Kulturarv i marknadsföring : En fallstudie av Kosta GlasbrukLindholm, Birger January 2016 (has links)
In this case study I investigate the marketing material published in 2015 by Kosta Glasswork. The aim of this study was to see if and how history and heritage was used for marketing purpose in the cultural economy. I first researched the history of the Glasswork to get a contextual introduction to the place and company. The empirical material I used was brochures and webpages and I categorized the cultural references in different categories. I created four categories: historical references, the year 1742, industrial heritage and heritage and traditions. Theories focus on the cultural economy that play a great part in product and place marketing today. This includes cultural and historical references. There is also an example of influences of the post-industrial era. Former industrial regions can use industrial heritage to become a part of experience tourism and use the heritage as argument to visit and invest in the place. There are often references to the Glassworks history in their marketing material. The history in the advertising has a focus on the founders and the designers of the Glasswork. Kosta was the first glasswork in Sweden to employ a designer and the design traditions is often mentioned in the material. Kosta Glasswork was founded in 1742 and this year is often used in the marketing programme. Kosta Boda since 1742 is the logo of the company. The industrial heritage is casually mentioned, although the glasswork is defined as a national heritage. Kosta Glassworks role in creating the glassworks dominated region in southeast of Sweden, often called “the kingdom of Crystal” is also omitted in the advertising. Closures are not mentioned at all. My conclusion is that history and heritage play a great role in the marketing of Kosta Glasswork. Cultural references are almost in every brochure and article that the company produce. However, the history presented in their published material is not complete and in some cases not correct, in favour to the company.

Synthesis, co-polymerization, and carbonization of Mono-ortho-diynylarene (MODA) and Bis-ortho-diynylarene (BODA) Monomers targeted for Carbon-Carbon CompositesTesfaye, Solomon 07 August 2020 (has links)
High temperature polyarylene networks produced through the step-growth thermal cyclopolymerization of mono-ortho-diynylarene (MODA) and bis-ortho-diynylarene (BODA) monomers have been shown to produce high yielding glassy carbon once pyrolyzed at 1000 °C. In this study the homo- and co-polymerization of both monomers will be studied, and the effects of copolymer composition on the processability when applied to carbonization and carbon-carbon composites. The carbon products from these high temperature polymer matrices will also be characterized. MODA and BODA are prepared through a Sonogashira coupling reaction and are polymerized through a heat-initiated Bergman Cyclization reaction mechanism. This work seeks to show how BODA-MODA copolymers can attenuate current composite processing limitations, and improve mechanical properties while retaining high temperature properties including high carbon yields.

Samverkan i BoDa-enheter : En kvalitativ studie kring personer med funktionsnedsättningHammarsten, Ingrid, Hedin, Marja January 2013 (has links)
Title: Collaboration in BoDa-units. A qualitative study about collaboration regarding people with disabilities. The purpose of this thesis was to internally examine the cooperation between different professions in municipal BoDa-units. By doing a qualitative study using focus-group-interviews in three municipalities, we were able to examine the personnel’s experience of cooperation issues and opportunities in BoDa-units. We have also examined why municipals have introduced BoDa-units and how they work. Those BoDa-units we have examined addresses persons who are severely mentally disabled and with multiple disabilities but also to persons with autism and disruptive behaviour. The personnel working with the users of these services works both at the home with special services and at the daily activity. The unit operations managers are responsible for the whole BoDa-unit. The results have been analysed through the theoretical starting points of actor network theory and system theory, but also via relevant literature and the LSS-legislation. The result showed that the creations of the BoDa-units are based on a comprehensive view on the individual users’ need of safety, environmental adaptation and a structured way of work. The conclusion of this study is that the co-operation benefits exceed the disadvantages and that the prospects for the BoDa-units are both positive and negative depending on which target group it addresses. Vi har med hjälp av kvalitativa fokusgruppintervjuer i tre kommuner undersökt personalens erfarenheter av samverkansproblem och -möjligheter i BoDa-enheterna Vi har också undersökt varför kommunerna infört BoDa-enheter och hur de fungerar. De BoDa-enheter där vi studerat intern samverkan riktar sig mot personer med svåra funktionsnedsättningar och mulithandikapp samt personer med autism och utagerande beteenden. De brukarnära medarbetarna arbetar både i brukarnas boende och deras dagliga verksamhet. Enhetscheferna är ansvariga för hela BoDa-enheten. