This work is the result of a Research Master Program of Graduate Studies in Education at the Institute of Human and Social Sciences, Federal University of Mato Grosso , Campus Rondonópolis and aimed to: understand the process of construction of pedagogical knowledge of bachelor for the practice of teaching teacher; analyze what the teacher assigns meaning to the teaching profession ; understand the perception of the bachelor teacher and their practice in the construction of pedagogical knowledge process and investigate how the bachelor teacher appropriates the knowledge of teaching . The question that guided the research was : how the bachelor teacher builds pedagogical knowledge for the teaching profession ? The methodology adopted in the research process was interpretive and qualitative research had as instruments of data collection : memorials and semi-structured interviews with 05 graduates teachers . As theoretical interlocutors who would support dialogue about teacher learning and teaching, as well as to build a theoretical position in the field of Pedagogical Knowledge , highlight the following authors : Carvalho (2005 ) , Libâneo (1994 , 2011) , Pimenta ( 2000) , Franco (2008 ) , Tardif (2010 ) , Freire (2011 ) , Mizukami (2002 ) , Cunha (2006 ) , Gauthier (2006 ) , Imbernon (2006 ) , Rios (2001 ) and Veiga (2009 ) . The survey results revealed that the practices of the teachers are graduates grounded in their beliefs and these are being built gradually from early life experiences and over time these beliefs will solidify and giving direction to their actions , which helps the construction of the knowledge necessary for the practice of teaching with practice. Also revealed that being a teacher in technology education involves, for the teachers , the constant search for updates in order to keep up with the dynamic and complex technological environment. However , it was evident in the reports, a feeling of isolation in the search for this update , it is necessary that the institution provides a continuing education program for teachers who work in professional education technological level, aims at building a collective pedagogical do.

The guiding question of this study asks: what relationships are established by Bachelors, who are teachers, between their professional education and their performance as a teacher? My objective is to understand the meanings attributed by the Bachelor teachers to teaching at the university level, seeking indicators about the relationships established by them, between their professional education and being a teacher. For this, the methodology used was the Comprehensive Interview, which permits, through the individual s oral discourse, the interpretation of meanings and values expressed by the teachers about their actions. The research is done through oral discourse collected in interviews and from these I analyze the elements that are revealed, and those which help me in the development of this object of study. I understand that the contribution about the possibilities of action and continued education for Bachelors who act as instructors in Higher Education is increasingly necessary, through research, because through continuing education teachers can revisit their actions and reformulate meanings they attribute to teaching as a profession. I consider the debate about meanings about teaching and the relationships with the initial education is not only necessary in the investigation of the Bachelors who act as professors, but also the credentialed teachers, because the teacher s sense of identity and their professional development is constructed through a historical process and in relation to the alternative positioning in the contexts of which they are a part / A necessidade de se pesquisar sobre os sentidos e rela??es entre bacharelado e doc?ncia pode ser considerado um exerc?cio capaz de auxiliar a compreens?o da pr?pria atua??o do bacharel como professor.

Silva, Aline Clissiane Ferreira da January 2017 (has links)
According to music education literature, teaching practice, as a component of teacher training, is a privileged activity to mobilize and articulate different types of knowledge, to develop experiential knowledge, to integrate theory and practice and to approach educational realities in order to better understand them and acting on them. Teaching practice allows student teachers to incorporate professional skills and gestures towards the development of a professionality. Based on this perspective, this dissertation aimed at to investigate signs of the emergence of the professionality of student teachers enrolled in a bachelor degree program in music education. More specifically, it aimed at to identify, in the conceptions and actions of these student teachers, signs of recognition of the teaching function; signs of recognition of a specific knowledge of the profession; signs of decision-making and autonomy in the performance of the teaching function; and signs of a sense of belonging to a collective body that practices a profession. The concept of emergent professionality, by Anne Jorro, and the descriptors of teaching professionality, presented by Maria do Céu Roldão, constituted the study´s theoretical framework. A qualitative case study was carried out, with data being collected through observations, semi-structured interviews and analysis of documents. The results indicate that the teaching practice may involve, besides types of knowledge, other aspects that characterize the music teacher profession. Through seeking to deepen the understanding of the emergency process of the professionality that happens during the teaching practice, this research characterizes, at least partially, how the music student teacher comes close to the profession for which he/she is being trained. The results also indicate some conditions that can be offered to student teachers that can contribute to the emergence of the professionality.

