O paradigma da Educomunicação tem sido objeto da produção dos centros de pesquisa do país, mostrando que a prática vem sendo consolidada e legitimada em termos acadêmicos muito além dos muros da Universidade de São Paulo. A questão proposta é evidenciar de que maneira a Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP tem contribuído para a disseminação do campo da Educomunicação. Para isso, foi realizado um mapeamento bibliométrico de 97 teses e dissertações disponíveis no banco de teses da Capes (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior), entre 1998 e 2011. Além de um levantamento quantitativo, a iniciativa demonstra a existência de um núcleo disciplinar formado por autores nacionais e internacionais, que representam a frente de pesquisa da área. Como contribuição teórica reúne a trajetória de três pesquisadores que desenvolveram trabalhos independentes e simultâneos sobre a inter-relação Comunicação e Educação no início dos anos 2000: José Luiz Braga, Jorge Huergo e Ismar de Oliveira Soares. No caminho da consolidação do campo, a partir da própria trajetória do pensamento dos pesquisadores, de 2000 a trabalhos e entrevistas recentes, é possível identificar as tensões, os conflitos, os pontos de convergência e as influências que fundamentam as práticas e as reflexões educomunicativas. Como primeira análise bibliométrica da Educomunicação, os dados levantados mostram que os fundamentos da inter-relação Comunicação e Educação estão cada vez mais fortalecidos e solidificam um campo específico, que se diferencia tanto de uma quanto de outra área. / The paradigm of Educomunication has been the object of production research centers of the country, showing that the practice is being consolidated and legitimized academically far beyond the walls of the University of São Paulo. The question posed is to show how the School of Communications and Arts at USP has contributed to the spread of field Educomunication. For this, we performed a bibliometric mapping of 97 theses and dissertations available in the database of the CAPES, between 1998 and 2011. In addition to a quantitative survey, the initiative demonstrates the existence of a core discipline formed by national and international authors, who represent the research front area. As a theoretical contribution brings the trajectory of three researchers who developed independent and simultaneous work on the interrelationship Communication and Education in the early 2000s: José Luiz Braga, Jorge Huergo and Ismar de Oliveira Soares. To the consolidation of the field, from the trajectory of the thinking of researchers from 2000 to recent work and interviews, it is possible to identify the tensions, conflicts, points of convergence and the influences that underlie the practices and reflections educomunicativas. As a first Educomunication bibliometric analysis of the data collected show that the fundamentals of the interrelationship communication and education are increasingly strengthened and solidified a specific field, which differs so much from a different area.

Se realizó el análisis de la investigación mexicana en salud indizada en MEDLINE en un periodo de 15 años (1987-2001) con el objetivo de obtener su panorama e impacto en el entorno internacional. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que la ciencia mexicana en salud mantiene un ritmo de crecimiento constante en el periodo estudiado, y que la mayor generación de artículos científicos ha salido de las universidades, principalmente la UNAM, y de los Institutos de Salud gubernamentales. Al mismo tiempo, el mayor impacto internacional lo han conseguido los trabajos de investigación en salud elaborados por la UNAM, y se identificó la centralización de la investigación en pocas regiones del país, situación que ya ha sido reportada en otros estudios similares. Así mismo, la bioquímica, las neurociencias y la farmacología fueron las disciplinas que mayor número de citas obtuvieron / We analyzed the Mexican research in Health Sciences included in MEDLINE, between the period of 1987-2001. The objective was to know its international impact. Results showed that there is a constant growth in the studied period, and that most of scientific articles has been written in universities institutions, mainly the UNAM, and in government Institutes of Health. The greater international impact was obtained by papers elaborated by UNAM researchers, and the centralization of the investigation in few regions of the country was identified. Also, the biochemistry, the neurociencias and the pharmacology were the disciplines with a greater number of received cites.

