However, the literature has appointed the need for including a new approach in this context: the behavioral one, making the analysis more complete, and being more effective, for companies to be more sustainable, ethical and clear. Therefore, they can reach better results, as well as contribute positively for society. In this situation, this research was made. The main tool of Governance was studied in this work: the Board of Directors, under the behavioral perspective: the analysis of diversity, through the following dimensions: age, academic degree, genre and culture (concerning nationality). The aim was to investigate the relationship between the diversity in the Board and the Market value of companies, by means of Tobin??s Q. The analysis of the diversity impacts in performance was made through two models: i) diversity index (composed of the four dimensions mentioned before), and ii) dimensions as isolated variables. The sample was composed of 90 companies listed in the 2012 edition of Anu??rio de Governan??a Corporativa da Revista Capital Aberto, as the ones with more liquidity traded in BM&FBOVESPA. The data are secondary, and the analysis considered 2012 and 2013. This was a quantitative study, through the Multiple Linear Regression Model, estimated by the Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS). The statistic results were not consistently significant for the regressions. So, it was not possible to reach the hypotethical conclusion that a bigger diversity could lead to a bigger Market value for companies. / O estudo da Governan??a Corporativa tem sido realizado predominantemente com base na Teoria da Firma. Contudo, a literatura tem indicado ser necess??rio a inclus??o de uma nova abordagem, a comportamental, tornando a an??lise completa e colaborando mais efetivamente para que as empresas sejam mais sustent??veis, mais ??ticas, mais transparentes, e por conseguinte alcancem melhores desempenhos e contribuam positivamente para a sociedade. Esta disserta????o se insere neste contexto, estuda o seu principal mecanismo, o conselho de administra????o, sob a perspectiva comportamental; an??lise da diversidade representada pelas dimens??es: idade, forma????o acad??mica, g??nero e cultural (em termos de nacionalidade).O objetivo ?? investigar a rela????o entre a diversidade no conselho e o valor de mercado das empresas, medido pelo Q de Tobin. A an??lise dos impactos da diversidade no desempenho ser?? realizada por dois modelos: i) ??ndice de diversidade (composto pelas quatro dimens??es mencionadas), e ii) as dimens??es como vari??veis isoladas. We use a sample of 519 publicly-traded companies listed on the S??o Paulo Stock Exchange, considering the period from 2000 to 2015. We find evidence that the external factors, the SELIC base interest rate, and the BNDES System's credit disbursement, impact the companies' working capital level. Our finding comply with previous studies that analyze the internal factors such as, debt level and free cash flow. We find that higher levels of cash flow increase working capital levels, and that companies' debt level does not influence the working capital management. / Esta pesquisa estuda como fatores internos e externos impactam o gerenciamento do capital de giro. Trabalha com uma amostra de 519 companhias de capital aberto listadas na Bolsa de Valores de S??o Paulo, considerando o per??odo de 2000 a 2015. Encontra evid??ncias de que os fatores externos, taxa b??sica de juros SELIC, e desembolso de cr??dito do Sistema BNDES, interferem no n??vel de capital de giro das companhias. Segue estudos anteriores que analisaram os fatores internos, endividamento e fluxo de caixa livre, constatando que n??veis maiores de fluxo de caixa aumentam os n??veis de capital de giro, e que o endividamento das companhias n??o influencia o gerenciamento do capital de giro.

As a research strategy, a structured questionnaire was developed applying the variables contingencies and their influence on internal controls, reaching growth in its sectors of activity in the years 2012-2014, and separating into five forms of control (control environment, risk assessment, Control activities, information and communication, and monitoring activity). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression formulation. Being that the internal control function in organizations is evidenced as the company grows in results and consequently needs to be structured to have control in its operations, protecting its assets and equity. In this way, understanding and understanding the contingency variables in internal controls are determining factors for the management of these companies, as they guarantee their survival and growth. The research hypotheses were confirmed through the results of the regressions studied, which pointed out that the contingency variables influenced the internal control of the companies during the studied period. / Este estudo objetivou investigar as influ??ncias das vari??veis contingenciais nos controles internos das pequenas e m??dias empresas que mais cresceram em termos de receita no tri??nio 2012-2014. Como estrat??gia de pesquisa elaborou-se um question??rio estruturado aplicando as vari??veis contingenciais e suas influ??ncias nos controles internos, atingindo crescimento em seus setores de atua????o nos anos de 2012-2014, separando em cinco formas de controle (ambiente de controle, avalia????o de riscos, atividades de controle, informa????o e comunica????o e atividade de monitoramento). Os dados foram analisados por estat??sticas descritivas e formula????o de regress??o linear m??ltiplas. Sendo que a fun????o de controle interno nas organiza????es ?? evidenciada na medida em que a empresa vai crescendo nos resultados e consequentemente precisa se estruturar para ter controle nas suas opera????es, protegendo seus ativos e patrim??nio. Desta forma, entender e compreender as vari??veis contingenciais nos controles internos s??o fatores determinantes para a administra????o destas empresas, pois garantem a sua sobreviv??ncia e seu crescimento. As hip??teses de pesquisa foram confirmadas atrav??s dos resultados das regress??es estudadas, que apontaram que as vari??veis contingenciais influenciaram no controle interno das empresas, no per??odo estudado.

