創新生意模式 – 案例分析 LINE / New Business Models of Innovation – Case study of LINE李儒婷, Lee, Sabrina Unknown Date (has links)
創新生意模式 – 案例分析 LINE / As more people around the world start using smartphones, instant-messaging apps are emerging not only as an alternative to conventional mobile text-messaging, but also as a social network that could replace some of the roles played by Facebook Twitter and others.
One of the fastest-growing messaging apps in the world is LINE, developed and operated by Tokyo-based LINE Corp. Just over the past year, LINE has seen the number of its users surge nearly fourfold to more than 500 million. In this paper, we will discuss the reason why LINE become so popular, and how is it new business model work. The main reason LINE become so successful is that LINE grasp the essential needs of users and it also look deeply insight the market. Each function LINE had was not innovative at that time, just like games, photo-sharing, and a Facebook-like home page and timeline, however a lot of people would find it convenient if one app can let them experience many different things, then it combine all the function to become a successful LINE. It also created a new way to communicate for boring text message. It create its virtual stickers often featuring cute and quirky cartoon characters that people can send as messages which change users communicate behavior to use stickers instead of text.
By these cute character it also create new business model. The company’s revenue comes from the sales of virtual stickers as well as virtual items sold in games. Also generate with game title, which design with LINE character. The app also makes money by charging businesses that use official Line accounts to distribute promotional messages. In the future, LINE's ambition is to becoming a broader platform for social network and entertainment. The communication app category is crowded and competitive; therefore the company has to create its irreplaceable value to stand stable in this number one position.

Including Smartphone End User Apps in the Context of the Company Contact CenterZak, Edvard January 2014 (has links)
Smartphones are becoming increasingly popular, with the result that customers prefer to carry out at least some customer services using an app on a mobile device. Among app users, smooth transfer to a live agent is seen as an important feature and this means that the company contact center need a solution to handle this as well as increasing numbers of interactions. The question this thesis tries to answer is "how can smartphone end user apps be included in the context of the company contact center"? To answer this question research was conducted regarding the possibilities of an Android smartphone, with the results of this research being used to define a use case, a state flow diagram and create a demonstration app. The thesis showed that it is possible to have an app as an online channel for customer service interactions. New possibilities in comparison to traditional telephony include that customer data such as topic, authentication, location and multimedia can be sent to the contact center before an actual interaction is started.

Analyzing Mobile App Privacy Using Computation and CrowdsourcingAmini, Shahriyar 01 May 2014 (has links)
Mobile apps can make use of the rich data and sensors available on smartphones to offer compelling services. However, the use of sensitive resources by apps is not always justified, which has led to new kinds of privacy risks and challenges. While it is possible for app market owners and third-parties to analyze the privacy-related behaviors of apps, present approaches are difficult and tedious.
I present two iterations of the design, implementation, and evaluation of a system, Gort, which enables more efficient app analysis, by reducing the burden of instrumenting apps, making it easier to find potential privacy problems, and presenting sensitive behavior in context. Gort interacts with apps while instrumenting them to detect sensitive information transmissions. It then presents this information along with the associated app context to a crowd of users to obtain their expectations and comfort regarding the privacy implications of using the app. Gort also runs a set of heuristics on the app to flag potential privacy problems. Finally, Gort synthesizes the information obtained through its analysis and presents it in an interactive GUI, built specifically for privacy analysts.
This work offers three distinct new advances over the state of the art. First, Gort uses a set of heuristics, elicited through interviews with 12 experts, to identify potential app privacy problems. Gort heuristics present high-level privacy problems instead of the overwhelming amount of information offered through existing tools. Second, Gort automatically interacts with apps by discovering and interacting with UI elements while instrumenting app behavior. This eliminates the need for analysts to manually interact with apps or to script interactions. Third, Gort uses crowdsourcing in a novel way to determine whether app privacy leaks are legitimate and desirable and raises red flags about potentially suspicious app behavior. While existing tools can detect privacy leaks, they cannot determine whether the privacy leaks are beneficial or desirable to the user. Gort was evaluated through two separate user studies. The experiences from building Gort and the insights from the user studies guide the creation of future systems, especially systems intended for the inspection and analysis of software.