Perceptual Video Quality Assessment Tool

Dhakal, Prabesh, Tiwari, Prabhat, Chan, Pawan January 2014 (has links)
Subjective video quality is a subjective characteristic of video quality. It is concerned with how a video is perceived by the viewer and designates his or her opinion on the particular video sequence. Subjective video quality tests are quite expensive in terms of time (preparation and running) and human resources. The main objectives of this testing is how the human observes the video quality since they are the ultimate end user. There are many ways of testing the quality of the videos. We have used ITU-T Recommendation P.910. / In our research work, we have designed the tool that can be used to conduct a mass-scale level survey or subjective tests. ACR is the only method used to carry out the subjective video assessment. The test is very useful in the context of a video streaming quality. The survey can be used in various countries and sectors with low internet speeds to determine the kind of video or the compression technique, bit rate, or format that gives the best quality. / 0700627491, 0760935352

An investigation of prior learning assessment processes in Texas public universities offering nontraditional baccalaureate degrees.

Freed, Rusty 05 1900 (has links)
Undergraduate enrollment in colleges and universities has grown and changed drastically over the past 2 decades, with a significant portion of this growth coming from the increased number of nontraditional students who have made the decision to make their way onto college and university campuses to pursue a college degree. Due to these changes, many institutions of higher education have had to rethink the way they have historically operated. In an attempt to better meet the needs and demands of adult nontraditional students, colleges and universities have reviewed their existing programs and instituted programs that allow for the awarding of academic credit for prior learning. For those institutions of higher education involved in the prior learning assessment (PLA) process and interested in providing a quality program, an increased emphasis and focus should be on the importance of determining what a learning activity is, and more importantly, what constitutes college-level learning. This study focused on the identification and profiling of prior learning assessment (PLA) processes in Texas public universities offering nontraditional baccalaureate degree programs, the identification of commonalties among such programs, and the determination of program quality based on established standards. The instrument utilized in this study was designed on Urban Whitaker's 10 Standards of Good Practice. The population consisted of those public institutions of higher education in Texas that offer the Texas CIP code 30.9999.40 - Applied Arts and Sciences - baccalaureate degree. A within-stage mixed-model methodology was used. Open-ended questions were used to strengthen the data obtained from the quantitative portion. This research study suggests that, although there are similarities with regards to the types of PLA processes used in the awarding of PLA credit, many of the organizations could benefit from an evaluation of their current policies, procedures, and/or common practices related to the process of awarding credit via prior learning assessment as they relate to overall quality.

Coordinate conversion for the Hough transform

Eriksson, Edvin January 2021 (has links)
This thesis attempts to develop a conversion algorithm between local coordinates in constituent detector modules and global coordinates encompassing the whole detector structure in a generic detector. The thesis is a part of preparatory work for studying the Hough Transform as a means of track reconstruction in the level-1 hardware trigger in the upgraded trigger and data acquisition (TDAQ) system in the phase 2 upgrade of the ATLAS detector at CERN. The upgrades being made are to withstand much more extreme conditions that come with the high-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). Two algorithms have been made and then implemented in Python scripts to test their feasibility and to compare them against each-other. The Rotation algorithm uses several rotations to correctly place the local coordinates in the global system. The second, the Shear algorithm, simplifies the process into two shears and one rotation, using the small angle approximation. Both algorithms need to be extended to work with more parts of the detector to be considered complete. Despite having lower maximum precision the second algorithm is considered the most promising attempt, since it is much less sensitive to the truncation error that results from working in an integer environment, which is a requirement for use in FPGAs.

Digibar : An analysis of the future's bartender / Digibar : En analys av framtidens bartender

Degernäs, Ted, Wenning, Måns January 2023 (has links)
The objective of this project is to provide bars with a cost-effective and straightforward way to increase their output per employee, allowing them to reduce drink prices. To achieve this, we have fully automated the bartender’s process, with staff only required to refill ingredients as they deplete and handle the payment for orders. The prototype has been tested for accuracy in knowing which drink to pour as well as in the precision of how much to pour. In testing, the prototype demonstrated a high level of accuracy in identifying which drink to pour, utilizing a load cell programmed to dispense the drink closest to the measured weight. The pouring accuracy was slightly less precise, particularly at lower volumes, but still met expectations, achieving an average accuracy of 93.75 percent for low volumes, increasing to circa 100 percent for larger volumes. Overall, the goals for the prototype were achieved, and the prototype’s ability to increase efficiency and reduce costs for bars is highly feasible.

Heavy duty EPS and its theoretical requirements

Essén, Christopher January 2022 (has links)
In today’s lighter vehicles, EPS has had smaller breakthroughs, but not in heavyduty due to its high initial cost and lack of research. Even though there ispotential in the future when trucks may go electric. In this report, the theoreticalrequirements to implement an EPS system will be determined and investigatedalong with an in depth analysis of the electrical motor and planetary gearbox used.A preferred EPS system will consist of a Permanent magnet electric motor and aplanetary gearbox with optimized characteristics regarding voltage, cost, shape, dimensions and layout. The results lead to a theoretical EPS system that can befitted into a heavy duty truck’s engine compartment. Problems with implementingEPS, such as cost, electrical issues and limited space as well as possibilities forfuture work are discussed.