The main objective is investigating the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education in terms of entrepreneurial attitudes and behavior. The study is done on a University that has an entrepreneurship education program on a Business Management undergraduate program. It is conducted a survey using a questionnaire on the Business Management undergraduate students resulting in a random stratified sample of 264 students. The entrepreneurial attitudes variables used are those found on the entrepreneurship literature. The entrepreneurial behavior variables are typical entrepreneurial situations like a decision on how to apply money and if the student would leave a good job to open his or her own company. It is applied multiple regression, cluster, bivariate and chi-square analysis. The main findings are first that it was not found a strong relationship between the entrepreneurial attitudes variables found on the entrepreneurship literature and the behavior situation proposed, with a multiple regression adjusted r2 = 0,30. Second, there is no statistically significant difference among the students comparing different years of the undergraduate program. Finally, the entrepreneurship education in this research appears to be effective in change attitudes toward entrepreneurship but not in changing entrepreneurial behavior. The main theoretical implication is that the entrepreneurship education on higher education level could be effective to change attitudes but changing behavior could goes beyond the possibilities of education on a usual university environment / Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar a efic?cia da introdu??o de educa??o do empreendedorismo, em n?vel universit?rio, a partir dos fatores que definem o perfil empreendedor em termos de atitude e comportamento. O estudo ? realizado em estudantes de uma Universidade que tem um programa de educa??o do empreendedorismo em um curso universit?rio de Administra??o de Empresas. Na pesquisa ? aplicado um question?rio aos estudantes universit?rios de Administra??o de empresas que resulta em uma amostra aleat?ria e estratificada composta com 264 estudantes. As vari?veis de atitudes empreendedoras usadas foram extra?das da literatura sobre o empreendedorismo. As vari?veis de comportamento empreendedor, s?o situa??es empresariais t?picas como, uma decis?o em como aplicar dinheiro e, se o estudante deixaria um bom trabalho para abrir o seu pr?prio neg?cio. ? aplicada a regress?o m?ltipla, agrupamento, bivariada e an?lise qui-quadrado. Quanto aos resultados, primeiro n?o foi identificado uma rela??o forte entre atitudes encontradas na literatura e situa??es de comportamento propostas, com regress?o m?ltipla igual a r2 = 0,30. Results (data) were statistically analyzed using multivariate data techniques, specially factor analysis with a computacional tool, SPSS.The results showed six main factors that were named as follow: teaching process unconnected with reality generating monotony, didatics, exclusion by natural aptitude, level of effort needed, class methodology and enviroment. Each factor was analysed according to existent theorical approaches, clarifying that teaching process unconneted with reality is generated by an obsolete class methodology, found in the bulge of an inadequate didatics, as well the students effort in such disciplines is related to their natural aptitude didatics, as well the students effort in such disciplines is related to their natural aptitude to work with them. The enviroment, pointed as an important component for the learning process, is the scenary where all the mentioned factors are lived by the business programs actors. All the factors detected were confirmed as part of the three worse identified problems in the mathematical teach-learning process: teaching imperfections, cognitive disfunctions and enviroment. At the end, some suggestions were made in order to brighten up the mentioned problems. / O tema central desta pesquisa ?? a identifica????o e an??lise dos principais fatores que geram dificuldades de aprendizagem de disciplinas matem??ticas em alunos dos cursos de Administra????o de Empresas. Um grupo de 20 gestores das mais diversas ??reas revelou atrav??s de entrevistas estruturadas "o qu??" ?? importante de matem??tica para o administrador, sendo que suas respostas constitu??ram um importante subs??dio para a constru????o de um instrumento de pesquisa que, aplicado a 271 alunos de duas institui????es de ensino particular de S??o Paulo, apurou para 26 assertivas o grau de concord??ncia quanto ?? raz??o apresentada para as dificuldades aqui pesquisadas. Os dados foram submetidos a testes estat??sticos a analisados segundo o m??todo multivariado de an??lise fatorial, com o aux??lio da ferramenta computacional SPSS??. Seis fatores foram definidos, identificados como ensino "descontextualizado" gerando monotonia, did??tica, exclus??o por aptid??o natural, esfor??o, metodologia de aula e ambiente. Cada um dos fatores foi analisado segundo as teorias existentes trazendo a percep????o de que o ensino "descontextualizado" ?? gerado por uma metodologia de aula obsoleta, que por sua vez encontra-se no bojo de uma did??tica inedequada, assim como o esfor??o dispendido pelos