Mobile solutions and the museum experienceKoskiola, Annina January 2014 (has links)
This thesis presents four case studies from the Finnish museum sector that are using mobile technologies in diverse ways to enhance the museum experience. At the National Museum of Finland, the mobile solution functions as an aid for providing translations in different languages and thus improving the aesthetic appearance of the exhibition. At Tampere Art Museum, the outdoors mobile tour extends the museum visit outside the physical walls of the building. At Helsinki City Museum the mobile phone is perceived as a communication tool. At Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum the Augmented Reality game combines digital narrative with real-world events, creating a solution that is both entertaining and informative. These solutions are analysed in terms of the Contextual Model, developed by Falk and Dierking. The model divides the museum visit into three overlapping and interacting spheres – personal, social and physical. This thesis looks at how mobile solutions may enhance or hinder the museum experience in regards to each of these three spheres. Additionally, the model is compared with the results of a visitor research conducted at the National Museum of Finland in October 2013. The aim of the thesis is to identify the most successful features of these solutions and to explore how the field could be developed in the future.

Beneficial effects of quetiapine in the APP/PS1 transgenic mice: implications for early intervention for Alzheimer's diseaseZhu, Shenghua 14 July 2011 (has links)
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the leading cause of dementia. Amyloid plaques in the brain remain a pathological feature of AD. These plaques are primarily composed of amyloid β-protein (Aβ). It has been postulated that glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK3β) activity might exert a central role in the development of AD. GSK3β activity has been implicated in tau phosphorylation, APP processing, Aβ production and neurodegeneration. Quetiapine is frequently used to treat psychoses in AD patients at the late stage and has inhibitory effects on GSK3β activity in mouse brains after acute/subchronic treatment. Therefore, the proposed hypothesis is that chronic quetiapine administration after amyloid plaque onset reduces AD like pathology and alleviates AD like behaviours in APP/PS1 transgenic mice by inhibiting GSK3β activity.
APP/PS1 transgenic mice were treated with quetiapine (2.5, 5 mg/kg/day) in drinking water starting from 3.5 months of age, for a period of 8 months. One week after behaviour testing, mice were sacrificed at 12 months of age. Half of the hemispheres were rapidly frozen for immunoblot and ELISA analyses and the other half were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for histological analyses.
Quetiapine treatment reduced amyloid plaques formation in the cortex and hippocampus of AD mice. It also improved the behavioural deficits in these mice, including attenuating impaired memory and anxiety-like phenotypes. In addition, chronic quetiapine administration inhibited GSK3β, which resulted in reduced production of Aβ in cortices and hippocampi of transgenic mice. Quetiapine treatment also significantly decreased the activation of astrocytes and attenuated synapse integrity impairment in transgenic mice. These findings suggest that early application of quetiapine can alleviate memory deficits and pathological changes in the APP/PS1 transgenic mouse model of AD, and further support that modulation of GSK3β activity by quetiapine may be a therapeutic option for AD.

Proteolytic processing of the Alzheimer APP protein family during neuronal differentiationHolback, Sofia January 2009 (has links)
Increased amyloid-β (Aβ) load in the brain, neurite degeneration, neuronal loss, and decreased levels of several neurotrophins are among the characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Generation of Aβ occurs when the amyloid precursor protein (APP) is proteolytically processed by β- and γ-secretases in the amyloidogenic pathway. However, Aβ formation is prevented if APP is cleaved by α- and γ- secretases in the non-amyloidogenic pathway. The normal function of APP is still not fully known. It seems clear that the different fragments that are produced during proteolytic processing have different bioactive properties. APP and its metabolites have been implicated in neurite outgrowth, synaptogenesis, cell adhesion, neuroprotection and apoptosis. The aim of this thesis was to investigate how neurotrophic factors affect the synthesis and processing of APP and its two mammalian paralogues the APP-like protein-1 and-2 (APLP1 and APLP2). We also wanted to determine how the expression levels of α- and β- secretases were affected in response to these factors. In addition, we wanted to analyze if the levels and function of the most well characterized APP adaptor protein, Fe65, was regulated during neuronal differentiation. Our results show that retinoic acid (RA), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) all regulate expression levels and processing of the APP protein family. Interestingly, the increased processing of the APP family involves different signaling pathways. The PI3-K/Akt pathway is involved in IGF-1-induced APP and APLP1, but not APLP2, processing. In addition, RA-induced expression of the α-secretase, a disintegrin and metalloproteinase (ADAM) 10 is dependent on PI3-K, whereas PKC is involved in RA-induced expression of another α-secretase, ADAM17/TACE. Furthermore, we present evidence that maturation of the adaptor protein Fe65, as well as its docking to APP, increases concomitant with neuronal differentiation. / At the time of the doctoral defense, the following papers were unpublished and had a status as follows: Paper 4: Manuscript.

