González Salinas, María Camila 30 December 2018 (has links)
The research seeks to lay the foundations of a hotel that, through the provision of single-person modules, will be able to meet the growing specialized demand of passengers in transit in Jorge Chávez International Airport. The business is based on the modality of not having to make a previous reservation to receive the service, since the client will be able to register autonomously at the moment of approaching the reception for which he will only have to enter his data. This is done with the aim of providing customers with a less stressful environment before traveling. The hotel has three floors, the first has divided areas for each activity, the second for rest and passenger hygiene where you can also rest and be distracted in the halls of the corridors, the third repeats everything of the second. It is worth mentioning that at the time of registration the customer will receive a bracelet, where they can consume the products, enter the capsule, open the locker on this bracelet, the amount consumed during the stay is charged. Each client is obliged to take a shower before entering the module to spend the night, which is why they will be given personal hygiene items such as bathrobe, towel, shampoo bag, espadrilles and soap. Among the services offered by the hotel, you will have the cafeteria, the dining room and the bar for 24 hours .. Being just seconds away from all international doors while offering all the amenities to work, relax, sleep and refresh will be the right thing to offer so that the traveler can reach their next destination in the best way. The study has been divided into 5 chapters namely: Description of the problematic reality; Investigative frameworks; Design strategies; Programming; Conclusions and contributions As a great conclusion it has come to indicate that the design of a lodging by modules not only responds to the prevailing tendency in the Hub of the World airports and that our contribution will serve to align the Jorge Chávez in that level; but also by force of demand its construction becomes very necessary. / Tesis

Ein Beitrag zur makroskopischen Simulation von Passagierströmen zwischen kooperierenden Flughäfen unter Nutzung des SYSTEM DYNAMICS Zuganges nach Forrester

Mühlhausen, Thorsten 22 December 1999 (has links)
Steadily increasing air traffic leads to capacity problems at many major airports. In most cases it is not possible to enlarge the airport due to lack of area or resistance of the population (mainly motivated by environmental aspects). One way out is the cooperation of airports. It can be possible to use a smaller airport in the vicinity of a major airport as an additional runway. In this case the land-side connections between both airports are very important. The two airports have to operate like one big airport. This work deals with the optimization of the system of cooperating airports. Two scenarios are analyzed and rated in more detail: Conventional railway connection with utilization of existing infrastructure and with a fixed time table (traditional operational regime) Connection with an automated people mover with demand control schedule For macroscopic modeling the SYSTEM DYNAMICS approach by Forrester is used. The main feature is a very good real world representation. This work shows the applicability of SYSTEM DYNAMICS for modeling passenger flows at traffic junctions, calculates the passenger delay, which occurs between connected airports and specifies the consumption of resources, i.e. equipment necessary for the connection.

Open Innovation for Enhancing Sustainability : A case study on the sustainability-related implications of open innovation projects

Bengtsson, Nellie Julia January 2020 (has links)
Sustainability has become an increasingly important aspect for companies to consider. Not only is it necessary to comply with laws and regulations that encourage corporate sustainability, but it has also become a way for companies to gain competitiveness. Historically, companies have primarily adopted so called closed innovation models focused on internal resources and capabilities, in order to generate competitive advantages. However, in a world characterized by rapidly changing demands and high product complexity, the internal capabilities of companies are challenged, which have led firms to explore other collaborative models of innovation. This trend is referred to as open innovation and it implies that companies open up their innovation process in order to utilize external knowledge and share their unutilized ideas. This thesis seeks to explore the sustainability-related implications of open innovation by understanding opportunities and challenges related to adopting an open approach for innovation projects that aim to enhance sustainability. Furthermore, it adopts a contingency perspective through which it seeks to examine factors affecting the sustainability-related performance of open innovation projects. The study is based on empirical data obtained through six semi-structured interviews in a Swedish state-owned enterprise within the air transport industry. The research finds that an open approach for sustainability-oriented innovation projects leads to increased creativity, increased access to knowledge and reduced duration, but that they are challenged by a high degree of complexity. Furthermore, the findings suggest that the sustainability performance of open innovation projects is moderated by three factors: the management of the project, the dedication of the individuals involved and the absorptive capacity of the team. The study argues that in order to enhance sustainability performance of innovation projects, these factors must be adjusted according to the openness of the project. By exploring the context dependencies of open innovation for sustainability purposes, the study contributes to develop a broader comprehension of the contextual characteristics of open innovation as well as its relevance for sustainability.