alunos em tais mat??rias ?? decorrente da aptid??o natural dos mesmos em rela????o a tais assuntos. O ambiente, tamb??m apontado como determinante no processo de aprendizagem, ?? o palco sobre o qual os demais fatores s??o vivenciados pelos atores do curso de gest??o empresarial. A gama de fatores relevantes aqui detectada p??de ser confirmada como parte integrante dos tr??s principais focos geradores de problemas no ensino-aprendizagem de matem??tica, identificados pela academia como: falhas docentes, falhas cognitivas e problemas ambientais. Therefore, the Harisson et al. (2010) model considered, raising a discussion around the influence of management for value creation. The specific goals of this work are: (a) expanding the proposed model by Harisson et al. (2010), evaluating its applicability in the Brazilian scenario, focusing on the supplier stakeholder management; (b) analysing a real case, which is recognized as a successful one, towards the relationship of company and stakeholders; (c) Demonstrating how an Information Technology (IT) company focused on supplier can apply the model of Harison et al. (2010) model, looking to increase its competitive advantage by managing the stakeholders; (d) raising propositions about the theme for future development by other researchers. This investigation was made by studying the case focused on the supplier stakeholder, i.e., that one interested in optimizing its clients' business as a way to guarantee the relationship continuity for supplying products. The perspectives of members from the company used for this research, such as the President, Finance Director, Sales Director, and supplier, considered along this work. It was made a sociometric study of descriptive character, involving 223 articles from 78 journals. For this, the articles were divided in six thematic areas - Portfolio Theory, Capital Structure and Dividend Policy, CAPM, Market Efficiency, Price Options and Behavior Finance. Moreover, it was made the presentation of the cooperation social networks, splitting authors and institutions according to the thematic areas. Subsequently, it was made the analysis of the areas and institutions that most represent the publications in the searched population, as well as how the building of this knowledge occurred, based on the concepts of normal science and Thomas Kuhn paradigm. The following results were obtained, mapped and followed by the social network analysis (SNA): a) the theories that compose the Modern Finance Theory have their constitution anomalous concerning the paradigms; b) in the normal course of science, response to crisis was through new finance and its behavior model; c) the results presented between the dichotomy full and limited rationality in finance fit in the concept of normal science, according to its building course; d) Finance is a research area that has already presented its scientific paradigm; e) the comparison between the periods of published research and the knowledge building, in various moments, occurs through pre-paradigmatic periods, and its first divergence point was defined based on the real behavior factor. The answer was the insurgence and the insertion of behavior models in agents' decisions, which appeared in publications only in the last two decades, even under questionings of the dominant paradigm. / Nesta pesquisa, o objetivo foi identificar, sob a perspectiva da teoria de constru????o do conhecimento, os autores e as institui????es de destaque envolvidos na ??rea de publica????o da pesquisa em finan??as, entre 1979 e 2012, para acompanhar como ocorreu a constru????o do conhecimento nessa ??rea. Foi feito um estudo sociom??trico de car??ter descritivo, com 223 artigos, oriundos de 78 peri??dicos. Para tanto, os artigos foram divididos em seis ??reas tem??ticas - Teoria do Portfolio, Estrutura de Capital e Pol??tica de Dividendos, CAPM, Efici??ncia de Mercado, Precifica????o de Op????es e Finan??as Comportamentais - e foi feita a apresenta????o das redes sociais de coopera????o, dividindo autores e institui????es em conformidade com as ??reas tem??ticas. Also, the research discusses the relevant terms related to the theme and the main credit products recently offered by the financial institutions in the national market. Considering the focus of this research, the present work has allowed evaluation of the level of financial literacy of 317university students interviewed in a private university in the city of Sao Paulo regarding credit usage. Finally, the work proves that the higher the financial literacy level, the better the decision making in credit products consumption by the university students is, since they make choices that involve lower costs. / A presente pesquisa procurou explorar o contexto e utiliza????o de produtos financeiros de cr??dito no Brasil, considerando o recente cen??rio de inclus??o financeira. Assim, o estudo buscou verificar a rela????o entre o grau de alfabetiza????o financeira dos indiv??duos e a qualidade de suas decis??es ao consumir produtos financeiros de cr??dito. The study uses the conceptual research model proposed by Tian et al. (2009). As part of this study, some of the main theoretical concepts of Resource Based View are reviewed, establishing a