Knowledge translation and exchange (KTE) is integral to the formation of evidence-informed policy. Prior to the work presented in this dissertation, a significant body of literature existed in the healthcare field regarding research-to-policy KTE; however, little was known about KTE between researchers and policymakers in the Canadian food safety system or the context-specific barriers that influence KTE. A mixed-methods approach was used, grounded in concepts from the healthcare literature, to explore Canadian food safety researchers’ KTE awareness and activities with policymakers, the barriers hindering KTE engagement and success, and timing and informational disparities between research and policy needs that may hinder KTE success. Canadian food safety researcher awareness of and engagement in KTE activities with policymakers was high. However engagement in activities identified as having the greatest potential for KTE success—i.e., collaboration with policymakers at all stages of the research process, provision of syntheses such as systematic reviews, and provision of a searchable database of research findings—was low relative to end-of-research dissemination of findings to policymakers. Several barriers were identified that limited KTE engagement and success from the researcher’s perspective, including an inability to identify relevant policymakers, high policymaker turnover, a lack of resources and support in the research organization, a perceived lack of KTE skills on the part of researchers, and an inability to break free from traditional publish-or-perish research roles. Apparent informational disconnects (i.e., research output not meeting policymakers’ apparent informational needs) were identified that may further hinder KTE and evidence-informed policymaking. While new methodologies, such as systematic review, have been adapted for food safety research, boosting researchers’ potential ability to produce policy-relevant evidence, a cultural shift must occur in research and policymaking organizations, if sustained KTE is to be successful. As well, significant future investment must be made on the part of research organizations and policymakers, if KTE barriers are to be mitigated. As palavras foram categorizadas por significados, signos e símbolos, e número de aparecimentos nos livros. O pico máximo de aparecimento da categoria fotossíntese foi na década de 70 e seu percurso nos livros escolares não foi linear nem progressivo. As buscas realizadas na base de dados ISI-Web of Science de 1945 a 2012 mostraram que o número de artigos, de áreas de pesquisa e de periódicos com o termo “photosynthesis” cresceu significativamente entre 1945-1990, 1990-1991 e 1991-2012. A análise dos resultados obtidos fortaleceu a hipótese de um possível descompasso entre o saber científico produzido e o saber ensinado através de livros escolares. The criteria to examine the books were: books of natural sciences and publication dates. Along with the term photosynthesis, were identified a set of other terms with correlated meanings, although different in spelling. The words were categorized by meanings, signs and symbols, and number of appearances in the books. The peak of onset of photosynthesis category was in the 70s and your pathway in textbooks was neither linear nor progressive. Searches in the database ISI-Web of Science from 1945 to 2012 showed that the number of articles, the areas of research and journals with the term "photosynthesis" grew significantly among 1945-1990, 1990-1991 and 1991-2012. The analysis of the results obtained strengthened the hypothesis of a possible mismatch between scientific knowledge produced and taught knowledge through textbooks. It was concluded that not always the evolution of scientific concepts is followed in time by didactic terms, and that the methodological approach can contribute to the formulation and implementation of other studies related to the so-called scientific knowledge and taught knowledge. Considerations: does the increasing number of scientific publications mean a better development, discussion and updating of scientific concepts? Is this increase significant in the improvement of the concept itself? If yes, will this improvement become part of Natural Science textbooks? These questions, when answered, will contribute to greater interaction between the world of science and the world of education, particularly in the production of teaching materials such as textbooks.

One way to perceive and understand the level of development of environmental accounting is to study the main features of its publications. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze the profile of Spanish publications in accounting journals. To this end, 15 journals were selected and analyzed 74 articles in the period 2001 to 2010. The results show that the peak years of publication are 2001, 2003 and 2006, and authors with more articles in the sample are Moneva Abadía, Larrinaga González, Fernández Cuesta and Archel Domench. In terms of methodology, the works of review, case studies and content analysis, addressing standardization issues, fundamentals of environmental accounting, environmental sustainability indicators and reporting. / Una forma de percibir y entender el nivel de desarrollo de la contabilidad medioambiental es el estudio de las características principales de sus publicaciones. Así, el objetivo de este trabajo es identificar y analizar el perfil de las publicaciones en revistas españolas de contabilidad. Para ello, fueron seleccionadas 15 revistas, y analizados 74 artículos en el periodo comprendido entre 2001 a 2010. Los resultados muestran que los años de mayor publicación son 2001, 2003 y 2006, y los autores con mayor número de artículos en la muestra son Moneva Abadía, Larrinaga González, Fernández Cuesta y Archel Domench. En cuanto a la metodología, destacan los trabajos de revisión, estudios de casos y análisis de contenido. En ellos, se abordan las cuestiones de normalización, fundamentos de la contabilidad medioambiental, indicadores de sostenibilidad medioambiental y divulgación.

It was concluded that not always the evolution of scientific concepts is followed in time by didactic terms, and that the methodological approach can contribute to the formulation and implementation of other studies related to the so-called scientific knowledge and taught knowledge. Considerations: does the increasing number of scientific publications mean a better development, discussion and updating of scientific concepts? Is this increase significant in the improvement of the concept itself? If yes, will this improvement become part of Natural Science textbooks? These questions, when answered, will contribute to greater interaction between the world of science and the world of education, particularly in the production of teaching materials such as textbooks.
