Slutprodukten är en app där användaren lägger in föremål som definieras av fem kategorier. Appen sorterar föremålen och presenterar en trädvy som visar de gemensamma kategorierna.Data i appen sparas permanent som JSON-filer.

Andresen / A music player mobile application for Android is developed along with cloud server using Google’s App Engine and Firebase. This music player application provides various ways of navigating to an audio file and different music visualizer options. What’s more, the application also provides three major features: 1 user sign in and sign out, 2 display the most popular songs based on input, 3 users can submit comments and suggestions. These features are implemented by utilizing cloud services of Google’s App Engine and Firebase. Specifically, an application running on App Engine plays as a server’s role to verify user sign in. It also runs App Engine MapReduce jobs to consume large data stored in Google Cloud Storage and serves relatively small result about popular songs for the app. In addition, user’s comments and suggestions are automatically synchronized with Firebase which makes modifying and analyzing synchronized data really convenient.

abstract: Nutrition instruction has become more accessible; it is no longer relegated to the doctor’s office, dietitian briefing, outpatient clinic, or hospital. Now it is available in people’s hands, pockets, and purses via their smartphone. Since nutrition instruction has become more accessible, health professionals and members of the general public are increasingly interested in using smartphone apps to assist with health-related dietary changes. With more and more of the population required to follow certain dietary recommendations and/or monitor specific nutrient intake, commercially available apps may be a useful and cost-effective resource for the public. The purpose of this four-week intervention was to determine if the popular calorie counter app, MyFitnessPal, can be used to reduce sodium intake to ≤ 2,300 mg/day compared to the traditional paper-and-pencil method. This four-week randomized parallel trial enrolled 30 generally healthy adults who were 18 to 80 years of age. Participants were randomly assigned to the MyFitnessPal (“APP”) group or to the paper (“PAP”) group and required to meet three times with the researcher for screening, baseline (start), and completion of the study. There was a significant difference in the mean urinary sodium change between the APP group and the PAP group from the start of the intervention to the completion (-24.0±32.6 and 8.5±41.9 mmol/g creatinine respectively, p = 0.027). Other positive trends that resulted from the intervention included a decline in dietary sodium in both groups and a higher adherence in the APP group compared to the PAP group regarding recording method. The MyFitnessPal app proved to be a useful tool in reducing and/or monitoring sodium intake. Thus, this trial reinforces the potential of this app to be used for monitoring other nutrients, but further research needs to be conducted. / Dissertation/Thesis / Masters Thesis Nutrition 2016

A importância desta pesquisa está alicerçada na estimação que representa a estrada de ferro no mundo e principalmente em nossa região. A necessidade de preservar a cultura e difundir a memória da história é encontrada no museu ferroviário de Bauru e neste cenário foi desenvolvido uma pesquisa e de um protótipo de App utilizando as tecnologias Android, sensores Beacons (IoT), QRCode, Internet, Bluetooh e dispositivos móveis (Smartphones, Tablet) para tornar mais atraente e interessante aos seus visitantes. A realização do protótipo de App e as tecnologias mencionadas acima trouxeram aos visitantes um novo cenário, unindo-se o mundo real e o virtual, melhorando substancialmente a sua experiência no museu e fazendo com que os visitantes retornem futuramente ao museu e tragam outros visitantes. / Technological innovations, the Internet exponential popularization, the increase use of smartphones and the web access have changed the way we live and communicate, with special emphasis on interactivity, social networks, smart phones, mobile applications, Internet of things, M2M communication, cloud computing among others. The market expectation in relation to the use of IoT - Internet of Things is mentioned in 2015 by the Gardener Hype Cycle and the technology is on the crest of a wave for the next 5 to 10 years. The present work aimed to create a facilitator for museum visitors, developing a prototype of mobile device app using the beacons and the qrcode technology to access information about the railway museum objects. The importance of this research is based on the railway estimation around the world and mainly in our region. The need to preserve culture and spread the history memory is found in Bauru railway museum, and in this scenario a research and an app prototype were developed using android technologies, beacons sensors (IoT), qrcode, internet, bluetooh and Mobile devices (smartphones, tablet) to make the experience more attractive and interesting for the visitors. The app prototype and the technologies mentioned above have brought a new setting to visitors, joining the real and virtual worlds, substantially improving their museum experience and having visitors to go back to the museum in the future and bring other visitors.

Therefore an analysis on how this digital media usage happens and the existing gaps at the current digital media functionalities through a case study is made in order to propose the development of a content aggregation platform that allows a homogeneous presence of these sports organizations at the digital media, generating relevant information to the fans and to these sports organizations and their commercial partners.