link between these concepts and the explanation about competitive advantage. The three constructs that set up the IT Deployment Capabilities are identified and investigated: Strategic Flexibility Partnership Business and Business Alignment. This is a descriptive exploratory research with a quantitative approach. The data collection instrument answered by the employees was a survey with a 7-point Likert scale available through Electronic Link on the Internet, using the website Survey Monkey. The study used public or private companies, national or international companies headquartered in Brazil as criteria for population, within various segments, and sample included the following functions: CEOs and Directors, Managers and Coordinators working at Information Technology areas in their companies. 320 e-mails were sent, yielding 192 responses. Of these 108 were selected as surveys with the desired research profile. To provide validation to the study, a statistical tool validation was used performing exploratory factor analysis tests (FAT) and multiple linear regression (MLR). The results showed that the constructs Strategic Flexibility and Business Partnership are positively associated with the perception of the impact of information technology competitive advantage, while the construct Business Alignment had no significant results to corroborate the studies by Tian et al. (2009) in Chinese companies. / O principal objetivo deste trabalho ?? examinar, com um estudo emp??rico, se os impactos da Capacidade Implanta????o-TI est??o positivamente associados ?? vantagem competitiva nas empresas brasileiras. O estudo utiliza o modelo conceitual de pesquisa proposto por Tian et al. (2009). Como partes deste estudo s??o revistos, dentre eles alguns dos principais conceitos te??ricos da Vis??o Baseada em Recursos, estabelece-se um elo entre esses conceitos e a explica????o da vantagem competitiva, identificando-se e investigando-se os tr??s constructos que comp??em a Capacidade Implanta????o-TI: Flexibilidade Estrat??gica, Parceria de Neg??cio e Alinhamento do Neg??cio. Trata-se de uma pesquisa explorat??ria descritiva, com uma abordagem quantitativa. Foram enviados 320 e-mails, obtendo-se 192 respostas. Desse total, foram selecionadas 108 respostas com o perfil desejado da pesquisa. Para proporcionar garantia ao estudo, foi utilizado o instrumento estat??stico de valida????o, no qual foram realizados os testes de an??lise fatorial explorat??ria (AFE) e regress??es lineares m??ltiplas (RLM). The aim was to ascertain the financial knowledge and financial practice of university students who attend three mass universities in S??o Paulo - SP. The study included 426 students who responded to the questionnaire. As noted in the study, the sample did not show a homogeneous behavior and also provided some evidence of the use of principles of financial education, such as the invoice conference credit cards held by 62.44% of young people, 62.91% have routine to pay the bills on time and 66.9% have the habit of comparing prices before making a purchase, however they also have contrary characteristics to these principles as no comparison in interest rates between the forward options, identified in 56.34% of the sample, 50.46% had a tendency to make impulse purchases, which shows strong evidence of non-literacy of mass university students. It is still possible to observe a significant percentage of young people who show the margin of use of the principles of financial education, they present contrary habits such as the use of overdraft limit found in 11.03%, the third party the name of the loan reported by 28% of respondents and the incidence of 30.04% already had their name registered in the credit protection services. The work is relevant to managers of the surveyed educational institutions, as this could guide them in implementing financial education programs for students, to make them more qualified young people for making financial decisions, contributing to the reduction of evasion and delinquency of these students since they began to plan their spending and to distribute their income according to your personal demands. / Este estudo trata dos h??bitos financeiros de estudantes universit??rios, que estudam em Institui????es de Ensino Superior de Massa. O objetivo, foi averiguar o conhecimento financeiro e a pr??tica financeira de jovens universit??rios que frequentam tr??s universidades de massa na cidade de S??o Paulo - SP. Participaram do estudo 426 alunos que responderam ao question??rio. Como foi observado neste estudo a amostra n??o demonstrou um comportamento homog??neo e apresentou ind??cios da utiliza????o de princ??pios da educa????o financeira, tais como, a confer??ncia da fatura de cart??es de credito realizada por 62,44% dos jovens, 62,91% tem a rotina de pagar as contas em dia e 66,9% tem o habito de comparar o pre??o antes de realizar uma compra, porem tamb??m apresentam caracter??sticas contrarias a estes princ??pios como a n??o compara????o da taxa de juros entre as op????es de compra a prazo, identificada em 56,34% da amostra, 50,46% apresentaram tend??ncias a realizar compras por impulso, o que demonstra fortes ind??cios da n??o alfabetiza????o dos jovens universit??rios de massa.