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av de teoretiska utgångspunkterna aktörsnätverk och systemteori, relevant litteratur samt centrala begrepp och lagstiftning. Resultatet visade att BoDa-enheterna införts utifrån en helhetssyn på enskilda brukares behov av trygghet, miljöanpassning och strukturerat arbetssätt. Slutsatsen var att samverkansfördelarna i dessa enheter med gränsöverskridande arbete överväger samverkansproblemen samt att framtidsutsikterna för BoDa-enheterna är både positiva och negativa beroende på vilken målgrupp verksamheten vänder sig mot. Konceptutveckling av äventyrsbana till Boda Borg : Idéframtagning av ett tema med tillhörande kluriga utmaningar / Concept development of Boda Borg quest : Idea generation of a theme with associated tricky challengesHenriksson, Sandra January 2023 (has links)
Detta projekt är ett examensarbete i samarbete med Boda Borgs äventyrshus i Karlskoga. Examensarbetet utfördes på Karlstads universitet inom utbildningen högskoleingenjör med inriktning innovationsteknik och design. Boda Borg är ett äventyrshus som består av olika äventyrsbanor där besökare ska lösa olika uppgifter för att klara av så många banor som möjligt. Projektet gick ut på att ta fram en ny sådan bana som skulle passa in på Boda Borg och som besökare upplever rolig. Banan skulle innefatta tre rum, ett förrum och den skulle vara grön vilket innebär att den ska ha kluriga utmaningar. Projektet utfördes i sju olika faser: planering, förstudie, produktspecificering, konceptgenerering, konceptval, konceptutveckling och sammanställning. Besökares åsikter och tankar samt teori kring upplevelseindustrin ligger till grund för den slutliga lösningen. Det slutliga konceptet består av tre rum samt ett förrum med temat magi. Banan har en tydlig röd tråd där uppdraget går ut på att stoppa den onda trollkarlen från att bryta sig ut. I första rummet ska besökare blanda en trolldryck som sedan behövs i det sista rummet, rum två går ut på att ta sig in på slottet där trollkarlen hålls fången. Till sist ska besökarna i sista rummet sammankoppla den trolldryck som blandades i rum ett med en trollstav som ska föras enligt ett mönster för att förhindra att förtrollningen på trollkarlen bryts. Banan kallas ”förtrollningen” och resultatet visas i en modell där rummen byggts upp i skala 1:10. / This project is a bachelor thesis in collaboration with Boda Borg’s adventurehouse in Karlskoga. The project was carried out at Karlstad’s university within the program innovation- and design engineering. Boda Borg is an adventure house that consists of different adventure quests where visitors must solve different tasks to complete as many quests as possible. The project consisted in creating a new quest that would fit in at Boda Borg and that visitors would find fun. This quest was supposed to have three rooms and a decorated room outside of the quest. It would also be a green quest which means it should consist of tricky challenges. The project was carried out in seven different phases: planning, prestudy, product specification, concept generation, concept selection, concept development and compilation. Visitor’s opinions and theory about the experience industry is underlying the final solution. The final concept consists of three rooms with a room outside of the quest with the theme magic. The quest has a clear story where the mission is to stop the evil wizard from breaking out of the castle. In the first room, visitors must mix a potion, which is later needed in the last room. The purpose of the second room is getting into the castle where the wizard is being held. Finally, the visitors must connect the potion from room one, and a wand in the last room. They also have to make a pattern with the wand to prevent the spell from breaking. The name of the quest is “the spell” and the result is shown in a prototype built in a scale 1:10.

Ny utmaning : The lost temple of ELDO-RAT-OWängdahl, Jon January 2019 (has links)
Detta examensarbete gjordes i samarbete med Boda Borg Torpshammar där jag fick i uppdrag att ta fram ett förslag till ett nytt quest. Questet skulle ersätta ett tidigare och behövde därför ha ungefär samma svårighetsgrad och samma fysiska nivå. Jag har under projektets gång genomfört tester och brukarstudier för att ta fram hinder och utmaningar samt arbetat fram ett gemensamt tema. Avslutningsvis har jag byggt en fysisk modell som visar förslaget i en skala på 1:10.

