan käyttää yhtenä esimerkkinä kehitettäessä psykiatrisen hoidon indikaattoreita ja maiden välisiä vertailuja Euroopassa. Tulosten perusteella psykiatrisessa terveydenhoidossa on havaittavissa molemmissa maissa tietyt kehitysvaiheet: eristäminen, lääkitys, työ ja toiminta, psykoterapiat, ja viimeisimpänä edellä mainittujen potilaslähtöinen yhdistäminen. Sairaalapaikkojen määrä psykiatrisissa sairaaloissa on vähentynyt ja yleissairaaloissa lisääntynyt molemmissa maissa ja kuntoutus- ja hoitokotien määrä on lisääntynyt. Aineisto koottiin haastatteluilla, kirjoitetuista asiakirjoista sekä tilastotiedoista psykiatrisesta terveydenhoidosta Suomessa ja Kreikassa (OECD health care data set 2000, European Commission 1997, 1999a, 1999b, 2000, 2001, World Health Organization 1996a, 1996b, 2001a, 2001b). Suomessa haastateltiin 44 työntekijää ja päättäjää yhden sairaanhoitopiirin alueella, Kreikassa 35 kahdessa sairaalassa. Laadullinen aineisto analysoitiin sisällönanalyysimenetelmällä. Kvantitatiivisesta, kansallisista ja kansainvälisistä lähteistä kootusta aineistosta etsittiin samankaltaisuuksia ja eroavuuksia. Vertailun viitekehys muodostettiin kirjallisuuden ja haastattelujen tulosten perusteella. Psykiatrisen terveydenhoidon tuloksellisuus on molempien maiden tiedonantajien mukaan hyvää oloa, toimintakykyä, palvelukykyä ja taloudellisuutta. Hyvä olo tarkoittaa sairauden oireiden lieventymistä ja psyykkisten, fyysisten ja sosiaalisten perustarpeiden tyydyttymistä. Suomessa korostettiin potilaan myönteisiä tunteita, kreikassa ihmisarvoa samanlaisin oikeuksin kuin muillakin ihmisillä. Toimintakyky sisältää kyvyn huolehtia jokapäiväisen elämän vaatimista tehtävistä. Kreikassa pitkään sairastaneilla oli tarve opetella uudelleen alusta jokapäiväisen elämisen taitoja, Suomessa korostettiin sairauden vuoksi käyttämättömänä olevan osaamisen elvyttämistä. Palvelukyky tarkoitti Kreikassa palvelujen saatavuutta läheltä asuinpaikkaa, Suomessa tiedon ja ohjauksen saamista itseä ja läheisiä koskevissa asioissa. Taloudellisuus tarkoittaa kustannusten ja tulosten välistä suhdetta. Kreikassa potilaiden tulee saada parempia eläkkeitä kyetäkseen asumaan sairaalan ulkopuolella, Suomessa haasteeksi koettiin hyvän hoidon mahdollistaminen olevilla voimavaroilla. Tuloksellisuuteen vaikuttavat tekijät liittyivät potilaaseen/asiakkaaseen ja hänen läheisiinsä, hoitavaan henkilökuntaan ja hoitomenetelmiin, hoidon organisointiin sekä yhteiskuntaan, jossa eletään. Molemmissa maissa korostettiin potilaan läheisten merkitystä, henkilökunnan ammattitaitoa, hoitopaikkoina sekä avo- että sairaanhoitoa ja lääkehoitoa.

Title: Basketball Fitness Training of Junior Categories in the Czech Republic Objectives: Collection of information about the approach to basketball fitness training of junior categories - girls and boys - in the Czech Republic. The emphasis was placed on frequency and structure of fitness training in relation to various training seasons. Methods: Data were gained by means of questionnaire survey. After accomplishing of a pilot survey an unstandardized questionnaire together with related information was sent by e-mails to trainers of teams acting during the 2016/17 season in the Czech basketball federation competitions (namely to trainers of teams of these categories: juniors U19 - boys and girls - extra league, league, cadets U17 - boys and girls - extra league, league. Results: My theses presents information about the situation and conception of fitness training in given age categories and competitions. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the first one the basic terms and foundations are explained and in the following one the data collected by means of anonymous unstandardized questionnaire survey are presented. 30 respondents (trainers of mentioned categories) took place in the survey. This master's thesis deals with interpreter's self-training. The aim of this theoretical-empirical study is to give an overview of the interpreting students' attitude towards interpreter's self- training as well as of the techniques students use when they perform their self-training. Another aim is to describe the role of teachers in interpreter's self-training, i.e. to what extent they motivate and support their students when it comes to self-training. The research part of the study was conducted at the Institute of Translation Studies, Charles University, and at the Department of Translation Studies, University of Graz, with the aim to compare the situation at those two institutes taking into account the abovementioned criteria. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses interpreter's self-training in the context of deliberate practice and focuses also on group practice as well as on the teachers' role. It also presents methods, techniques and e-learning tools which students may find useful during their self-training. The empirical part consists of an analysis of the data collected by means of questionnaires at the abovementioned institutes.
