Le texte généré automatiquement a été utilisé dans de nombreuses occasions à des buts différents. Il peut simplement passer des commentaires générés dans une discussion en ligne à une tâche beaucoup plus malveillante, comme manipuler des informations bibliographiques. Ainsi, cette thèse introduit d'abord différentes méthodes pour générer des textes libres ayant trait à un certain sujet et comment ces textes peuvent être utilisés. Par conséquent, nous essayons d'aborder plusieurs questions de recherche. La première question est comment et quelle est la meilleure méthode pour détecter un document entièrement généré.Ensuite, nous irons un peu plus loin et montrer la possibilité de détecter quelques phrases ou un petit paragraphe de texte généré automatiquement en proposant une nouvelle méthode pour calculer la similarité des phrases en utilisant leur structure grammaticale. La dernière question est comment détecter un document généré automatiquement sans aucun échantillon, ceci est utilisé pour illustrer le cas d'un nouveau générateur ou d'un générateur dont il est impossible de collecter des échantillons dessus.Cette thèse étudie également l'aspect industriel du développement. Un aperçu simple d'un flux de travail de publication d'un éditeur de premier plan est présenté. À partir de là, une analyse est effectuée afin de pouvoir intégrer au mieux notre méthode de détection dans le flux de production.En conclusion, cette thèse a fait la lumière sur de multiples questions de recherche importantes concernant la possibilité de détecter des textes générés automatiquement dans différents contextes. En plus de l'aspect de la recherche, des travaux d'ingénierie importants dans un environnement industriel réel sont également réalisés pour démontrer qu'il est important d'avoir une application réelle pour accompagner une recherche hypothétique. / Automatically generated text has been used in numerous occasions with distinct intentions. It can simply go from generated comments in an online discussion to a much more mischievous task, such as manipulating bibliography information. So, this thesis first introduces different methods of generating free texts that resemble a certain topic and how those texts can be used. Therefore, we try to tackle with multiple research questions. The first question is how and what is the best method to detect a fully generated document.Then, we take it one step further to address the possibility of detecting a couple of sentences or a small paragraph of automatically generated text by proposing a new method to calculate sentences similarity using their grammatical structure. The last question is how to detect an automatically generated document without any samples, this is used to address the case of a new generator or a generator that it is impossible to collect samples from.This thesis also deals with the industrial aspect of development. A simple overview of a publishing workflow from a high-profile publisher is presented. From there, an analysis is carried out to be able to best incorporate our method of detection into the production workflow.In conclusion, this thesis has shed light on multiple important research questions about the possibility of detecting automatically generated texts in different setting. Besides the researching aspect, important engineering work in a real life industrial environment is also carried out to demonstrate that it is important to have real application along with hypothetical research.

This diploma thesis describes the life and professional destiny of Professor Jan Bouzek on the background of historical situations. This Czech intellectual, thanks to his deep education and his philosophy of life, was able to prosper in the field of science while confronting the peripetials of fate in the complicated period of the second half of the 20th century in Czechoslovakia. It is a socially-historically conceived commentary biography. The second chapter consists of philosophical considerations of human action and sociological perspective. In the third chapter I describe the chosen method, the oral history and sources of the biography. The content of the most extensive, fourth chapter is a detailed biography of Jan Bouzek with historical and factual inputs. It covers all his personal and professional life, from childhood, through studies, to the beginnings of scientific work, to the achievement of scientific degrees. Problem of catalog objectives in digital environment: development and trends in building library catalogs from the bibliographic point of view PhDr. Barbora Drobíková Abstract The aim of the thesis is to explore current trends in building library catalogs from the bibliographic point of view. It focuses on formulation and exploration of trends in bibliography which may influence the library catalogs in near future. The introductory part defines several basic terms. It deals with the catalog objectives and methodological and technological questions in brief. Larger chapters describe the conceptual models FRBR, FRAD and FRSAD and studies which bring these models. These studies show a new view on objectives of bibliographic and authority records, therefore on library catalogs objectives too. This part is closed by an own analysis of these models, their comparison with the object-oriented model FRBRoo including a proposal of FRAD's and FRSAD's implementation into an object-oriented form. This bibliography is an update of Thomas Geider’s comprehensive bibliography of 100 pages which he published in Swahili Forum 10 (2003). Thomas Geider had almost finished it when he fell ill in April 2010. He left the manuscript when he passed away on 15 October 2010. It has been completed and edited by the editors of Swahili Forum, and comprises mainly works published between 2003 and 2009. Also included are some works published in 2001 and 2002 which came to Thomas Geider’s attention after he had completed his 2003 bibliography.

