Menų terapijos kaip socialinės paslaugos taikymo situacija Lietuvoje specialiosiose įstaigose / Arts therapy as social services applied in special institutions: the situation in Lithuania

Šneideraitytė, Silvija 12 July 2010 (has links)
Augantis susidomėjimas menų terapija, neįgaliųjų meniniu ugdymu, meninės raiškos teikiamos naudos suvokimu, atsiranda menų terapijos kaip socialinės paslaugos teikimo poreikis specialiosiose įstaigose, tačiau kol kas galimybės taikyti menų terapiją yra ribotos. Lietuvoje, menų terapijos (dailės, muzikos, dramos) specialistai dar nėra rengiami, išsilavinimas tampa pagrindine kliūtimi. / Growing interest in art therapy, arts education for the disabled, artistic expression of the perception of benefits, there is a growing need for art therapy as a social service for special facilities, although the possibilities for applying art therapy are limited. Empatins betydelse i konstnärliga terapier : en intervjustudie

Forsmo, Katrin January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the importance of empathy in different artistic therapies. A hermeneutic approach is used in both the method and the analytical reading. The foundation for the analysis has been three interviewers with three therapists. The concept of empathy is described throw a development- psychological perspective and a psychodynamic perspective. Five summarize themes where found from the interviews. 1 The empathic purpose. 2 The therapist as a good example. 3 Artistic creativity. 4 Intersubjectivity. 5 Process of change. In the discussion the empathy-concept is being studied. How it is being used. And a need of describing intersubjective processes which is a prerequisite for empathy. The basic intersubjective interaction has a close relation to the artistic interactionforms which the therapists are using practically and theoretically.

The Evaluation of a Psychosocial Expressive Arts Program in Liberia During the Ebola Epidemic

Decosimo, C. Alexis 01 May 2017 (has links)
Disaster, community-wide trauma, and epidemics can have devastating effects on a child’s emotional and psychological wellbeing (Wethington, Hahn, Fuqua-Whitley et al., 2008). The 2014-2015 Liberian Ebola epidemic was detrimental to a country still recovering from a 14-year war. In Liberia alone there were 10,678 confirmed cases and 4,810 Ebola deaths (CDC, 2016). The physical, emotional, and psychological toll of this epidemic was extraordinary. An United States non-profit, Playing to Live (PTL), worked alongside the Liberian government, ministries and local and international organizations to find an innovative solution to the psychological and emotional healing of children and families most affected. This solution used best practices in expressive arts therapy, mental health, and train the trainer models. The purposes of these studies were to evaluate the process of the PTL programming, the outcome effects based on pre-and posttests of child participants psychological stress symptoms (PSS), and explore lessons learned and implications for future programming. Process evaluation results indicated positive reactions to programming from both facilitators and child participants. Results also brought forth considerations for future programming. Outcome data from the pre-and post PSS symptoms showed a significant decrease for both 5-months and 3-months of PTL programming. In addition, a significant difference on pre-and post-symptoms for the 5-month and 3-month treatment groups was found, indicating that longer treatment yields greater results. A review of best practices and lessons learned was discussed for future implications for PTL and similar programs.

Arteterapia com famílias e psicanálise winnicottiana: uma proposta de intervenção em instituição de atendimento à violência familiar / Art therapy with families and Winnicotts psychoanalysis: a proposal of intervention in an institution for cases of family violence

Sei, Maíra Bonafé 09 October 2009 (has links)
The Winnicotts Psychoanalysis is based on the belief that the creative life is related to health. Winnicott has proposed the Therapeutic Consultations, when the psychotherapy was not possible and the person could be helped with just a few meetings. He has created the Squiggle Game, in which the contact between therapist and patient occurs through drawings. It is understood that the sum of these features allows an articulation of this theory to the practice of Art Therapy, a therapeutic intervention that offers artistic resources to facilitate expression and communication. It was aimed on this research to build a proposal of intervention with families, in a practice of Art Psychotherapy guided by Winnicotts Psychoanalysis, applied to an institutional context. This is a qualitative research in Clinical Psychology, through which 10 families were attended, clients of an institution of attention of family violence cases.. The family psychotherapeutic process was undertaken with the provision of artistic resources available in an \"art box\" consisted of different expressive materials and available in the consultations. It was chose three families to deepen the understanding of the process, focusing on the importance of the initial meetings in the construction of the family therapeutic process, with the use of Art Therapy as a facilitator of communication of thoughts and feelings and on the limits and scope of this form of therapy. It was noticed that families had difficulties to join the intervention, with early discontinuation of care. It is understood that this interruption may have occurred due to the proposal to reflect on family experiences, the pain resulted from the violence and the questions about the roles that each person occupies in the family. The use of artistic materials facilitated and enriched the contributions of children and adolescents. It also supplemented the understanding of adults, with its rare but revealing productions, in addition to improve the understanding of family dynamics. Despite the difficulties encountered, particularly related with the focus on the family as the sessions patient, in psychological care in institutions for family violence cases, it is considered that observing the family as the patient is indeed necessary. Finally, it was noted that the Art Therapy could be a facilitator of the psychotherapeutic process with these families, because it minimizes the resistance and increases the understanding of the group, with higher gains provided by the intervention.

