Nessa vertente, a hospitalidade vem ganhando cada vez mais importância e se transforma em um fator decisivo para a escolha de um meio de hospedagem que servirá de lar temporário para os turistas enquanto estão longe de suas casas. Os turistas que fazem parte do segmento populacional denominado Melhor Idade vem optando por hospedagens mais simples e receptivas como Hostels, ou Albergues da Juventude, a Hotéis, não somente pela diferença de preço mas também por agregar outros fatores importantes. Esses meios de hospedagens estão prontos para receber essa nova demanda? A partir disso, o presente artigo propõe identificar e caracterizar o perfil dessa nova demanda, assim como suas necessidades e preferências, através de pesquisas de campo feitas com uma amostra desse segmento, de forma a saber como os meios de hospedagens estão se preparando para recebê-los. / The tourism comes, with time, is increasingly gaining strength in a shied named Best Age. In this shied, the hospitality is gaining each time more importance and turning itself in a decisive factor to the choice of a hosting place that will suit as a temporary home for tourists while they are away of their homes. The tourists that are part of this population shied called Best Age come choosing simpler receptive lodgings like Hostels, or Youth Hostel, than Hotels, for the difference of price but also for adding other important factors. Are these hosting places ready to receive this new demand? Therefore, the present article proposes to identify and profile of this new demand, as well as their needs and preferences, through field surveys made with a sample of this segment, in order to know how the hosting places are preparing to receive them.

The purpose hereof is the study of new technologies as a social inclusion subsidy, having as subject matter of study the elderly and their social inclusion. This essay aims at showing that human being s aging process requires a constant update of people s general knowledge along time. Particularly: 1) examining the possibility of an active aging process, with the presence of new technologies in the familiar and social relationships; 2) describing changes resulting from the use of new technologies in professional relationships. The analysis material consisted of the researcher s experience on the adult s aging process and on the active life expectancy. The study was made by applying the theoretical analytic methodology. The results achieved with the use of a questionnaire and analysis of the corresponding answers thereto pointed out that Best Agers must keep themselves updated, should not fear challenges posed by new technologies, and can face the aging process in an active way within the society of which they make part. Everyone knows that aging is part of life s cycle. However, coming to old age is an achievement. The conclusion hereof is that the study on the aging process and life quality contributed to understand the needs of these people as former students, while encouraging them to take part in this new world. For that reason, new perspectives are required to update best agers knowledge and follow them up, through Continued Education / Esta dissertação situase na linha de pesquisa Processo e Práticas Sociais do Programa de Estudos PósGraduados em Gerontologia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Tem, por tema, o estudo das novas tecnologias como subsídio para inserção social, e, por objeto de estudo o idoso e sua inserção social. O objetivo desta pesquisa é mostrar que o envelhecimento do ser humano requer, no decorrer do tempo, uma atualização de seus conhecimentos. Especificamente: 1) examinar a possibilidade de um envelhecimento ativo, de novas tecnologias no relacionamento familiar e social; 2) descrever as mudanças decorrentes da utilização de novas tecnologias, no relacionamento profissional. O material de análise foi a experiência vivenciada pelo pesquisador, sobre o processo de envelhecimento do adulto e a expectativa de vida ativa. O procedimento metodológico foi o teóricoanalíticodescritivo. Os resultados obtidos, na aplicação e análise das respostas de um questionário, indicaram que os adultos da Melhor Idade devem manterse atualizados, não temer os desafios das novas tecnologias e podem enfrentar o processo do envelhecimento de modo ativo, na sociedade na qual ele está inserido. Sabemos que envelhecer faz parte do ciclo da vida. Não obstante, chegar à velhice é uma conquista. Concluímos que o estudo, sobre o processo do envelhecimento e a qualidade de vida, contribuiu para compreendermos as necessidades desses exalunos, e, ao mesmo tempo, incentiválos a participar deste novo mundo.