_______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This study aims at examining the illegal occupation of the areas of urban permanent
preservation from the perception of many actors of all social performers public agencies, local
communities, and environmentalists, with a focus on the Prato Raso Lagoon, in Feira de
Santana, Bahia . The study was conducted from analysis of legal standards that protect the
permanent preservation areas in the city and the perception of the actors on the conflict
involving illegal occupation of these areas. To meet the goal of the work, individual
interviews were conducted with the use of forms for semi-structured. The research in question
sought to raise the perception of actors on: i) irregular occupation in the Lagoon of Prato
Raso, ii) on the perception of residents and environmentalists about the need to preserve the
environment for present and future generations, iii) the perception of residents and
environmentalists about the importance of the conservation of the Lagoon of Prato Raso to
the city, iv) the perception of residents, environmentalists and public agencies about the
conflicts arising from the illegal occupation of the Lagoon of Prato Raso, v) the perception of
public authorities about the effectiveness of the law to resolve the conflict and ensure the right
of all to a balanced environment. Information obtained was analyzed, compared among
members, within each category of interviewees. This work then concludes that the
community of the Prato Raso Lagoon, public agencies and the environmentalists in general,
recognize the need to balance the preservation of the environment. The invaders, however do
not know the environmental and cultural importance of the Prato Raso Lagoon to the
conservation of the environment in the city and unlike the environmentalists, defend the total
occupation of the lagoon, destroying it entirely. This is the solution that lead to the conflicts
arising from the irregular occupation. Environmentalists and public agencies do not see an
easy solution or tailored to the financial realities of the municipality get lost before the
inefficiency of the legal means to ensure the protection of these areas. The neglect and failure
of public agencies stimulates and strengthens the irregular occupations that expand as pests,
destroying completely, what remains of that wealth.

Evaluating the performance of aggregate production planning strategies under uncertaintyJamalnia, Aboozar January 2017 (has links)
The thesis is presented in three papers format. Paper 1 presents the first bibliometric literature survey of its kind on aggregate production planning (APP) in presence of uncertainty. It surveys a wide range of the literatures which employ operations research/management science methodologies to deal with APP in presence of uncertainty by classifying them into six main categories such as stochastic mathematical programming, fuzzy mathematical programming and simulation. After a preliminary literature analysis, e.g. with regard to number of publications by journal and publication frequency by country, the literature about each of these categories is shortly reviewed. Then, a more detailed statistical analysis of the surveyed research, with respect to the source of uncertainty, number of publications trend over time, adopted APP strategies, applied management science methodologies and their sub-categories, and so on, is presented. Finally, possible future research paths are discussed on the basis of identified research trends and research gaps. The second paper proposes a novel decision model to APP decision making problem based on mixed chase and level strategy under uncertainty where the market demand acts as the main source of uncertainty. By taking into account the novel features, the constructed model turns out to be stochastic, nonlinear, multi-stage and multi-objective. APP in practice entails multiple-objectivity. Therefore, the model involves multiple objectives such as total revenue, total production costs, total labour productivity costs, optimum utilisation of production resources and capacity and customer satisfaction, and is validated on the basis of real world data from beverage manufacturing industry. Applying the recourse approach in stochastic programming leads to empty feasible space, and therefore the wait and see approach is used instead. After solving the model using the real-world industrial data, sensitivity analysis and several forms of trade-off analysis are conducted by changing different parameters/coefficients of the constructed model, and by analysing the compromise between objectives respectively. Finally, possible future research directions, with regard to the limitations of present study, are discussed. The third paper is to appraise the performance of different APP strategies in presence of uncertainty. The relevant models for various APP strategies including the pure chase, the pure level, the modified chase and the modified level strategies are derived from the fundamental model developed for the mixed chase and level strategy in paper 2. The same procedure, which is used in paper 2, follows to solve the models constructed for these strategies with respect to the aforementioned objectives/criteria in order to provide business and managerial insights to operations managers about the effectiveness and practicality of these APP policies under uncertainty. Multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods such as additive value function (AVF), the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) and VIKOR are also used besides multi-objective optimisation to assess the overall performance of each APP strategy.