Esse conhecimento é de vital importância para a preservação ambiental. O uso das ferramentas de SIG permite o mapeamento do uso e cobertura da terra em escala temporal gerando, dessa forma, informações que auxiliam no planejamento de uso e ocupação da terra com o objetivo de prevenir possíveis desastres ambientais. Devido a fatores que incluem preços baixos da terra e políticas públicas agrícolas, a ocupação do agronegócio desconcentrou-se das regiões Sul e Sudeste do Brasil e passou a se desenvolver nas regiões Centro-Oeste e Nordeste a partir da década de 70, impulsionando dessa forma a produção de grãos no país. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a dinâmica da expansão agrícola no município de Baianópolis - BA, localizado na mesorregião do Extremo Oeste Baiano, no recorte temporal de 1988 a 2008, visando o monitoramento da expansão do uso da terra e seus impactos ambientais. Para compreender a dinâmica da ocupação da terra no município, foi construída uma série temporal de uso e cobertura do solo a partir de dados dos sensores PRISM/ALOS e TM/LANDSAT, utilizando o método de interpretação visual. Com essa técnica foi possível verificar o avanço do uso na cobertura da terra ao longo desse período estabelecido, permitindo a identificação de Áreas de Preservação Permanente que estão sendo ocupadas pelo uso antrópico, assim como áreas de vegetação natural fragmentadas. Essa forma de utilizar dados de sensores remotos orbitais mostrou-se satisfatória para o monitoramento e compreensão da dinâmica da expansão do uso da terra em Baianópolis, podendo servir como subsídio para um planejamento ambiental sustentável na região. __________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / To know the dynamics of land use and occupation allows the identification of changes in the space over a given period of time. This knowledge is of vital importance for environmental preservation. The use of GIS tools allows the mapping of land use and cover in temporal scale generating this way, information that can assist in planning for the use and occupation of the land with the aim to prevent possible environmental disasters. Due to factors that include low prices of land and public agricultural policies, the occupation of agribusiness moved from the South and Southeast regions of Brazil and started to develop in the central-west and northeast regions from the decade of 70, boosting the production of grain in the country. The objective of this study was to analyze the dynamics of agricultural expansion in the municipality of Baianopolis - BA, located in the mesoregion of the West of Bahia, in the time frame from 1988 to 2008, aimed at monitoring the expansion of the use of the earth and its environmental impacts. To understand the dynamics of occupation of the land in the city, a series of use and land cover data from the sensors PRISM/ALOS and TM/Landsat were built using the method of visual interpretation. With this technique it was possible to check the advance of the use in land cover over the set period, allowing the identification of Permanent Preservation Areas that are being occupied by the man-made environment, as well as fragmented areas of natural vegetation. This form of use of orbital remote sensing data was satisfactory for the monitoring and understanding the dynamics of the expansion of land use in Baianopolis, and can serve as support for a sustainable environmental planning in the region.

There is an app for everything, however, not every app delivers what the user expects. As a student, I had many tasks which were routine such as keeping track of the courses, events, exams or to dine. I wished for a mobile application that would ease the burden these routines create. While there was an LNU mobile application, it failed to address some of the needs I had as a student. Consequently, I felt it lacked the tools I needed to be successful. For instance, absent features such as a personalized academic calendar prevented me from finding relevant information about the location and times of classes. On our way to improve the functionality of the current solution, we started with surveying other students and collecting their thoughts about the LNU mobile app. Next, we performed market research in order to understand how other universities handled these needs. Finally, we combined the findings and built a prototype for students to test. The prototype managed to achieve higher rates of student satisfaction and will serve as the basis for future development.

Pernambuco, inserido nos biomas mata atlântica e caatinga, apresenta um arcabouço legal mais restritivo quanto às supressões de vegetação em APPs. Diante deste cenário o presente trabalho visou estudar as APPs em Pernambuco sob a ótica das políticas públicas, e para tanto, analisam-se os sistemas de gestão ambientais nos três níveis da federação; a ligação do tema com os conceitos de utilidade pública e interesse social; e o cenário pernambucano com foco nas APPs. A metodologia baseou-se na abordagem policy cycle e, com adaptações, na construção da chamada matriz lógica. Observou-se que a porosidade da lei leva à ineficácia das políticas públicas que visam a manutenção das APPs, e que mesmo sendo o estado o responsável pelo licenciamento nestas áreas, é no município que o tramites legais se iniciam. A maioria dos municípios, entretanto, não possui recursos humanos, financeiros ou estruturais para cumprir suas funções na área ambiental. Porém, pelo fato das APPs terem o apoio de um arcabouço legal e estarem recebendo mais atenção nos últimos anos, há indícios de mudança no processo político, intermediado pela institucionalização da questão ambiental.

Porém, os assentamentos de reforma agrária têm causado danos ambientais significativos pela forma como são implantados. Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o cumprimento de normas ambientais, por agricultores em assentamentos de reforma agrária, através do uso de indicadores. Para tanto, o trabalho foi dividido em duas etapas. A primeira delas consistiu em conhecer e caracterizar as Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APPs) e as Reservas Legais (RLs) de dois assentamentos rurais - Divina Graça e Serra Grande - situados, respectivamente, nos municípios de Pombos e Vitória de Santo Antão, na Zona da Mata de Pernambuco. Após o mapeamento dos usos do solo nas áreas de estudo, desenvolveu-se a segunda etapa, a qual consistiu na construção de um índice, que pudesse possibilitar a avaliação de desempenho ambiental desses assentamentos. A análise dos dados obtidos com este trabalho possibilitou identificar uma inadimplência nos dois assentamentos estudados, em relação à legislação ambiental em vigor, principalmente no que se refere às APPs de margem. Essas áreas, que são extremamente importantes para a preservação dos cursos d água, apresentaram um baixo nível de cumprimento das normas ambientais, quando comparadas às RLs de ambos os assentamentos, o que levou à classificação, de acordo com o ICNA Índice de Cumprimento de Normas Ambientais , de um bom estado de conservação nas RLs, em função, sobretudo, das ações de restauração já desenvolvidas nessas áreas