Inner struggles fought on paper

Unknown Date (has links)
As an MFA candidate at the Florida Atlantic University, I began in figurative painting and ended with abstract ink and pencil drawings in my thesis work. In between was a progression of artistic experimentation in theme, technique and medium to explore issues of female identity and childhood sexual abuse. From a girl trapped in a dark fairytale to a pregnant woman followed by a pedophile to a new mother frustrated that her own ambitions have been usurped, the final transformation of female identity into fierce protector came after confronting memories of child abuse. Using India ink and pencil drawings, my thesis work recreates scenes of a struggle between the same attacker and a powerful mother. She spins her own hair into a delicate, but powerful, barrier that keeps her daughter safe. / Includes bibliography. / Thesis (M.F.A.)--Florida Atlantic University, 2014.. / FAU Electronic Theses and Dissertations Collection

The theoretical and methodological references are drawn from art therapy seen through a phenomenological approach. In this idea it is argued which are the stressful factors of the health work done in ICU and how these factors affect the professionals from this area. This research was carried out with four ICU professionals who had experience in public health attendance. This group had ten meetings where art therapeutic experiments were used. The thoughts that each one of them experienced in the process were gathered as well as the understandings about their artistic productions. The dealing of indicators went through several steps. The speech of the participants was recorded in order to bring out the experienced process. Then they were organized in nucleus to arise main subjects to be analyzed. Verbal language as well as artistic language were both considered. The analysis pointed out indicators, which allowed identifying the situations and feelings that cause stress-related effects to these professionals in their day-by-day work and also at what extend that art therapeutic resources helped them to solve conflicts. The research emphasizes the need to promote groups for conversations and support to the professionals who work in health service.

It deals with a qualitative research, based in clinical cases interpreted through the lumen of Jungian Analytic Psychology. The expansion occurred always that some unconscious content was integrated to the consciousness in this process. When the unconscious content was retained by mechanisms of defense, pressuring and provoking the increase of the unconscious energetic level, the emergency of a new symbol, enabled by Calatonia and expressed in the mandalas and/or in the process of associations, allowed the transformation of the structure of the consciousness and the assimilation of the unconscious content, that formerly couldn t be assimilated. Both experiences, corporal and artistic, in the process of Calatonia and the accomplishment of mandalas, based on the singularity of the relationship between patient and therapist, reproduced similar conditions of the first relations between people, propitiating the transformation of the complexes and the expansion of consciousness / O objetivo desta pesquisa é compreender a experiência de ampliação de consciência, vivida no processo de psicoterapia, com aplicação de calatonia e expressa por meio de realização de mandalas e das subsequentes associações.

It is necessary to develop interventions that help people to deal with the modern life complexity, challenges, crises and transitions. This study had the motive to develop and evaluate a social emotional competence program done with purpose to facilitate in short term the transition from 4th to 5th grade in a public school. The method used was the intervention-research, in a social clinic context. In spite of, not leading to any assurance, insist on a personal comprehension of the world, of himself and as change agent; emphasizes subject singularity and implies the researcher in the quest of structure, meaning and intervention. (Lévy, 2001; Sèvigny, 2001). Art therapy knowledge, creativity health promotion and social emotional learning, on a contextualized perspective were used to elaborate the program. The program begun with demand construction and students, parents and teachers were interviewed. The intervention lasted eighteen meetings and dealt with the following themes: change and growing as human development stages; self knowledgement; interpersonal relations; problem and conflict resolution techniques and creativity. At the first phase, on 2007, 75 students on the 4th grade participated. On the next year, four months after the school change, 68 students were evaluated: at those, 41 had participated on the intervention and 27 came from other schools and becoming control group. They were evaluated on the following aspects: scholar performance, absence rate, sociometric evaluation, network chart (Sluski, 1997), school description, drawings, teacher s perception and evaluation, parent s interview. Most of the students that participated at the program have showed better than or at least as expected performance, confirming that the intervention contributed to student s adaption on a short term, being effective on developing social emotional abilities / O mundo mudou, as relações interpessoais se modificaram, assim como as práticas educativas, os valores e as representações que se têm da realidade.

Reflexões sobre a materialidade numa abordagem imagético-apresentativa : narrativa de um percurso teórico e prático à luz da psicologia analítica / Reflections on materiality in an imagetical-presentative approach : narrative of a theoretical and practical path in the light of the analytical psychology

Oliveira, Santina Rodrigues de 12 May 2006 (has links)
This dissertation relates the path followed by the researcher around the notion of “materiality" in order to discuss and illustrate an imagetical-presentative approach in the light of the Analytical Psychology. This notion is compared to correlative terms used by authors that also worried about it, like Gaston Bachelard, Alvaro Gouvêa and others closer to Winnicott´s thoughts. It also explores semantic similarities (approximations) and differences that refer to some similar terms like “material" and “raw-material" in order to specify the meaning attributed to “materiality" in this research. The discussion moves forward to the presentation of some notions in the Analytical Psychology field – mainly about consciousness and the dynamic aspect of the psyche, according to C.G.Jung. Besides, the research makes some considerations about the individuation process under an alchemical perspective, taking “materiality" as an "opus cum natura". Afterwards, supported by James Hillman, it proposes the recuperation of "anima mundi" and "aisthesis" notions in order to sustain the presentative aspect of materiality in a dialectical relation with the consciousness. The research aims at questioning the interpretative posture related to materiality when taken exclusively as representational terms and reviews the method proposed by Jung, under a phenomenological point of view towards the psychic images in order to support the proposal of an imagetical-presentative approach, distinguishing it from the therapy practices with arts or art therapy – that consider materiality as an expressive resource. It also makes an incursion in the topic “group process" in the Analytical Psychology field – as some reports of sessions of an experiential group are used in order to illustrate the discussion. Although it does not propose a case study of the group, this dissertation identifies some topics that were constellated throughout the sessions. Finally, this research points transformations observed simultaneously in the group and in the identity of the researcher that ended up in the elaboration of a new proposal towards materiality in the individual/group setting – that here is called imagetical-presentative.