<p dir="ltr">The popularity and success of <i>A Testimonie of Antiquitie </i>is apparent in the number of printed editions between 1566-1687; as Allen Frantzen writes in his <i>Desire for Origins</i>, it was one of the most frequently printed Old English texts. However, no one has ever conducted a critical examination of every printed edition of Ælfric’s Easter Homily from its first printing in 1566/1567 to its last printed edition in the seventeenth century in 1687. Examining these editions through a book and print history lens is vastly productive. It enables us to see how printers and translators have made lasting impacts on the text and how historical events influenced the editorial decisions and production of the editions. Furthermore, comparing and contrasting the transcriptions and translations in the editions brings new understanding as to how translators and printers were utilizing these texts for editorial and formatting purposes. From this examination, we can draw important connections among the editions; these connections demonstrate which edition a translator and printer utilized for their publication of the text. Tracking the editorial and formatting changes of the editions and placing those changes within a historical context provides key information on why and how these editions were being produced. Moreover, this dissertation exemplifies the trajectory of early modern English book and print history.</p>

Dan Beaty (1937-2002) was a prolific composer, pianist, researcher, educator, and writer. His large compositional output included chamber works, choral works, songs, orchestral pieces, electronic music, and keyboard works. Beaty was well versed in traditional Western music as well as the more avant-garde and perplexing idioms of the twentieth century. Beaty's compositions reflect the many fascinating, if not always popular, musical trends of his time. His music encompasses styles from serial to jazz, shows compositional influences from Arnold Schoenberg to Indonesian music, and demonstrates thought-provoking and highly intellectual craftsmanship. This document explores several of Beaty's songs through a discussion of the composer's life and compositional process. Songs included in this document are Three Weeks Songs, October, November, A Sappho Lyric, Love Song, That Night When Joy Began, and War Lyrics. This document was written to accompany the author's DMA Lecture-Recital at the University of North Texas. Unfortunately, Beaty's vocal music was never published and is mostly unknown. One goal of the project was to initiate interest in Beaty's songs. Through this document, Lecture-Recital, and additional performances, considerable strides have been made to bring Beaty's songs to new audiences throughout the United States. In addition, the author has received permission from the Beaty family to publish Dan Beaty's songs.

Harry Sparnaay was a major contributor to the development of unaccompanied works for the bass clarinet and commissioned over 100 pieces for bass clarinet alone. While Sparnaay's book, The Bass Clarinet: A Personal History, includes a list of works written for him, there is minimal information available regarding most of these pieces. This project fills the information gap for this repertoire by providing publication status/score availability, performance challenges, recording history, program notes, and composer information. Each work is classified into three categories based on its publication status and recording history, providing a framework for understanding which works have entered the standard repertoire for the instrument.

Through research into suggested sources a study was made to provide a collection of supplemental reading materials for use by teachers of American history at the junior high school level. These materials are intended to provide information, to promote individual achievement, to spark interests, and to be a motivation for independent reading.

Le premier but de cette thèse est d’identifier et de décrire bibliographiquement les traductions en langue française du Cantique des cantiques, publiées sur support imprimé, quels que soient le support éditorial, la date et le lieu de la publication. Une lecture minutieuse de ces traductions, les confrontant aux textes sources essentiellement hébreux et latins, et les situant dans leur contexte historique, éditorial et confessionnel, vise à déterminer, selon la méthode d’Antoine Berman, le « projet de traduction » et l’« horizon du traducteur ». Sur cette base, des études de cas sont réalisées : partant de problèmes théoriques de la traduction, puis d’un choix d’extraits significatifs du texte, l’ensemble du corpus est confronté dans une perspective à la fois diachronique et synchronique. L’ensemble de l’étude illustre la façon dont chaque traduction est l’incarnation d’une lecture spécifique du Cantique des cantiques. / The primary aim of this thesis is to identify and to give a bibliographical description of all the French translations of the Song of Songs that have been published in print since the Renaissance, regardless of their editorial support, date and place of publication. A close reading of these translations will then allow us to determine, following Antoine Berman’s method, the “translation project” and the “translator’s horizon”, by comparing them with their source texts (mostly in Hebrew and Latin) and by situating them in their historical, editorial and religious contexts. Accordingly, a number of case studies have been carried out : first, considering theoretical problems of translation, then by comparing a selection of key excerpts from the text, the entire text corpus has been analyzed from both a diachronic and a synchronic perspective. The entire study illustrates the extent to which each translation is the embodiment of a specific reading of the Song of Songs.