Previous issue date: 2018-09-05 / Nenhuma / La présente recherche a comme objectif présenter l’Araguaksã - fête annuelle de la reconnaissance du territoire indigène Pataxó - et d’analyser les manifestations culturelles et historiques dans le contexte de cette célébration qui a débuté le 1er aout 1998 et que cette année de 2018 célébrera sa 20ème édition. La composition textuelle décrit le processus historique de formation et de dispersion territoriale du peuple Pataxó provoqué par la discrimination et la persécution, tandis que le texte d’imagerie montre les aspects artistiques-culturels et enregistre leurs manifestations traditionnelles, dans sa représentation photographique, dans laquelle sont présents les matériaux, les couleurs et les significations du profond symbolisme ethnique. Dans cette étude nous avons adopté une méthodologie de type qualitatif fondée sur une approche ethnographique. Comme méthodes de recueil de données nous avons utilisé l’observation participante, l’entretien semi-structuré, des enregistrements iconographiques, sonores et des images en mouvement. Pour l’analyse de données, nous avons choisi les principes d’analyse de contenu, afin de procéder à l’articulation théorique avec les rapports oraux, les photos du peuple Pataxó et leur mode de vie. La conclusion met en évidence les points importants de la culture autochtone Pataxó, tout en invoquant les droits constitutionnels de demander la reconnaissance civile des mariages réalisés dans les tribu dans les normes et la pratique juridique. / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo apresentar o ARAGWAKSÃ, festa anual em comemoração ao reconhecimento do território indígena Pataxó, e analisar as manifestações culturais e históricas no contexto dessa celebração, que se iniciou em 1º de agosto de 1998 e, neste ano de 2018, estará comemorando a sua 20ª edição. A composição textual descreve o processo histórico da formação e dispersão territorial do povo Pataxó, provocada por discriminação e perseguição; enquanto o texto imagético mostra os aspectos artístico-culturais e registra as suas manifestações tradicionais em sua representação fotográfica, nas quais estão presentes materiais, cores e significados de profundo simbolismo étnico. Nesta pesquisa, adotou-se a metodologia qualitativa de princípios etnográficos, sendo que, para a coleta e a produção de dados, utilizaram-se a observação participante, a entrevista semiestruturada, os registros iconográficos e sonoros e as imagens em movimento. Para analisar os dados, foram escolhidos os pressupostos da análise de conteúdo, a fim de proceder à articulação teórica entre relatos orais, as imagens do povo Pataxó e seu modo de vida. As considerações destacam os pontos importantes da Cultura indígena Pataxó, ao tempo em que invocam os direitos constitucionais para requerer o reconhecimento civil dos casamentos realizados nas aldeias, dentro das normas e da praxe jurídica brasileira. / The present research aims to present ARAGWAKSÃ, an annual celebration to commemorate the recognition of the Pataxó indigenous territory, and to analyze the cultural and historical manifestations in the context of this celebration, which began on August 1, 1998 and in this year of 2018 will be celebrating its 20th edition. The textual composition describes the historical process of the territorial formation and dispersion of the Pataxó people, provoked by discrimination and persecution; while the imagery shows the artistic-cultural aspects and registers their traditional manifestations, in its photographic representation, in which are presented materials, colors and meanings of deep symbolism ethnic. In this research, the qualitative methodology of ethnographic principles was adopted. The participant observation, the semi-structured interview, the iconographic and sound records and the moving images were used for the collection and production of data. In order to analyze the data, the assumptions of the content analysis, were chosen in order to proceed with the theoretical articulation with the oral reports, photos of the Pataxó people and their way of life. The conclusion is to highlight the important points of the Pataxó Indigenous Culture, while invoking the constitutional rights to request the civil recognition of marriages in the villages, within the norms and legal practice in Brazil. / La presente investigación tiene como objetivo presentar el Araguaksán, fiesta anual en conmemoración al reconocimiento del territorio indígena Pataxó, y analizar las manifestaciones culturales e históricas en el contexto de esa celebración, que se inició el 1 de agosto de 1998 y, en este año de 2018, celebrará su 20ª edición. La composición textual describe el proceso histórico de la formación y dispersión territorial del pueblo Pataxó, provocada por discriminación y persecución; mientras que el texto imagético muestra los aspectos artístico-culturales y registra sus manifestaciones tradicionales, en su representación fotográfica, en las que están presentes materiales, colores y significados de profundo simbolismo étnico. En esta investigación, se adoptó la metodología cualitativa de principios etnográficos, siendo que para la recolección y la producción de datos, se utilizaron la observación participante, la entrevista semiestructurada, los registros iconográficos y sonoros y las imágenes en movimiento. Las consideraciones finales destácan los puntos importantes de la Cultura indígena Pataxó, al tiempo que invocan los derechos constitucionales para requerir el reconocimiento civil de los matrimonios realizados en las aldeas, dentro de las normas y de la praxis jurídica en Brazil.
